Welcome to the ultimate monster hell. I have brought together everything anyone everyone could ever want to do with monsters into one completely hellbent plugin. Use at your own risk.
Warning - Zombie digging is destructive, if you turn it on and configure it, please backup your worlds.
Plugin has been thoroughly tested as working properly, if you have trouble please report it so I can make it work for a wider range of setups!
PLEASE USE CRAFTBUKKIT 1.11 (R1) for version 19.6. Only Spigot supports this build. No other builds will work with this version.

You will need to reference craftbukkit enums for drops and block attacking to work, failure to use valid enums could potentially break your plugin. You can find them here:

Need multiple configs?
- Note: This is outdated and may not work.
How to set up multiple installations, for different custom difficulties on multiple worlds:
- Copy the MA jar and rename it.
- Rename the plugin inside plugin.yml of the second copy (within the jar), and remove the commands section.
- Disable registering the /MA command in the second copy's config.
- Double check that you have no world names overlapping between the two configs, and that your bonus and naturalistic spawns are restricted to the right worlds.
You now have two separate installations.

Hey, Noticed that World Guard won't work on the new build, any way to get mobs to stay away from a certain place? poor spawn is going down in flames! (although i do like the Idea, makes it much harder on my server)
I don't see any zombies spawn with armour on my server, even when i do increase health and damage, is this implemented directly on you're plugin, or is it still "vanilla"?

Posted Dec 26, 2012@blainicus I just tried to make all mobs friendly towards a player - there have been various plugins like friendlymobs or stopmob for example that did exactly that, but they all have been discontinued for a while .. any suggestion?

If you have the permission and the flag is enabled in the config, mobs will not mega-aggro on you. It's useful for RPG servers where some players are evil.

It depends on if you want individual mobs to be tougher, or to have more of them. Mess around with hp, damage, and naturalistic bonus spawns. Spawn points are mostly used for adventure map servers where they want certain areas to be thematically crowded with mobs, rather than all over the place.

I've tried to set "monster apocalypse.deaggro" and "monsterapocalypse.deaggro" but they both did not do anything. :(

Pitch black is 0, moonlight is 4, sunlight is 16. You'll want to increase the max light to sunlight.

Minimum light level to spawn: 0 Maximum light level to spawn: 7

Posted Dec 25, 2012Well, I did all that you said except "Enable advanced monster properties" because I couldn't find it. There's a section labeled "Advanced Monster Properties" and the monsters below it, but there isn't an "Enable" option anywhere else for "Advanced Monster Properties". I did find another though that fixed it... "Enable all other monster properties?".

If you're just going to play with a bit of zombie/skeleton warfare, I highly suggest simply using this preconfigured setup. It's great fun, I always use it. http://www.2shared.com/file/oigcNnIz/config.html
OTHERWISE:
Disable natural hostile spawns (single flag in the top).
Enable Naturalistic bonus spawns (single flag in the top).
Enable advanced monster properties (single flag in the top).
Set everything in Naturalistic bonus spawns except zombie to false.
Restart your server.

Posted Dec 25, 2012Are there any configurations I have to make to get the plugin to work? It isn't working for me. I placed it into the plugins forlder and ran the server. It created the Monster Apocalypse folder and config files. The server appears to have installed the plugin fine. I have a couple other plugins and they work fine. I'm trying to only use Zombies but when I change all the other monsters to "spawn: false" except for the Zombies, and change "burns in sunlight: false" under the Zombie's "Monter Properties" it doesn't do anything! There are still other monsters and the Zombies burn up in the daytime. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, correct config line.
I'm not sure what your problem is from. Sorry. I've ruled out everything I can, it works fine on my servers. Check your server log for errors, that's the last chance.
