MoxieSkills is a skills plugin like none you've ever seen before. Having had three previous recodes, the current version is as fast and efficient as you will ever see. Train yourself in a range of fifteen unique skills to beat your friends. With hiscores, good interfacing and challenging levelling, you'll never be bored.

What Does MoxieSkills Do?

Competitive levelling formula
Vast range of skills
Skill leaderboards
Skill and XP dynamics similar to that seen of online MMOs
Multipliers for individual players and their skills
MySQL Database support
Each skills is highly configurable - each has it's own file!

This plugin uses an email API to automatically report errors. I do not receive passwords (this would break Bukkit rules). If you want to keep your email anonymous, use Yahoo! email, otherwise use GMail (only Yahoo! and GMail are supported). There is also an option to send your server IP to improve communications. This plugin also uses an auto-updater and MCStats.

When you add anything, you need to make sure when you press enter you delete the tab it puts in by default and make it exactly 4 spaces.

You can use an online YML checker to show any errors. Whats happening is when it hits that tab you made it locks the YML file up and won't read it complete.

Simple fix. :D

There is no construction skill? And the shift clicking thing is a known issue, that is why there is a config option for warning messages. :P

I took your advice with adding the IDs instead of the name, and that didn't work either. I'll tell you what I did.

I re-downloaded the plugin, and added one new item to the XPValues under the construction skill. After I reloaded the server everything was still working that was there before I made the changes, but the items that I added didn't work. The item that I added was, Glass (ID of 20).

I also tested this with stone and I had the same result. I hope this will be fixed soon! :D

The last bug that I've found was upon taking ingots out of a furnace you don't get experience if you shift click them out, and if you just single click the ingots out one at a time you get exp that way. However, a couple of times when I took more than one ingot out of the furnace at a time it deleted the ingots. xD

It probably is, instead of typing the name, try typing the ID instead :) Bukkit has some names that don't match with what we'd normally say

I think I found another issue, this one is fairly big. Whenever I add something new to the XPValues it screws up Moxie and you no longer get rewarded for doing any tasks.

I hope this is just something that I'm doing wrong!

I must say this is a GREAT idea and GREAT plugin!! I hope that you finish this plugin so its 100% working :D So far I think this plugin has a great future ahead of it!

I don't know why this plugin isn't more popular!!

Also I found a few issues with the plugin. So far my players and I have noticed that Strength, Defense, and Attack aren't working properly? Is this just my server or is it a plugin issue?

Also you need to consider adding the skill of Farming to the plugin or Herbalism? or Both!? :D

Hey, yep, its an issue i've noted - I'm working on it along with the 2nd third of MoxieNPC, both of which have roots with the admin commands, best to use v2.1.2 until I update again :)

Should never use reload, it's super bad for your server, and could be the issue why it is reverting. I would suggest trying to completely /stop your server, change it, then boot it back up, I am able to set it to false with 2.1.2, haven't got 2.2 yet.

Try to disable the 'EarnXPFromOtherSkills' or whatever in the config, it's like the 6th line or so. It's a new feature that I'm not sure is working right yet, and that might be the issue for you both.

Same thing happens to me, I cannot find the issue. I tried with no plugins except vault and MoxieSkills. Still not working. Attack, Strenght and defence stays at 1.9 xp, 8.1 left and cannot get lvl 2. Idk about archery because i didn't tried it. Other skills are working. I didn't edit anything in this plugin.

The experience gain for Attack seems to be broken? It doesn't work for me. I kill mobs, it tells me that I'm getting exp in chat, but never level up, and when I check my stats it's just stuck at "Attack: 1 (1.9)". It's the exact same with Strength, Defence and Archery.

Hi, everything that is currently in the plugin either uses some combination of potions, or a Bukkit supported function, so NoCheatPlus doesn't trip with it. If I ever do add anything that needs it, you can expect I'll add it :)
