Movecraft
NOW MOVED TO SPIGOTMC, CHECK HERE FOR NEWER VERSIONS:
https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/movecraft.31321/

A Brief Description
Movecraft is a plugin that has been designed to give purpose to those extremely large (and awesome) oceans as well as to simply give the option to Sail, Drive, or Pilot amazing Ships, Creations, or Zeppelins. It allows the player and/or players to craft Vessels out of blocks that can be piloted and thus moved. Hence the name MoveCraft.
Credit
Movecraft was first created by Yogoda for hMod.
Movecraft 3 is a complete recode. It's only similarity to the Movecraft of Yogada is it's name.
Documentation, Tutorials, Quick Start Guide, and Demo Videos

Here is a brief summary of Movecraft features covered on that site:

- Misc Commands - /manoverboard, /release, etc
- Remote Signs to remotely activate command signs from other parts of the ship (Turn turrets, launch torpedoes, etc)
Craft Options
- Basic craft configuration options including size, speed, allowed block types, required blocks, etc
- Customizable Cruise Control to keep the craft moving forward
- Customizable Fuel Burning behavior
- Customizable sinking/crashing behavior including smoke, explosion on impact, and uncontrollable dives
- Restricting motion to horizontal or vertical planes
- Customizable "Hover" land contour following behavior for cars and surface vehicles
- Optional craft teleportation

- Man Overboard timeout to allow anyone who falls out of a craft to get back in it
- Configurable WorldGuard protection against moving into forbidden areas or sinking over protected areas
Permissions
Movecraft uses the following permissions:
movecraft.<craft name>.pilot
movecraft.<craft name>.move
movecraft.<craft name>.rotate
movecraft.<craft name>.repair
For example, if you have a craft named "Airship", you would need movecraft.Airship.pilot, movecraft.Airship.move, and movecraft.Airship.rotate in order to completely use it.
There is also:
movecraft.<craft name>.create - only required if RequireCreatePerm is set to true in config.yml
movecraft.cruisesign - only required if RequireCreatePerm is set to true in config.yml
movecraft.commands - grants access to /pilot, /cruise, /release, /rotateleft, /rotateright, /craftreport
You can also control these granularly with:
movecraft.commands.release
movecraft.commands.pilot
movecraft.commands.rotateleft
movecraft.commands.rotateright
movecraft.commands.cruise
movecraft.commands.craftreport
Dependencies
Movecraft does not require any other plugin to function, however certain features require additional plugins:
WorldEdit (>6.0) - For repair system
Vault - For payment system
In addition, the following plugins are supported for compatibility:
Cannons - Cannons will move with a piloted craft
WorldGuard - Region protection
Most common permission plugins - Assign permissions to various craft features

The most recent version will work fine on 1.7.9. I would always recommend using the most recent version of the plugin regardless of what version of server you run.
@Guthixlord1
I actually already answered this, yes airskiffs work fine in 1.7.9, but you need a furnace with coal/charcoal in it. Just put Airskiff on the sign. Remove any blocks adjacent to the one indicated that might be causing a collision. IE: anything that isn't part of the airship.

so then this will hopefully be the last thing. could u provide me with a link with the type files for 1.7.9 and regarding the other statement would i just try to remove the blocks around it perminently or give it a block update

While I do want to do a scripting system eventually, it will take some time before I can begin working on it. Sadly other matters are becoming more pressing.

Posted Jan 19, 2015Idea: Have a "cruiseto:" sign.
I.e. "Cruiseto: 600,-134,-2700"
Would cause the ship to cruise to the indicated coordinates unless it ran out of fuel or was blocked.
And "Cruisebetween" with a coordinate and the 2nd and 3rd line. This would allow unpiloted/automated ships/floating bridges/platforms to move back and forth between two coordinates.

I believe it is showing you the block that got obstructed, not the block it was obstructed by. So look at the blocks adjacent to that block.
Yes, airskiffs will work fine in 1.7.9. Although if you got the craft file somewhat recently, airskiffs require a furnace and fuel now. I changed that because otherwise airskiffs were better than airships in every way.

Oh, yeah, easy. Use the overallsinkpercent setting. Set it to 75% or so, and if only 75% of the original blocks remain, it will sink. It doesn't matter how they are destroyed, be it TNT, cannon plugin, or fire. Play with the numbers until you get something you like.
@Krihelion1
Thats bizarre. It is crashing while trying to interpret the trynudge: false line. Whats wierd it is looks ok to me. If you aren't getting any YAML errors, I would suggest simply copying the line below it and changing the allowverticalmovement to tryNudge.

Posted Jan 17, 20155k blocks i'll keep testing maybe my memory is just exagerating. Also would there be any way to make ships sink ether then by things that happen because of the plugin? I have a 17th century server so theres no airships only boats. But bassically I dont use the torpedos or the turrets, I use a plugin http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/cannons/ as the weapons for my ships, as its better fits the time period. What I am getting at is that no matter how much I damage them with the cannons plugin they don't sink. But I can get them to sink by say ramming into other ships, or by hitting something in the water. Is there any way you could possibly make cannons work with it? It would probably be a lot of work... Or if theres some other simple solution to make cannons sink other boats I would greatly appreciate it.

Well, you will need to unzip some of the .craft files from the types download into your types directory. But that's not the problem with the helm sign, that helm sign almost always works. Make sure you are typing exactly:
[helm]
With the brackets included. Then right click it with an empty hand.
@AzaghalTheDestroyer
How large are we talking? There probably isn't much you can do, although it shouldn't be using too much memory unless we are talking >20k blocks. I use 2GB on my server and I can move those, or several smaller ones.

Sounds like a problem with the .craft file, making it think it should be lower than it is. Could you send me a PM with it?
@Firefox3231
Yeah, airskiffs need fuel these fays, because otherwise they are better than airships in every way. I'll have to update the tutorial. For now just take out one of the redstone blocks and replace it with a furnace and put some coal blocks in it.

hey there, don't think so - sailing ship so no fuel specified or needed.
I did get an error last night on a mighty ship about 10K blocks say ship too large or out of bounds (sorry for vague feedback as only came up as I was leaving server)

Posted Jan 13, 2015I am loving this plugin. Is there a feature that allows you to remove certain vehicles? or how high the vehicle can fly? I really appreciate this plugin! Also how long do you think you can continue working on it?
