Movecraft
NOW MOVED TO SPIGOTMC, CHECK HERE FOR NEWER VERSIONS:
https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/movecraft.31321/

A Brief Description
Movecraft is a plugin that has been designed to give purpose to those extremely large (and awesome) oceans as well as to simply give the option to Sail, Drive, or Pilot amazing Ships, Creations, or Zeppelins. It allows the player and/or players to craft Vessels out of blocks that can be piloted and thus moved. Hence the name MoveCraft.
Credit
Movecraft was first created by Yogoda for hMod.
Movecraft 3 is a complete recode. It's only similarity to the Movecraft of Yogada is it's name.

Permissions
Movecraft uses the following permissions:
movecraft.<craft name>.pilot
movecraft.<craft name>.move
movecraft.<craft name>.rotate
movecraft.<craft name>.repair
For example, if you have a craft named "Airship", you would need movecraft.Airship.pilot, movecraft.Airship.move, and movecraft.Airship.rotate in order to completely use it.
There is also:
movecraft.<craft name>.create - only required if RequireCreatePerm is set to true in config.yml
movecraft.cruisesign - only required if RequireCreatePerm is set to true in config.yml
movecraft.commands - grants access to /pilot, /cruise, /release, /rotateleft, /rotateright, /craftreport
You can also control these granularly with:
movecraft.commands.release
movecraft.commands.pilot
movecraft.commands.rotateleft
movecraft.commands.rotateright
movecraft.commands.cruise
movecraft.commands.craftreport
Dependencies
Movecraft does not require any other plugin to function, however certain features require additional plugins:
WorldEdit (>6.0) - For repair system
Vault - For payment system
In addition, the following plugins are supported for compatibility:
Cannons - Cannons will move with a piloted craft
WorldGuard - Region protection
Most common permission plugins - Assign permissions to various craft features

Ahhh. What do you mean that WorldEdit and MoveableChests? (Worldedit means you just set to chests I assume?)
Hope you find this issue out soon. :X

Chests are buggy as hell. We have found WorldEdit and MovableChests do not suffer our issues, and I hope to learn why.
The reason you get a NPE is we forcefully disabled, i.e commented out, the chest code.

Posted Jun 10, 2012How goes fixing chests? :O
Also, what does this mean? [INFO] blocks(22 is null!
Edit: Interestingly, enabling chests on ships only causes NPEs for me, no crashing. Server or client. What's up with that?

That's a good idea. Someone tried to do it with signs for the controls of the whole ship, including auto-flight, but they never got past beta phase. me and everyone else waiting for it to update have given up hope. the ships never moved very fast either. WAY slower than even a speed of "1" in movecraft. the plugin is called "Ships" by Qx2. maybe that could be incorportaed as an add-on to movecraft?

It definitely doesn't in the new version (pre-release almost ready), and I don't think it happens in the current available download.

Posted Jun 8, 2012Would it be possible to combine this with Autorun Commands to turn your ship at the press of a button or the throw of a lever?

Like I said, it was a VERY old bug/thing/idk. We used this plugin last july. When you'd crash two ships together, or into a structure made of blocks that are ship material, it would fuse both objects into one and make a mess... Does this still occur?

Dud remnants of old features. Might make a comeback soon but at the moment its just a dead end command.

Posted Jun 8, 2012what does the command /ship setname actually do? as far as I can tell, it doesn't do anything. it just says the name has been set. if you pilot a ship with /ship sail <shipname> anything can be put in the <shipname> area and it uses that... I'm confused. it'd be great if you set a name for a ship and it was remembered, so maybe if you sailed a ship, set its name, got off, came back later, and sailed it again, it would say "welcome on the <shipnamehere>" rather than "welcome on the ship".

Thanks for the quick reply. Looking forward to release.
Not holding my breath for the chests, was just curious.
ALSO. Do ships still bug the hell out like they did almost a year ago if you crash them into ship-material blocks..? I hated that.

ETA on release: I will probably release a preview of the API and MovecraftCore at the end of this week. After that it is just a case of how things go.
About chests: So this is a weird one. We know why the clients crash, we know a plugin where chests work and we are trying hell and high fury to fix this. I did read someone saying movecraft cannot move chests at the moment. That is untrue, it can however it promotes client crashes in the TileEntityRender class.
In English, the answer is we think there's a fix, and we hope well get to it, but please don't hold your breath. If your server is willing to be spoutcraft only, chests would work perfectly.

Yes there is a command and I'm pretty sure it movecraft list and it say the size of all currently piloted crafts.
