Posted Feb 8, 2014Glad to see a beta build of MV. Going to start running some tests.
@Pikachukapi
You should be creating regular backups of your worlds. There are several plugins out there that accomplish this and you can always write a backups script. If this goes over your head a simple copy/paste of the world when it is not saving will suffice.
Although a backup feature in MV would be useful for many admins, there are already simple ways to accomplish this. Thus it's unreasonable to expect the devs of MV to add more code to maintain. Algorithms which are not really needed.

Posted Feb 7, 2014Dear Multiverse,
I was working on my server trying to delete some worlds because it was taking up so much space in the worlds config file. I deleted some but then I accidentally removed my spawn, main world, survival games, and other important worlds. I beg you guys to add a Back Up folder so you can make it that once we save changes to the world, it creates a WinRAR file inside that folder that contains the latest save or change that you made to the file. Please, I beg you to do this. I've worked very hard on building those worlds, it took months. All of the hard work I did went to waste. Please, please, PLEASE add this to Multiverse. I bet others would wan't this too. Thank you.

Posted Feb 7, 2014is there a way to create custom superflat worlds like vanilla launcher allows in singleplayer? without using cleanroomgenerator
im mainly looking for a waterworld.
the only thing i have been able to do is generate one in singleplayer and import it. but it doesnt keep the same generator options and starts to generate it as a normal flatland instead.

Well, my server has all three: Core, Portals, and NetherPortals. The problem is with nether portals not actually being made. There are admin-made portals from World1 to World2. But it should still work where you make a obsidian rectangle in World2, hit it with flint. and for a portal to be made by the game and a portal and structure made in the respective nether at the appropriate position (World2_Nether).
Check it out. It's been a really long time this hasn't worked. Really looking forward to when it does. https://github.com/Multiverse/Multiverse-NetherPortals/issues/68

Oh. Should have been more accurate. Admins can place portal blocks, select the area and code in a portal (/mvp create etc etc). Even admins lighting the portal does not work.
As far as I can tell. It doesn't have anything to do with permissions.

2 nethers, 2 worlds. it can work if you manually set up the portals, but you have to be admin to make each portal... but it's supposed to work if someone in world2 makes a portal and lights it, it should open a portal to world2_nether. Currently, it does nothing, no portal at all.
Issue 68, I believe, on their GitHub for MVNP has over 100 comments in the past year asking for a fix... Was curious if it has been.

Posted Feb 6, 2014@Billeh007 prefixchat: 'false' in config.yml of MV-Core
@TWSSYesterday Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, that doesn't currently work. Building an obsidian portal space and lighting a fire in it does nothing in world2. The world is linked to world2_nether. Any thoughts or anyone actually having it work?

Hello, Yes, sorry, I should have mentioned that. I do have MVNP. Just figured I'd ask on the Core since it is more active board, but I can always ask there, too. Cheers!

Hey there. Thanks for confirming it works. Do you by chance know if Multiverse-Nether is working? The big question is if it creates more than 1 nether portal in a world other than the original world (so, say, World2 to World2_nether) and correctly makes a new portal in the nether. This hasn't worked for over a year now... I am very interested to know.
Thanks!

Posted Feb 5, 2014Hello Multiverse Team, I have been looking for ways or options to disable the /mvtp command for a specific world. I'm creating a specific hub that will teleport people to the specific world in a random location every time. Thank you for your response and amazing plugin!

Posted Feb 4, 2014Hi.. with 1.7.4 the permissions seems to be broken. global spawn override isn't working, /mvtp isn't working (the user have the permission, but it happens just.. nothing when he use that command) and every world is still accessable with a :false permission. Could you please update it for 1.7.4?

I even don't know in which file to find. I would decompile complete jar, import as project into eclipse and search for it.
