MoreSwords

What is MoreSwords

Tired of the normal swords in minecraft? Install MoreSwords in your server to get more! MoreSwords gets you swords, you can enable/disable them in config. The added swords can be crafted in the crafting table just like any other item. Notice that when updating your config file won't be updated. Delete it or add the new config nodes manually.

Swords

MoreSwords currently contains 9 swords:

EmeraldSword: Diamond Sword with Sharpness I
FireSword: Iron Sword with Fire Aspect I
LapisSword: Iron Sword with Looting II
LavaSword: Iron Sword with Fire Aspect IV
SuperSword: Iron Sword with Sharpness IV
RedstoneSword: Iron Sword with Knockback III
ObsidianSword: Iron Sword with Unbreaking VI (Requires update 1.1)
BedrockSword: Iron Sword with Unbreaking X (Requires update 1.1)
CustomSword: Configurable (Required Update 1.2)

There are no commands & no permissions, Everybody can make more swords!

You can configure which swords you want to use and which not, the config file:

awesome but how are you meant to craft a fire sword... lava sword is TOO op for pvp servers...

Unfortunately, that is not possible without the use of a MOD, not unless you used different items like gold nuggets with a custom server texture pack and changed how much damage hitting with the specified item does.

Perhaps it could be a GREAT idea to do something with the coding so that each and every extra sword has a texture of it's own. Allowing the Owner to alter the skin to their liking, perhaps even allow the Owner to change the names in the configurations. Not exactly how that would work, but just a suggestion :P

Because it's physically impossible to add new textures to minecraft VIA plugins. But there is some wizardry to make it so you can add a texture, HOWEVER that most always requires the player to download something from being a resource pack or a modification.

Hey Crafttopia, I read your thead (http://soartex.net/community/threads/cit-names-with-more-swords-plugin.885/). I think you have to difine the sword name as "§aEmerald §fSword" instead of "&aEmerald &fSword", as minecraft doesn't use "&" for colors but "§". If this doesn't work, a config option is imported to disable colors

1.2 is uploaded to bukkit.org, It still has to be approved by bukkit staff. this update contains : Disabling colors and a custom sword!

Hey! I really like this plugin and I would like to make textures for my texturepack. (Soartex Fanver) I tried doing it with CIT but that does not work. Could you maybe make something in the config file that you can turn off the color in the name??? Because if there is not color in the name I can make those textures with Custom Item Textures.
