Movecraft
NOW MOVED TO SPIGOTMC, CHECK HERE FOR NEWER VERSIONS:
https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/movecraft.31321/

A Brief Description
Movecraft is a plugin that has been designed to give purpose to those extremely large (and awesome) oceans as well as to simply give the option to Sail, Drive, or Pilot amazing Ships, Creations, or Zeppelins. It allows the player and/or players to craft Vessels out of blocks that can be piloted and thus moved. Hence the name MoveCraft.
Credit
Movecraft was first created by Yogoda for hMod.
Movecraft 3 is a complete recode. It's only similarity to the Movecraft of Yogada is it's name.

Permissions
Movecraft uses the following permissions:
movecraft.<craft name>.pilot
movecraft.<craft name>.move
movecraft.<craft name>.rotate
movecraft.<craft name>.repair
For example, if you have a craft named "Airship", you would need movecraft.Airship.pilot, movecraft.Airship.move, and movecraft.Airship.rotate in order to completely use it.
There is also:
movecraft.<craft name>.create - only required if RequireCreatePerm is set to true in config.yml
movecraft.cruisesign - only required if RequireCreatePerm is set to true in config.yml
movecraft.commands - grants access to /pilot, /cruise, /release, /rotateleft, /rotateright, /craftreport
You can also control these granularly with:
movecraft.commands.release
movecraft.commands.pilot
movecraft.commands.rotateleft
movecraft.commands.rotateright
movecraft.commands.cruise
movecraft.commands.craftreport
Dependencies
Movecraft does not require any other plugin to function, however certain features require additional plugins:
WorldEdit (>6.0) - For repair system
Vault - For payment system
In addition, the following plugins are supported for compatibility:
Cannons - Cannons will move with a piloted craft
WorldGuard - Region protection
Most common permission plugins - Assign permissions to various craft features

Scroll up to Section 1 of Installation guide above. Right click on aircraft.craft and select "save target as". It just worked for me, so it isn't broken.

The same matrix transformation handles the player and the block so I have probably missed a minus sign somewhere.
I am a little annoyed to hear about dispensers, they have custom rotation logic implemented so I will have to review it and see what happens.
I am aiming for a release on Sunday, winds permitting, with a couple things people have been asking for.
I am also keen to reward donors, so if you have at any stage donated to the project send me a PM with any featu requests you might have and I'll get back to you about it. And if you haven't donated yet, feel free to buy me a bear, it's all for the cause :P

Posted Jun 17, 2013hey!
Thank you very much for your decision to continue movecraft development for the public again!
Any news on (re-)integrating waterborne ships? Airships are cool and everthing, but I am not going for a steampunk world, more medieval style with vast oceans...
I would be very grateful if you could make that happen!
cheers!
PS: great work on the crates, very creative solution! and they look awsome!

Sorry, I thought this was a known bug. After looking at it more closely, there are 2 things going on.
First, the player is not being rotated correctly when the ship rotates. Its difficult to figure out what exactly its doing, other than you don't see the issue if you stand on top of the helm sign. It gets worse the further away you get. It does change my coordinates whenever I rotate, so I can tell it is trying to do something. But it doesn't rotate my coordinates in the same direction it rotates the ship.
Second, turns out what I was seeing was just that some blocks with facing don't get rotated and always face south after rotation. Redstone repeaters work fine, but my dispensers do not. I use dispensers for bombs, machine guns, and cannons. Sounds like that (hopefully) may be a simple matter of adding the dispensers to whatever logic is handling the redstone repeater, except the dispensers can also face "down" and "up".

Posted Jun 15, 2013so i've got a plugin that already uses the stick, I want to make movecraft use a feather, can I set that in the config anywhere?
I was able to make the other plugin use a different item, but still would like to be able to change the movecraft item.

Got it. That sounds like the versions I used, but there must be some difference as mine works. Other than some problems with rotation, where blocks and entities (including the player) end up facing the wrong way.
Lets get more specific to try to figure out what is going on. I figure if we can resolve it, we can save some more time for the author to get the next version out.
Here is the exact files I am using:
craftbukkit-1.5.2-R0.1.jar exactly 12960348 bytes, from the manifest file it looks to be build 2771
Movecraft-3.jar exactly 669695 bytes, version 3.1.26
Can you give me a description of the error you are seeing? I see there are newer builds of craftbukkit-1.5.2-R0.1.jar, I wonder if they broke something. Finally, if you haven't already lets temporarily disable / move any other plugins.

Linyrae and Musichouse, I think you may be having problems with compatibility between your version of craftbukkit and Movecraft. I had something a little similar. If you refer to the "Recent Files" section on the top right of this page you will see a list of releases of Movecraft and the version of Craftbukkit they work with. In my case, once I downloaded a clean copy of Craftbukkit 1.5.2-r0.1 and Movecraft 3.1.26 it worked.
I also had an error due to using a version of Java that was too old, but that was a different error. Still, can't hurt to look at that too.
