More Mobs
You think the default mobs of Minecraft are boring? Check out this plugin and you will get an adventure! More Mobs is a easy to use plugin to get more mobs into your server.
Installation, Configuration, and Use
Configuration file includes settings for the wraith's soul-reaping setup and also for the percent chances for mob spawning. A new feature in 3.0 is the ability to bind which type of mob a more mob spawns based off of, but that is explained in the configuration itself. The commands are /moremobs and /setWraithHell. /moremobs is used for spawning the moremobs, so for instance /moremobs giant would spawn a giant at the block where you are looking. /setWraithHell allows you to set the location where the victims of wraiths get sent when they die.

![]() | Wraith | This is the wraith. He wanders the overworld, looking for souls to reap. Should he ever hit you with his sickle, your soul will be ripped from your body and you will wake up in "hell" (the nether), or alternatively the world and coordinates of your choice. If your players are wimps and they whine about getting sent to the nether all the time, you can disable soul-reaping in the config file and the wraith will just behave like a regular zombie. ![]() | Giant Zombie | This is the Giant Zombie. he's been part of the game code since Alpha, but never actually appeared in game! isn't that a shame. At any rate, he's here now! He can be found anywhere regular zombies spawn, but is much rarer. He has a lot of hearts, but is much friendlier than his smaller zombie cousins and only attacks you if you hit him first. Even when he attacks you, he can't reach down far enough with his arms, so he will just try to step on you! dodge those feet! |
| Giant Slime | You thought those regular large slimes were big, right? Wrong! With MoreMobs, you have a 1/100 chance of a slime spawning HUGE! These monsters have ridiculously high health and are very difficult to kill. Other than being MASSIVE, they behave just like regular Slimes. and the best part? they split into 2-4 smaller slimes when they die! and those split! and those split! WARNING:by the time you manage to entirely kill this thing, your sword might break! | |
| Giant Magma Cube | What's a Giant Slime without some giant lava slimes as well? Yes, ladies and Gentlmen: it's a giant magma cube. All the properties of the giant slime, plus it jumps 10 blocks in the air! | |
| Herobrine Blocks | On dark and stormy nights, the evil Lord Herobrine emerges from his lair... Some nights, when he's feeling particularly evil, he casts spells on blocks and makes them do his bidding. These blocks, now filled with Herobrine's evil spirit, rise out of the ground and begin floating around, looking for players to land upon and suffocate. Most of the time they pick up another block beside them to use as a weapon. A picture doesn't really do this mob justice; In this picture it just looks like a couple floating grass blocks. Let me assure you; it moves, it turns, it attacks.... BEWARE :) | |
| PigChest | This delightful, adorable little creature will carry your items for you. Simply right click a pig with a storage minecart to put the minecart on his back. He'll carry it around for you in a very humorous fashion- it'll wobble around and look for all the world like it's going to slip off, but it never does. He will follow a carrot on a stick, so if you get 2 or 3 of these guys they would make long-distance travel very easy. | |
| Baby Zombie | Tiny and adorable, this little zombie child nevertheless packs a punch attacking. In future versions he will be tamable, like a wolf. |

This would all be quite fun to have, however without actually modifying the game, the ghast idea is out, along with the fish and ghost busters, ghost may be possible but probably not to the extent you'd hope and be impossible to beat, making them basically a huge nuisance. The bats could be possible but could end up becoming another hellhound. It would be nice to have all that but it would require client side modding rather than server side.

Living Cloud: a ghast that is friendly and spawns in the overworld at high elevations. they are rideable with ghast saddles, which are crafted by surrounding a saddle with ghast tears.They can be walked on without a saddle and fly around aimlessly. They will attack hostile mobs but will attack you if you pose a threat. Easy Ghost: An invisible zombie that makes no sounds except for the creepy sounds that are in caves. It does not hurt but is a small nuisance also places creepy signs and spawns in houses (Set settings to spawn on any wood, stone, bricks, etc). Strong Ghost: A stronger invisible zombie that can hurt, place creepy signs, levitate, blind you and cause you to re-spawn at your bed. (Without dieing) King Ghost: A very strong ghost that is invisible but can be detected by broken paintings, signs and sand/gravel/entities moving towards it slowly. It shoots fireballs that don't do structural damage. It will only spawn in very rare circumstances. It must be in VERY large areas such as 1000 blocks of air. (So that it can be like a boss battle.)All ghost are invincible. Also VERY IMPORTANT! if a ghost steps within 1 block of a hopper it turns into a captured ghost which looks like a wither skull or a pumpkin. (Like ghost busters) They can be pulled in with a blaze rode (configurable) There should be many reasons for having captured ghost. They should be used as VERY powerful furnace fuel, enchanting weapons or maybe can be set free to annoy another player. (ghost will follow a player until killed.) Also you can only catch ghost with hoppers by typing in command.(So only some people can be ghost busters.) It would be cool if captured ghost haunted the room that the chest they are contained in is in so they must be contained in high security. (Also because someone can set them free and have the world filled with ghost.Hell Bat: bats that are on fire. They deal damage and spawn in groups of 10. Also if possible, please add mobs that actually are raw fish but swim and spawn in water. clear lagg cant get rid of them. they are just non pickup-able items that move around in water. maybe they can drop fish eggs (regular egg skin or slime ball skin) that spawn fish. It would be cool to type in a command with a fish egg in your hand and have a pet fish that never despawns. Also it would be cool if Hellhounds were tameable. Thanks.

