A Brief Description
Movecraft is a plugin that has been designed to give purpose to those extremely large (and awesome) oceans as well as to simply give the option to Sail, Drive, or Pilot amazing Ships, Creations, or Zeppelins. It allows the player and/or players to craft Vessels out of blocks that can be piloted and thus moved. Hence the name MoveCraft.

Movecraft 3 is a complete recode. It's only similarity to the Movecraft of Yogada is it's name.

Also the builds on that site are more up to date than the builds on this site, so download the latest version there. Please be aware the builds on that site have not been checked by the dev.bukkit.org staff, so use at your own risk.
Here is a brief summary of Movecraft features covered on that site:
Control Method Options
- Sign and Pilot Tool
- Sign only
- Direct Control (the players movements control the craft)
- Misc Commands - /manoverboard, /release, etc
- Remote Signs to remotely activate command signs from other parts of the ship (Turn turrets, launch torpedoes, etc)
Craft Options
- Basic craft configuration options including size, speed, allowed block types, required blocks, etc
- Customizable Cruise Control to keep the craft moving forward
- Customizable Fuel Burning behavior
- Customizable sinking/crashing behavior including smoke, explosion on impact, and uncontrollable dives
- Restricting motion to horizontal or vertical planes
- Customizable "Hover" land contour following behavior for cars and surface vehicles
- Optional craft teleportation
- Require water contact for sailing ships and water craft
- Crafts that explode when they collide with things for ramming or torpedoes
- Repair signs to repair your ship, requires mats, and can require a fee
Server Options
- Customizable Pilot Tool for craft control (or you can disable it to force sign only movement)
- Man Overboard timeout to allow anyone who falls out of a craft to get back in it
- Configurable WorldGuard protection against moving into forbidden areas or sinking over protected areas
Permissions
Movecraft uses the following permissions:
movecraft.<craft name>.pilot
movecraft.<craft name>.move
movecraft.<craft name>.rotate
movecraft.<craft name>.repair
For example, if you have a craft named "Airship", you would need movecraft.Airship.pilot, movecraft.Airship.move, and movecraft.Airship.rotate in order to completely use it.
There is also:
movecraft.<craft name>.create - only required if RequireCreatePerm is set to true in config.yml
movecraft.cruisesign - only required if RequireCreatePerm is set to true in config.yml
movecraft.commands - grants access to /pilot, /cruise, /release, /rotateleft, /rotateright, /craftreport
You can also control these granularly with:
movecraft.commands.release
movecraft.commands.pilot
movecraft.commands.rotateleft
movecraft.commands.rotateright
movecraft.commands.cruise
movecraft.commands.craftreport
Dependencies
Movecraft does not require any other plugin to function, however certain features require additional plugins:
WorldEdit (>6.0) - For repair system
Vault - For payment system
In addition, the following plugins are supported for compatibility:
Cannons - Cannons will move with a piloted craft
WorldGuard - Region protection
Most common permission plugins - Assign permissions to various craft features

Statistics <> This plugin utilizes Hidendra's plugin metrics system, which means that the following information is collected and sent to mcstats.org:
A unique identifier
The server's version of Java
Whether the server is in offline or online mode
The plugin's version
The server's version
The OS version/name and architecture
The core count for the CPU
The number of players online
The Metrics version
Opting out of this service can be done by editing plugins/Plugin Metrics/config.yml and changing opt-out to true. <>

Source Code
Source Code is hosted on GitHub and commits are built by Jenkins CI. The Jenkins is not currently publicly accessible.
Builds are regularly posted to BukkitDev from our CI System.
Localisation
Localisation is fully integrated into Movecraft 3. Locale can be set inside the config.yml.
Due to a bug in GetLocalisations software, language packs are not currently available for download. We apologise for the delay and are working to get them uploaded to BukkitDev ASAP.

Posted Feb 2, 2013movecraft does work with the current verzion of bukkit on my server autocraft did not i have been using movecraft for a while and used to use autocraft which only has planes.... this plugin even though it is slipping out of date works. please update.

Posted Jan 26, 2013Kinda shocked at how this is going. I've used Movecraft for the past two years since I started my server in March 2011 and with each Minecraft update it becomes less functional. Is there any way to get the updated version? My space station no longer has ships flying in and out of it because ships don't work in the new height limit. Doesn't she look sad?

