What steps will reproduce the problem?
When someone burns a player with flint and steel.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected is the translated death. But sometimes it is not translated.
    Same situation, different output.

What version of the product are you using?
    ML 2.0 CB 1.2.5 R3

    Forgot: This is German translation.

  • _ForgeUser6983636 posted a comment May 30, 2012

So, it translates it but it also sends the original message?

  • _ForgeUser8835736 posted a comment May 30, 2012

No, one time it is translated, an other time it is not translated. There is no scheme. But everytime there is just one text displayed. The screenshot shows 2 deaths in a row.

    @Kaemmelot: Go

Hmm, weird. Is it possible for you to check if the messages might occur in the language of the one who triggers the event?

    Ex:
player1 dies and its language is German and player2 whose language is English receives the message in German.

Could you possibly check if this happens?

  • _ForgeUser8835736 posted a comment May 30, 2012

I would try it, but I still have the problem that we can't change the language (the permission problem just before).

And at the moment we all use the default language on this server: german.

So this might be, but does not apply to my problem, I'm sorry ;-)

I've uploaded a fix for that but it isn't approved yet. Click on the download link in the main page. It should open the page for v2.0.1

Very interesting. We made a test.

2 players (test players) burnt each other. Result: 2 players (one of them was a test player with language Russian) only saw the english version (whereas they choosed a different language). 3 players and the other test player saw both: English and their language (testplayer choosed Italian) I saw only the German translation.

A few seconds later a player joined and the same again: Some saw their language, some saw english + their language and 1 person only english. The behavior every player saw changed between both events.

I hope you understand what I mean and it helps you. Otherwise feel free to ask me for a better explanation ;-)

I'm going off now. I'll see if I can fix this tomorrow.

So this seems to be a bit more complicated, isn't it?

Maybe you did all right and bukkit isn't triggering your events the right way?

If you can't find it, just take this as feature, your plugin works great except this little annoyance ;-)

I've looked into this but I can't seem to find the cause. I'll look again when I have some time. (My exams are coming up)
