MobHealth
MobHealth
Simple damage reporting. When you hit a mob, MobHealth tells you how much damage you did and how much health it has left: in chat, on the action bar, on the mob's name tag, as a boss bar, as a floating damage number, or as a health bar hovering over the mob. Any combination, and nothing for players to install.
MobHealth 11 is the classic plugin rebuilt around the NeoForge version's feature set, and it runs on every server line from Beta 1.7.3 to 26.3. Pick the file for your server:
+bukkit1.13-26.3: Spigot and Paper, 1.13 through 26.3+bukkit1.8-1.12: 1.8 through 1.12.2+bukkit1.7: CraftBukkit / Spigot 1.7.2 through 1.7.10+beta1.7.3: Beta 1.7.3 (CraftBukkit #1060, Poseidon, UberBukkit, Canyon)
Display modes
| Mode | Needs |
|---|---|
Chat: Zombie [||||||||||] 14/20 (-6) |
any server |
| Action bar: the same readout above the hotbar | 1.8+ |
| Nameplate: a coloured bar on the mob's name tag | 1.7+ |
| Boss bar: the widget at the top of the screen | 1.9+ |
| Damage indicators: red numbers that pop off the mob and rise | 1.8+ |
| Graphical: a floating bar riding above the mob | 1.19.4+ |
Bars go green → yellow → red as health drops. MobHealth says at startup which enabled modes your server cannot show, so nothing fails quietly.
Options
- Show for hostile, neutral and passive mobs, players and bosses separately, with per-mob
overrides (
minecraft:villager=false). - Only the attacker sees it, or everyone nearby.
- Bar length, glyphs, numbers as
14/20or70%, how long bars linger, how long after a kill. /mobhealth togglelets each player mute it;mobhealth.seelets you hide it from a rank.- The config has the same keys as the NeoForge mod, so one set of docs covers both.
Commands and permissions
/mobhealth reload (mobhealth.reload, op) · /mobhealth toggle [on|off] [player]
(mobhealth.toggle, everyone; mobhealth.toggle.others, op) · mobhealth.see (everyone)

Check your server logs / console during startup. It tells you during start.

Thanks for the reply. I am waiting on a few mods and plugins before updating. BTW i knew 7.1.0 was for 1.6.2 hence the question. Trouble is when i re-downloaded the 6.1.4, i delete both the mobhealth plugin and the mobhealth folder in the plugins folder. So i still don't know how it gets the 1.6.2 version on the first restart of the server. I also tried disabling the update function in the config.yml and deleted the current plugin and copied a backup, of the fresh download. and it still shows this error. That is why I thought there might be an issue with the version being downloaded initially. Just thought there might be an issue you need to know about. But thank you:D

OK - I see your still running 1.5.2 (org.bukkit.craftbukkit.v1_5_R3).
MobHealth 7.0.0+ is for 1.6.2+ only. Mojang changed all the health and damage handling in the code from integers to doubles in the code, and as MobHealth is *all* about health and damage it's changed the code alot.
As for how you got 7.1.0 - my guess would be the auto updater(?)... make sure to edit config.yml and set 'doUpdate' to disable if you're sticking with 1.5.2.

Posted Aug 17, 2013Firstly, Love this plugin, epic stuff :D I am getting a strange error with MobHealth.
The problem is it says on the first line mobhealth v7.1.0 but i don't have this version installed. I am using MobHealth V6.1.4 as downloaded. BTW I am using MCPC 1.5.2 + Forge
Is there a problem with the download link, maybe giving the latest version instead of the intended version? I tried redownloading v6.1.4 and it still says 7.1.0 in the error
Hope some one can answer this soon, Thanks
UPDATE: I tried an earlier version for 1.5.2 (v6.1.3) and the problem does not occur. However I would still like to understand as a server admin why this occured. Thanks

Posted Aug 13, 2013Just like to point out that with mobhealth it has been the only thing to literally fix the health bar and epicbossmod health notifications so far and you guys should really look at Epicbossmod for the issues not mobhealth. I've had endless problems setting up epicbossmod but make sure you delete or disable ALL health plugins and just use this. It was the only way to fix it for me.

You should update to the new heroes version! I am getting errors on SkillDamageEvent since it now uses doubles instead of Integers!
Just build against the latest heroes version and it should work fine!
Thanks, Marwzoor

MobHealth has always been very lightweight and speedy. Im guessing it must be an interaction with another plugin or the new healthbar code. Have you tried disabling health bars?
Can you also run /timmings and put the results through http://aikar.co/timings.php ? That will pinpoint exactly which evets and plugins lag is coming from.