lol i do understand, you just read my post wrong. The reason i put the link to that thread s to give ideas of the names of possible mobs with a brief description of them, for i don't know exactly what is limited so based off of this new information some ideas may pop up that may be useful in creating mobs. Such as the golem, how they made it was a bunch of blocks attached to each other (texture or not) i believe it still could possibly be done as a new mob or something like that. Even though most of the mobs on that link are impossible to make some may not be impossible and others may give good ideas.

Is there any way to make these spawn naturally?
Also, (using dev build) I cant seem to find a way for these disallow certain mobs i dont feel like they have a place on my server, like foodfighter, wisp and heroblockwhatever enemy.
Id love more variations of skeletons and zombies tho. Randomzied armors, health dmg and speed variations. Some nice random droprates.
My wishlist for mobs: Skeleton warrior (uses axe, sword) chain helm, black leather chestplate, leather boots: very weak but faster than zombies, makes low dmg, high spawn rate. (some variation in armors, not just full sets like you have now) 3 hits with ironsword to take down, that kind of weak.
Skeletal Horror Wither skeleton skin in random armor, hits hard and has knockback (without wither effect) takes lots of dmg. Has chance to drop enchanted books and emeralds (i use emerald currency on my server) The kind of mob that you rather run away from.
zombie morpher appears and acts as a normal zombie, but when it gets killed it turns in to 2 weaker zombies, and as those die it turns in to 3 baby zombies, gets weaker for every level of zombie spawned.
forest spider poison spider skin, makes tiny dmg has tiny health. has a medium chance to create a spiderweb on the player on hit.
Blood leach baby zombie with wooden hoe, takes only one hit with iron sword, makes only half heart dmg, when it hits the player it has a high chance to spawn another blood leach mob, fast runners.
Writts creeper skin; that appears to be struck by lightning, very rare spawnrate. medium health, shoots lightning at the player when within range, explodes by sunlight (without block dmg) Spawn on high altitudes.
.... I can think of more, but i dont wanna bother you :P tell me if you like the ideas.

Posted Mar 26, 2013this is an absolutely epicly amazing plugin that is the perfect replacement for mo-creatures. I hope you continue to work on this and add some awesome new stoof etc. As for some ideas, will that's a little difficult to request for i don't quite know what ur all limited to etc. but heres a link to all the mobs implanted/suggest for mo-creatures and hopefully as u go through the list you'll find some good options and ideas on how to make some of these mobs. Specifically some that would be awesome and able to do would probably be elemental types of golems? Anyways decides that heres the link:

Even though you probably have thought of/checked this out already there's always a chance that u haven't so please do xD
Edit: I just remember another suggestion if it has not already been named, what about making some mobs that are permanently attached to each other? such as the spider jockey, but as a whole so that if part of it dies, such as the spider, the skeleton dies at the same time etc.

just type /moremobs ingame and it will give you two commands. one for the normal mobs implemented, one of the WIPs.
also in that version heroblock is working another way. just drop a stack of dirt (only one item at one time, not the whole stack) and wait what happens ;)

1) Heroblock does not read its own config file. I have the block grief set to false & it still steals the block when it spawns.
2) Also, when will the WIPs be added? My server will gladly be a testing ground for this plugin.

Posted Mar 24, 2013Instead of them being rare can you make their spawn rates higher as if they were just regular mobs. Also look up weeping angels on bukkit. One guy figured out how to make a mob that is just a few blocks that act as one. Cant wait till 1.5.1 update thanks.

as he already said there is no spawning ability implemented at the moment. Dev 0.3 is as it says just a dev build and the old way of spawning them broke with 1.5.
i think in one of the next dev build spawning will be readded :)
