Config
http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/monster-apocalypse/pages/config/
(Is partially updated)
You will need to reference craftbukkit enums for drops and block attacking to work, failure to use valid enums could potentially break your plugin. You can find them here:
https://hub.spigotmc.org/javadocs/bukkit/org/bukkit/Material.html
You may want to play with Spawn Points, you can find the info here:
http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/monster-apocalypse/pages/spawn-points/
If you wish to develop your own plugin with my health API, check this page:
http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/monster-apocalypse/pages/health-api/
For Nightmare Mode, check here:
http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/monster-apocalypse/pages/nightmare-mode/
Need multiple configs?
- Note: This is outdated and may not work.
How to set up multiple installations, for different custom difficulties on multiple worlds:
- Copy the MA jar and rename it.
- Rename the plugin inside plugin.yml of the second copy (within the jar), and remove the commands section.
- Disable registering the /MA command in the second copy's config.
- Double check that you have no world names overlapping between the two configs, and that your bonus and naturalistic spawns are restricted to the right worlds.
You now have two separate installations.

Yeah, I know, I'm entering it as "[space*4]- SANDSTONE:
" but when it reloads it automatically removes itself (it does the same if I enable the ability of airbridging for creepers), and if I don't reload it will stay there, but not work.I tried doing it while the server is offline as well (which is weird because all the other changes have worked while it being online) but it still isn't doing anything :/
Also, small suggestion, could you add so that I can choose which mobs destroy torches? Because as far as I know you can only enable it for all the mobs.
EDIT: The enums for the other sandstones are "SANDSTONE_GLYPHED" and "SANDSTONE_SMOOTH"

The enum values are:
SANDSTONE
SANDSTONE_STAIRS
I'm not sure what chiseled sandstone falls under.
Make sure your server is offline when you add config changes and that you have disabled zombie world mode while it is offline.

I did, but the config will still overwrite and remove any changes, however I got the creepers and spiders to spawn (tbh I have no idea what I did) but zombies still won't dig through sandstone, chiseled sandstone, smooth sandstone or sandstone stairs and any attempt to add it in the config will just "reload and overwrite" it.

Disable zombie world mode and it won't over-write. You'll keep the settings it already made.

Posted Dec 28, 2013So I used the preset setting in the config file and I really like it, however there are no creepers or spider even though it is enabled. Essentially every night there are 20 zombies, 2 skeletons (example numbers) and.. uh nothing else. Yes, it is fun when the zombies swarm over me and my friend, when the skeletons knock down our defenses with exploding arrows... but there are no pouncing spiders or exploding creepers.
Also, from what I can tell they (zombies) aren't destroying sandstone and sandstone stairs and trying to enable it in the config "SANDSTONE: X" doesn't work, because the config will reload and automatically remove it.

I am having the same issue. Monsters do not break blocks. Speed, mega agro, work. I am also noticing issues with setting monsters such as creepers to explode on death doesn't work. Nor does setting them on fire.
How ever i know that they are still not fully done with re-coding bukkit. So i am going to assume you have to wait to implement or to get these fixed until that is out.??
Update: I removed all other plugins, Creepers now explode and cause fire. The only thing i can't get to work now is zombies / zombie pigmen destroying blocks.

I also had my config changed like that when I put id's in. Then I put the names like I used to have and zombies still weren't breaking blocks. I think it may be busted. It's just not MA without it :/

Nope.
@Pitsbrgparatrpr
Angrywolves is compatible last time I checked.
@Typical_Name
Your config is fine, maybe they just aren't hitting right because of the angle, or you have a bad craftbukkit version. Could also have broken by update.

Posted Dec 24, 2013I has problem. From what I understand of how the plugin works, Skeleton Super-Arrows are supposed to be able to be shot at long distances and across vertical height. However, the skeletons in my world don't seem to be either shooting super-arrows or attacking across the y-axis, even though I have super arrows enabled in the config. I tested this by standing on an obsidian pillar and waiting for the mobs to come to see how they react. The melee-oriented mobs acted as expected, massing around the pillar and destroying the parts they could reach, but the skeletons did not attempt to shoot the player, and instead charged at the player and joined the mass of melee mobs.
Is the feature currently broken, or is something wrong with my config? (I checked to make sure I didn't have the deaggro perm, so that shouldn't be the issue.) http://pastebin.com/D9ShhvQ5

Posted Dec 24, 2013Happy holidays! Just wondering if there was a way to only make this plugin work every few days, or another plugin you know of that would do this. Thank you. Blood moon didn't exactly do this, but at least it let people know when the "phase" began with the red atmosphere texture .. but they havent updated.

That's odd. I tried testing a decimal block id with dirt. I typed " - 3:10 " and when I started the server the config changed it to " - '190' " and zombies couldn't break dirt.
Edit: I am using the 1.6.4 version. Is this a feature added in 1.7?

Zombie block breaking supports block ID's already.

Posted Dec 19, 2013Just wondering, would it be possible to support using Block IDs in the config? This would really improve compatibility with mods. If this isn't possible an option to have monsters break all blocks would be cool too.

I'm glad you like it. People having fun is what keeps me going.
You might want to check that you enabled custom mob health at the top of the config.
MA doesn't support monster data values other than Wither Skeletons, so yes, the horses are MA's fault.
Happy holidays.

Posted Dec 18, 2013Hey, I'm loving this plugin! Just started trying it this weekend, and it's something I've been missing for quite awhile! Brings back chills lack in my early Minecraft days, because now I know zombies could be digging into my base, and I sometimes hear them! I also used the "Bonus," plus multiplying the default Natural spawn number, and got great overworld difficulty, with just the tiniest hints of tougher creatures for bosses, like blazes as mini-bosses from time to time, plus giants that seem easy until they die in an explosion and out come 10 zombies towards you! The explosion and spawning creatures feature was a great idea; really helps giants be exciting! I also used increases in the "Naturalistic Bonus" configurations to effect my Nether dimension specifically, finally getting so many blazes and auto-aggressive pigmen to keep me needing to use high-level healing items to their best potential! Overall wonderful plugin; my favorite so far, for sure! It also is working very smoothly with the other plug-ins I tried that affect looting and wolves, so that's really nice how compatible it is. This is my first time trying Bukkit, so maybe that's typical of Bukkit plugin developers' work, but I still appreciate it! Really liking the plugin.
I did notice a few things that seemed to not work quite right with Minecraft 1.7.4 as of 18 Dec. 2013. Most importantly, I think the Wither Skeleton might not be entirely working; its health hasn't increased like I set it to. They are also still rare in the nether, though I set their rate to be high on the naturalistic bonus configuration. They are spawning rarely in the overworld like I intended, however, despite their vanilla maximum health that I'm hoping to figure out how to change.
Also, after I installed the plug-in some of my mobs started having their necks twisted in odd directions when first spawn; they fix their necks immediately upon moving, so it doesn't bother me much. Final issue: seems like nearly all of my generated horses are pure white as of starting to use the few Bukkit plugins I'm trying. I thought I'd let you know in case the Apocalypse plugin accidentally changed the horse colors to be mostly all white. Don't know which plug-in was involved for sure, yet, though this one seems a likely possibility.
Thanks so much for the plug-in! Small price to pay to have every horse look like Shadowfax from LoTR and have a few funny-necked monsters, in order to enjoy some awesome plug-ins, most of all this one! I think I'll host a survival adventure for my siblings this Christmas season to try it out. Thanks again! Tyruswoo
