MultiInv
What is MultiInv
MultiInv is a plugin that gives players a separate inventory for every different world running on the server. You can share inventories over chosen worlds and some players can be ignored entirely. With this power it is possible to have multiple worlds running on one server, but keeping them totally segregated from one another.
MultiInv can also separate health over certain worlds allowing for total separations of a world on a server.
If MultiInv refuses to work and you can't change inventories, it's because you have the wrong version of the TuxTwoLib or forgot to deny yourself the permission multiinv.exempt!
Update for UUIDs and 1.7.9 (there will be no support for 1.7.8 or below due to game breaking bugs) are here! Download will be available as soon as Bukkit Dev approves it.
MultiInv and MobArena are currently not compatible! Make sure users can only join a mob arena from the same world group!
Starting with MultiInv 3.2.1 we now require the library TuxTwoLib to maintain compatibility across various minecraft versions

Features

Using MultiInv with BungeeCord
Since BungeeCord requires servers to be in offline mode it's sometimes hard to acquire a reliable UUID if Spigot/BungeeCord isn't configured correctly. Here are the settings you will need to change:
In the BungeeCord config.yml make sure ip_forward is set to true
On the server in the spigot.yml make sure bungeecord is set to true
By setting these two options BungeeCord will be able to pass the correct UUID to the servers. Please note that if you are sharing inventories across multiple servers that this feature is still in beta and may not always work.
Commands
- /multiinv reload - Reloads config files.
- /multiinv import - Imports flat files into a mysql database.
- /multiinv mvimport - Imports Multiverse-Inventories into MultiInv, with the database that you have selected. (You will need to have the Multiverse-Inventories plugin installed when doing the import, just make sure to remove it afterwards)
- /multiinv miimport - Imports WorldInventories into MultiInv.
- /multiinv mcimport - Import Minecraft player files into MultiInv. (Only useful when you've got existing player data and you are enabling the SaveInventoryOnQuit option)
- /multiinv mcexport - Exports MultiInv player data for the default world into the default world in Minecraft format.
Permissions
- multiinv.reload - Permission to use the reload command
- multiinv.import - Permission to use the import command
- multiinv.mvimport - Permission to use the mvimport command
- multiinv.mcimport - Permission to use the mcimport command
- multiinv.mcexport - Permission to use the mcexport command
- multiinv.exempt - Exempts player from inventory switch (If your inventory is not changing, deny yourself this permission in your permissions manager!!!!)

Updating from MultiInv 2.x to 3.x
- Delete your old config.yml file in the plugins/MultiInv directory
- Start the server with the new plugin
- Rename the Worlds folder to Groups under the plugins/MultiInv directory.
- Rename shares.yml to groups.yml
- Cut the creativeGroups section out of groups.yml and paste it at the end of config.yml
- Edit the config.yml to your prefrences
- do: /multiinv reload
- If you are moving to the mysql database do: /multiinv import
- You're done, enjoy!

If you're having a problem, try replicating it in the latest version of MultiInv as it could already be fixed! Example: world1 is set to survival mode, but when you go to world2, it changes you to creative mode. Going back in between worlds would change your gamemode, set by the config.

Posted Apr 24, 2012Hi i'm using multinv for a while, but i was force to switch to multiverseinventory, cause he was able to separate iconomy accounts for differents worlds, and i wanted to separate my FactionsPVP world of the others.
The transistion was ok, but now, i'm doing a complete statistics and information page on my website and i've a problem:
Multiverse inv doesn't know about Mysql :(
So i think i'd like to switch back to multiinv, but would you plan to add iconomy account's worlds gestion ?
Doesn't anyone have already try the inventorydb of iconomy? It should solve my problem, but i want to know were i'm going.

Tux2, could you add a clear inventoy function in multiinv ? often, in creative, inventory look like mess, and cleaning it is a pain .. a simple command would be great.

I worked out the problem, it was antishare since removing that plugin I no longer have that issue thanks alot for your time.

Yeah, easy way to get the plugins list is to just do /plugins in the console, then copy/paste the list. I have 60 plugins on my server:

I use groupmanager and its set so all the worlds have a parent and permissions and groups follow in chain from worlds - RLCHD - RLCHD_nether and Guest - Member, ext...
I will do some more testing and update my post in the morning with the full list of plugins

Yes almost 60% of them use MySQL, I just upgraded my server to 4GB of ram and 40 slots, 10 - 30 players and there is no block lag or chat lag so far, the only lag we do get is routine server backups every 12 hours, and large world edits 500,000+ blocks.

Posted Apr 18, 2012Major problems, separate inventories are bugged, a player mines for 2 hours makes a diamond pick builds a house logs out from the server and back in and there inventories are reset back by 2-3 days.
I spawn myself an item e.g. diamond block and tried saving the server /save-all and exiting the server and going back in, still the same problem, resets my inventorie back 2-3 days
I followed the instructions in detail the plugin works great for what its intended to do BUT, its deleting everything that is new and defaulting back to old when a player leaves the server and joins back again
I'm using MySQL

No errors on startup, separated inventories work from survival and creative worlds running anti share to prevent breaking of bedrock and other features it supports for creative
I don't see how this is happening but its caused allot of grief for my server, do you think essentials protect could be causing conflict?

Changing GM on a world don't switch the Inv and TPing to another world wont switch it either.
I get no errors in console, says it is loaded but it seems that it isn't doing anything at all
EDIT: YEA YEA IM STUPID :)
If anyone is half as stupid as me look under the permissions for the plugin! you need to remove the exempt permissions for the players (-multiinv.exempt)

Yes, you can do that with this plugin. That's what we're doing on our server, we have the 3 "normal" world types; Skylands, Nether, Adventure, and then a creative world. The 3 "normal" world types all share one inventory and the creative world gets another.