Posted Jan 26, 2013I have now agreed to distribute movecraft to three other servers. Until I can work out a good solution to reselling thats the way its going to stay. Contact me and you shalt receive, assuming I can see the server and trust you, etc etc.
In response to Seoxiwleto, again I wish you luck enjoying your better plugin with your better developer. I fail to see why you believe you occupy a moral high ground when I'm offering you my time for no reward.
To anyone else who wishes to enjoy a Zionistic new Movecraft , feel free. I will make no move against you, but I will remain here, and continue to put my time and effort into developing something for nothing.

That's what I'm saying, and make no doubt about it; you have every right to your own private code, but what I disagree with is going back and forth on what you do and don't intend to do when neither of the things being said are your real intentions. If it is as you say and you won't be updating anymore, pass this page on to others that will. Insisting that you need to keep it "while you develop it" even though you aren't developing it publicly does indeed hamper the progress of people who would see it improved.
In the end, your attitude is the most telling. "The code that Syco left behind is really pretty useless" "Frankly you can't fix it" etc etc really doesn't support the notion that you're a victim in your claims of monetization.
That is precisely why I asked if others wanted to begin work on the project and promote a better community and a better movecraft. If anyone is interested, please PM me.

Feel free. Movecraft is a name, I haven't touched Sycoprime's code since this time last year. The chest bug is one that has fundamental problems with it, that can only be solved through increased tests, such as when moving a chest are you moving it next to another chest.
You can say I'm motivated by whatever you wish, and frankly I care little. I have never blocked you from starting your own project, and the messages in which you claim I double back on my story are completely linear. I did not fix it in that version, because that version really isn't worth working with. The code that Syco left behind is really pretty useless, but you can continue whichever legacy you like.

Movecraft is my favourite plugin and I've been coming to this page almost every day for the last year hoping for some progress, I just hate that there seems to be nothing the rest of us can do.

With the multitudes of servers out there you need the edge to set yourself apart and if he has the knowledge to do it then I say more power to him. Would be nice to know if this is the case so we don't waste time waiting for something that won't be coming.

Posted Jan 25, 2013Seconded wholeheartedly, I can see where you're coming from if people are doing things like this, I just wish something could be done to avoid penalizing the vast majority that are just innocent people using one hell of an amazing plugin.
EDIT: I don't think it's any use. I messaged AJC and politely asked him to at least give me a lead on what the problem was with chests - said I'd fix it myself and that he didn't have to do any work, just tell me if they ever figured out what the problem actually was. He said that "it had been nearly a year and he'd forgotten." When I asked if he could give me ANYTHING to help, he changed his answer and said something like "I know but I'm not telling you, and frankly you'll never fix it without creating massive lag spikes. It's an error of design."
If his reasoning is that others are monetizing the plugin, I respect and support him wholly. But when someone asks how to fix it ON THEIR OWN,. SEPARATELY and you lie to them and then give them a rude response about how "they'll never solve it. NEVERRRR!!!!" instead of just saying "Look, I don't want to tell you because X" and politely explaining, I see what the real problem is. I'm not inclined to believe that it was really "arseholes who monetized." I see no reason why he'd develop that tone over someone asking -to develop it themself-. It's clear what happened; he wants to preserve it for madrealms.
Given that we now know, let's stop asking him - he won't throw us the smallest bone. Let's see if we can't get a new team together; that's the only thing that will prevent movecraft from being monopolized by people who have no right to invalidate the work of Yog and Syco just because they want a better server.
I would personally love to work with others on this project, though I frankly do not yet feel very skilled. I'm pretty comfortable with Java but have little practical experience.
And no, I don't mean this to start problems. I mean this to give a great plugin that's been worked on for some time now a fighting chance, because you haven't, AJC.

Posted Jan 25, 2013It's a pity to not see MoveCraft 2. The server I am currently working on (creating the whole map in world painter) is in desperate need of either this plugin or physicscraft/SnB's mod. Both have reasons as to no release. These features are too awesome to not release. Not sure if there is anyway to release to individuals with a way to certify how they are being used or not. Looking forward to hopefully seeing this happen.
