MobDisguise v1.81 - Featured on BashCraft: Legend of Hobo!

Description:

MobDisguise is a plugin allowing you to transform into any mob you want, with no client mods! Just simple type /md disguise pig, and boom, everybody now sees and thinks your a pig! Can't quite take out the enemy pvp team? Transform into chickens, and sneak behind enemy lines! It even includes an API for other plugins to hook into, and can change players into mobs too!

Features:

Disguise as any mob and be seen as such by all other players
Enable or disable per-mob permissions, or give the .* permission for all of them
Blacklist certain mobs you don't want
Enable "RealDrops" and on death, a disguised player drops the correct item for his mob disguise, not his normal inventory
A simple API that plugins can hook into to disguise/undisguise players

Commands:

All commands begin with /md, short for MobDisguise, to provide a simple command system

/md baby ; toggle being a baby animal!
/md stats ; Tells you what you're disguised or if you are disguised
/md ; Turns you back into human form if disguised
/md types ; Will give you a list of all valid mob types
/md p [nameofplayer] ; Lets you disguise as that player!
/md [mobtype] ; Will disguise you as the given mobtype

Permissions (PermissionsBukkit, bPermissions, PEX, but NOT! Permissions 3.1.6:

mobdisguise.* ;Gives a player the ability to transform into all mobs
mobdisguise.mob.[mobtype] ; Replace [mobtype] with the mobtype players can turn into
mobdisguise.player ; Lets a player turn into othe players

Q. I want to be able to have abilities when disguised, i.e creepers explode.

Download MobDisguise, here!
Place .jar in your plugins folder.
Done!

You're supposed to use permissions to deny that player the ability to use mobdsiguise.

Could you make it to where I could either have a blacklist of players you can not disguise as (ex: server admins) or make it a separate permission per each player disguise (ex: mobdisguise.player.<playername>?

Can I just say I love the FAQ,

@strakeflames There really isn't a good way to do this, even with SpoutCraft. It'd ultimately require a custom client mod. I haven't done any client modding myself, and I don't know if Desmin wold consider trying to make such a mod.

@MCDexeron It'd be best if you looked at the source code of MobDisguise or even my PG-Dev-Team fork. Once you understand how the packets work for the mobs (especially the baby ones) you will notice that there are two options for creating an angry wolf.

If you want, you can fork the repository and add that feature yourself. Then you can send a pull request to Desmin so that it ends up in the main project.

Hey, I'm making a Plugin.

And I'm wondering If you could PM me on Bukkit with a small snippet of code that turns a player into an (angry if possible) wolf.

Now, I know you may not want to do that - Understandable, So here is a suggestion...

Allow players (with the correct permissions) to MobDisguise other players, like /md other [Player Name] [Mob]

Is it possible to see yourself as disguised in third person camera? I know it's not in the plugin, but is this a doable feature for the future?

Did you deny them mobdisguise.* ? I think that it defaults to everybody or something.

Spout is a server plugin that adds more hooks and listeners. In combination with SpoutCraft, one could create custom GUIs. Many of us avoid using Spout due to the random errors it has.

Currently in MobDisguise, there's a bug that allows SpoutCraft players to see the name above a disguised person's head. We'd need to try hooking into Spout to remove the nameplates.

@MufinMcFlufin What the hell is Spout? I hear about it nearly everywhere and I can't get it... @desmin88 @Devil_Boy Permissions are not working properly. I give a player these nodes: - mobdisguise.zombie - mobdisguise.creeper - mobdisguise.spider - mobdisguise.villager And they can become any mob they choose!

Any chance of support Spout, so it can disable Spout players from seeing you're you?

First off, you don't open the .jar.
Secondly, this plugin doesn't require Spout.

I see why Desmin doesn't like dealing with some people....
