Welcome to the ultimate monster hell. I have brought together everything anyone everyone could ever want to do with monsters into one completely hellbent plugin. Use at your own risk.
Warning - Zombie digging is destructive, if you turn it on and configure it, please backup your worlds.
Plugin has been thoroughly tested as working properly, if you have trouble please report it so I can make it work for a wider range of setups!
PLEASE USE CRAFTBUKKIT 1.11 (R1) for version 19.6. Only Spigot supports this build. No other builds will work with this version.

Config
http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/monster-apocalypse/pages/config/
(Is partially updated)
You will need to reference craftbukkit enums for drops and block attacking to work, failure to use valid enums could potentially break your plugin. You can find them here:
https://hub.spigotmc.org/javadocs/bukkit/org/bukkit/Material.html
You may want to play with Spawn Points, you can find the info here:
http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/monster-apocalypse/pages/spawn-points/
If you wish to develop your own plugin with my health API, check this page:
http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/monster-apocalypse/pages/health-api/
For Nightmare Mode, check here:
http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/monster-apocalypse/pages/nightmare-mode/
Need multiple configs?
- Note: This is outdated and may not work.
How to set up multiple installations, for different custom difficulties on multiple worlds:
- Copy the MA jar and rename it.
- Rename the plugin inside plugin.yml of the second copy (within the jar), and remove the commands section.
- Disable registering the /MA command in the second copy's config.
- Double check that you have no world names overlapping between the two configs, and that your bonus and naturalistic spawns are restricted to the right worlds.
You now have two separate installations.

Posted Mar 2, 2014@blainicus:
Is there anyway to incorporate a part of the mod in which the mobs ignore certain players? Using permissions?
(I would like to set up a game type with an enemy player who tries to thwart the survival of the other players. I could just use creative, but I don't trust the other players enough to give them creative.)
Also, it would be nice for Giants to have mega-aggro. Currently they just spawn outside the walls and sit there all night unless you run very close to them. Only then do they become dangerous.

Posted Feb 27, 2014Sorry to sound like a downer on this plugin because it has great potential- But the support is terrible. There exists no concice explanation as to how the hundreds of lines of configuration work, what evxactly does work or doesnt- whats been DISABLED but is still in there, the countless things that dont make sense :\
It appears that MobManager does almost everything this plugin does and a few more- Is way less laggy and actually works. It is intuitive and has active support
http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/mobmanager/
I'm all fpor giving praise where it's due- And i really do love the bonus spawn and nerdpoling features- But this plugin is basically broken

Posted Feb 27, 2014The config isn't working at all. Bukkit registers the plugin, because i see the /monsterapocalypse in the commands help page. But when i save the config and restart the server, the config doesnt apply at all, no matter what i configure, it doesnt do any difference to the world. To quickly go back and forth between the config and the server i set always night: true, and it just doesnt work. I don't know whats wrong with it. This looks like a really awesome plugin that you have here, please help?
Im still messing around with it, and i had the bukkit cmd up and i saw something fly by on the screen that caught my eye. I scrolled up to find what it was and there is an error thats says exactly: ...ERROR] cannot load plugins\Monster_Apocalypse\config.yml org.bukkit.configuration.InvalidConfigurationException: mapping values are not allowed here in "<string>", line 8 , column 129: ...seEnable natural hostile spawns?: trueEnable natural passive spa... ^
i dont know what to do, please help! Thank you!

Posted Feb 25, 2014A few questions....
1. Is there a sheet somewhere that lists all the blocks with seconds next to them for the zombie break properties? I'd do it myself but hand doing it is kind of tedious.
2. Is it possible to give other mobs the block breaking feature as well?
3. Is there a way to allow monsters to attack other mobs, destroy items, steal items, etc?
Thanks for the great plugin. This plugin is a must have for survival mode imho. Keep up the great work blainicus. =)

The hard cap is no longer supported. It was causing more lag than it saved.

Posted Feb 23, 2014hard cap on all mobs set to 10- /butcher killed 3000 mobs. Ive tried getting 3 other "despawn" plugins to stop insane amounts of mobs around players- nothing is working! I want there to always be zombies but not so they accumulate to the point where it crashes..... errrrgggg

Posted Feb 22, 2014Oh i also forgot to ask- is there a way to get it to not spawn more than X monsters near a player? Hard cap on all mobs spawning: 1000 I went to my spawn and did /butcher and killed over 3500 zombies :\

Posted Feb 22, 2014I also noticed the wolves receive damage just by standing around- I dont have wolves spawning for this very reason because its annoying.
I can use worldguard to limit where mobs spawn i suppose- ill just use the same method as global but have regions defined for Y ranges and deny specific mobs.
As for "Naturalistic" spawns- that doesnt seem to work.... at all. I have the "naturalistic spawn per tick" set to 1000 and it doesnt make a different- not cave spiders are spawning in the Y range i define (I assume that would be the only way to get certain mobs to spawn in certain Y)

What you said about regions is correct.
Bonus spawns is intended to work similar to a minigame, where an exact number of mobs spawns each time. It needs to ignore block height to accomplish this goal. Naturalistic is more like vanilla and you'll want that.
@Jacold
I think you misunderstood my last post.

So I must create "underground" region which prevent spawning Ghasts underground.
So what about Withers don't spawning? They should spawn 3 times often than Ender Dragons but each day players kills nearly 5 Dragons but any Wither don't appear...

Posted Feb 21, 2014I dont understand the difference- If you tell the plugin the "MAX Y it is able to use to FIND a place" then wouldn't it still work the same? If you are saying it's impossible to restrict spawning to a certain Y axis then thats fine ill look for a way to do it elsewise.
Also, is there a way to prevent mobs from either - spawning within a certain range of spawn, or ignore players inside a worldguard region with a certain flag? Monsters are flooding players in spawn as soon as they join and currently the only way I can think of to avoid it is make a big worldguard region where mob spawning is set to false, and make the region bigger than the aggro of the mobs so they dont flood my spawn

Bonus spawns are made to FIND a place for the mobs to spawn on the Y axis, so never use them for height-restricted area spawns.

http://pastebin.com/7ZdpRMsR
As you can see, my setup is exactly liek yours! The Y settings are actually 63- but they still shouldnt be spawning on top of buildings. The "naturalistic" spawns dont appear to do anything. The only way to get them to spawn is if i add them directly to bonus spawns list- but then they spawn above the Y range.
