Movecraft
NOW MOVED TO SPIGOTMC, CHECK HERE FOR NEWER VERSIONS:
https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/movecraft.31321/

A Brief Description
Movecraft is a plugin that has been designed to give purpose to those extremely large (and awesome) oceans as well as to simply give the option to Sail, Drive, or Pilot amazing Ships, Creations, or Zeppelins. It allows the player and/or players to craft Vessels out of blocks that can be piloted and thus moved. Hence the name MoveCraft.
Credit
Movecraft was first created by Yogoda for hMod.
Movecraft 3 is a complete recode. It's only similarity to the Movecraft of Yogada is it's name.
Documentation, Tutorials, Quick Start Guide, and Demo Videos
For documentation and information, use this link:

Also the builds on that site are more up to date than the builds on this site, so download the latest version there. Please be aware the builds on that site have not been checked by the dev.bukkit.org staff, so use at your own risk.
Here is a brief summary of Movecraft features covered on that site:
Control Method Options
- Sign and Pilot Tool
- Sign only
- Direct Control (the players movements control the craft)
- Misc Commands - /manoverboard, /release, etc
- Remote Signs to remotely activate command signs from other parts of the ship (Turn turrets, launch torpedoes, etc)
Craft Options
- Basic craft configuration options including size, speed, allowed block types, required blocks, etc
- Customizable Cruise Control to keep the craft moving forward
- Customizable Fuel Burning behavior
- Customizable sinking/crashing behavior including smoke, explosion on impact, and uncontrollable dives
- Restricting motion to horizontal or vertical planes
- Customizable "Hover" land contour following behavior for cars and surface vehicles
- Optional craft teleportation
- Require water contact for sailing ships and water craft
- Crafts that explode when they collide with things for ramming or torpedoes
- Repair signs to repair your ship, requires mats, and can require a fee
Server Options
- Customizable Pilot Tool for craft control (or you can disable it to force sign only movement)
- Man Overboard timeout to allow anyone who falls out of a craft to get back in it
- Configurable WorldGuard protection against moving into forbidden areas or sinking over protected areas
Permissions
Movecraft uses the following permissions:
movecraft.<craft name>.pilot
movecraft.<craft name>.move
movecraft.<craft name>.rotate
movecraft.<craft name>.repair
For example, if you have a craft named "Airship", you would need movecraft.Airship.pilot, movecraft.Airship.move, and movecraft.Airship.rotate in order to completely use it.
There is also:
movecraft.<craft name>.create - only required if RequireCreatePerm is set to true in config.yml
movecraft.cruisesign - only required if RequireCreatePerm is set to true in config.yml
movecraft.commands - grants access to /pilot, /cruise, /release, /rotateleft, /rotateright, /craftreport
You can also control these granularly with:
movecraft.commands.release
movecraft.commands.pilot
movecraft.commands.rotateleft
movecraft.commands.rotateright
movecraft.commands.cruise
movecraft.commands.craftreport
Dependencies
Movecraft does not require any other plugin to function, however certain features require additional plugins:
WorldEdit (>6.0) - For repair system
Vault - For payment system
In addition, the following plugins are supported for compatibility:
Cannons - Cannons will move with a piloted craft
WorldGuard - Region protection
Most common permission plugins - Assign permissions to various craft features

Posted Mar 29, 2013I wish you hadn't tried to compile it. Source compilation plays tricks with the version numbers and will dilute the Eco system. It will be available on binary format later today when I'm happy with the final touches, read MadRealms setup works.
There are no game breaking bugs, and the binary should be available later alongside a video on installation and setup. I will make a post on twitter, @MovecraftDev and here when the plugin is ready for release.

Posted Mar 29, 2013@AlphaHarrius As I wrote, I don't know anything about furnaces like an engine in this version. We must wait what AJCStriker will say. Imho: I think it will be there, as it was in Movecraft1 too and I don't see any reason why remove this future.
@Vyn_Dragon I tried compile it yesterday even, compilation was ok, but I got some error during plugin enabling. I haven't time to look what error it was because I had only few hours for sleep. Maybe you will have more luck today. Yes, in github it's only source code, U must compile it. And yes it's under 1.5.1 snapshot. Official release should be today, but it depends only on AJCStriker and his free time.

As I know, until it will be oficially released, you can download only sourcode on GitHub yet.
I think that AJCStriker wrote somewhere, that ship sinking will be possible in future versions because at this moment It doesn't support water borne ships. I know that isn't problem of aricrafts, but there is a relation ... so let's be patient.
Did you mean furnace or surface engine? I hope that something of this, because I don't remember any type of craft with hairs in face (or my translation is wrong :)) About surface ... I think that will be still possible, because airships needs land somewhere too, I think that there will be just flying disabled in CraftType config probably. About furnaces I don't know anything ... Alex must respond to this.
P.S: Try edit your previous comment next time before adding new.
P.P.S: Damned, what this f*cking "furface" word mens? ... it's often used but not-native englishman is in ... cause all dictionaries are silent :)

Posted Mar 28, 2013Finalised feature list: - Polygonal on board checks - Working rotation, which also rotates all blocks and players - .craft file format, primitive but functional, including the possibility of multiple fly blocks and their respective percentage, allowing for exact configuration of build requirements. - permission system, movecraft.crafttype. pilot move and rotate - Storage crate that works in flight and is persistent through restarts - Pilot crafts via sign and rotate them using signs - Asynchronous processing - Built in localisation support that allows for customisation of messages, with prepare language files available for a wide range of languages, including German, French, Dutch and Swedish!
There are still some glitches regarding red stone circuitry in the air, as well as torches which may lead to client side duplication glitches of said items. A fix is in the works but not currently available and the plugin will ship with the bug.

Posted Mar 28, 2013The release is now packaged. Unfortunately there is a bug regarding red stone pieces and torches. A hotfix will be released at some point in the near future. While the bug will be inside the release, it is not game breaking, so don't panic too much.

Sign Control is already in for rotation and detection. Initial release will not contain sign control for horizontal movement.
Dispensers and furnaces carry their inventories correctly, buttons remain on walls however chests do not work.
Chests have been replaced by Storage Crates, which work identically and have a new crafting recipie. They can be seen in this video :http://www.livestream.com/movecraftdev/video?clipId=pla_e0e7b27b-ddd1-4d81-9bec-e9877260e0e8
