Movecraft
NOW MOVED TO SPIGOTMC, CHECK HERE FOR NEWER VERSIONS:
https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/movecraft.31321/

A Brief Description
Movecraft is a plugin that has been designed to give purpose to those extremely large (and awesome) oceans as well as to simply give the option to Sail, Drive, or Pilot amazing Ships, Creations, or Zeppelins. It allows the player and/or players to craft Vessels out of blocks that can be piloted and thus moved. Hence the name MoveCraft.
Credit
Movecraft was first created by Yogoda for hMod.
Movecraft 3 is a complete recode. It's only similarity to the Movecraft of Yogada is it's name.
Documentation, Tutorials, Quick Start Guide, and Demo Videos

Permissions
Movecraft uses the following permissions:
movecraft.<craft name>.pilot
movecraft.<craft name>.move
movecraft.<craft name>.rotate
movecraft.<craft name>.repair
For example, if you have a craft named "Airship", you would need movecraft.Airship.pilot, movecraft.Airship.move, and movecraft.Airship.rotate in order to completely use it.
There is also:
movecraft.<craft name>.create - only required if RequireCreatePerm is set to true in config.yml
movecraft.cruisesign - only required if RequireCreatePerm is set to true in config.yml
movecraft.commands - grants access to /pilot, /cruise, /release, /rotateleft, /rotateright, /craftreport
You can also control these granularly with:
movecraft.commands.release
movecraft.commands.pilot
movecraft.commands.rotateleft
movecraft.commands.rotateright
movecraft.commands.cruise
movecraft.commands.craftreport
Dependencies
Movecraft does not require any other plugin to function, however certain features require additional plugins:
WorldEdit (>6.0) - For repair system
Vault - For payment system
In addition, the following plugins are supported for compatibility:
Cannons - Cannons will move with a piloted craft
WorldGuard - Region protection
Most common permission plugins - Assign permissions to various craft features

One possibility is that they have the movecraft.airship.pilot permission, but not the movecraft.airship.move. If you are using permissionsEx, you can just send me your permissions file in a PM and I'll take a look at it.
I had a lot of users who had issues with permissionsEx recently, and some I never heard back from, and others said they reinstalled permissionsEx and it fixed it. I wonder if permissionsEx had a bad release or something.

Posted Jun 26, 2014Haaai there.
Been trying to figure this out for an hour now and i could really kill someone xD
I cant seem to get permissions working for regular users.
I added all the airship nodes, and they can now right click it and it says "Sucessfully piloted ship" but when they right click to move, they get "insufficient permissions"
Any chance you could help?
Thanks, Killertudse :-)

Posted Jun 26, 2014I posted a tutorial for the new "Subcraft Rotate" signs, showing you how to make a simple city gates system, plus TNT cannon turrets. You can see the video here:

Note that this only works with the newest build referenced in my previous post.

Yes, I'm afraid the build on this site is quite out of date due to circumstances beyond my control. This page, however, will always be up to date:
http://www.planetminecraft.com/mod/movecraft-reloaded---loraxe42s-fork/
The build on there works fine for 1.7.9. Please note that is only my fork of this project, not the main Movecraft project which is managed by AJCStriker.
@Spatan0123
I'll add it to my list

No, worldguard is capable of blocking the types of explosions Movecraft creates. It's somewhere under "other explosions" or something like that. Unfortunately, there is still the issue of them leaving their blocks strewn across the landscape.
Worldguard and Towny support is planned for the next version.
...assuming the current dev version ever gets merged with the release code >.>

Posted Jun 25, 2014@Loraxe42 do you also have any suggestions for planes flying in world guard areas? I am fine with them flying in the area however I am worried about them crashing into a building... will the plane be able to damage a WG region?
Also will this work for 1.7.9? or only 1.7.4

It's easy if you have towny or worldguard for area protection. Simply park your airship in a protected area, and put a block that has been set as "forbidden" in the .craft file on the airship. Now it can not be piloted without removing the block, and only you can remove the block. It is also protected just like any structure from explosives, fire, or mining.
For protection in the wild, you can use a plugin called BlockOwn. Basically you can set that plugin to protect any of a specific kind of block so that only the person who placed it can remove it. As above, you put down the forbidden block to lock the ship, and only you can remove it. I use this fine on my small server, but I have heard of crashes with this plugin on large servers. So it may be best to stick to the first suggestion for large servers.
@Dragon_12dk
The best way to do this I can think of would be to use WorldGuard with the Sign Flags addon. This allows you to, for example, prevent anyone other than specific users from placing a sign that says "Gunboat" on it. Yet other signs would be ok. It could also be limited by world or region.

Posted Jun 24, 2014amazing plugin! just one question though, how can i protect my airships from griefers? like, lets say i take my ship to somewhere else, and i park it. Some one could just come around and grief it? if so, which plugin do you recommend for movable objects? O.o I'm confused, but please help me out.

Posted Jun 24, 2014Also one other thing, is there a way for me to make it so my players are unable to build a ship in the wild? so that the only way to get a ship would be to buy one?

Sure, in fact I made a package that includes that called the Temple of Remembrance. You can check it out and download it here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J69xopyc64w
The part where it shows the purchasing system is at the end. The beginning shows a cool little PVE/CoOp event called Airships vs Zombies.
Download that and take it apart to see how the purchasing system works, then adapt it for your needs.

Posted Jun 23, 2014Hello Movecraft!!! this plugin Is by far the best plugin for ships, planes, subs, you name it! and it works great on my server! however I was wondering... is there any possible way I could make Preset planes and ships and have an area where you select and buy them? rather than the players making there planes they would be buying ones already set by an admin... I know the server called navalbattlezone does this, however that is a custom version of movecraft...

Not currently. Although, that is on the list for future features.
