MobCatcher
MobCatcher
Capture mobs and get eggs legitimately:
Version: 3.18
This project has moved over to SpigotMC!
Thank you guys so much for all the downloads on BukkitDev. Head on over to SpigotMC to download the latest version of MobCatcher.
This page will no longer be updated.
MobCatcher allows players to capture mobs and get the corresponding spawn eggs. This is useful for trading and transporting mobs from player to player or even across worlds. As well as having a configurable capture item, MobCatcher also boasts configurable mob types and item costs per capture, bringing a new economic value to mob types both peaceful and hostile. MobCatcher is able to store and recall mob specific data saved to specific spawn eggs. This means things like capturing and spawning colored sheep, baby animals, and tamed wolves is possible! This is done via a separate .dat file which saves data for each mob and removes it when that mob is spawned.Try it out on your server today!
This plugin collects basic usage information for mcstats.org. You may opt out in the generated pluginMetrics config file.

MobCatcher will NOT work if you are not using the version of CB it was intended for. Due to the Bukkit "safeguard' system, MobCatcher will break every version change. Do NOT post tickets or comments about ClassNotFoundExceptions or infinite spawning glitches as these are caused by you using the wrong version.
Before posting a bug, check your server console for a giant red error message.

Thank you, btw. lol
Yeah, looks like I just uploaded the wrong version. Both releases were the same thing. (derp)

I'm not entirely sure what your question is.
But yes, they do have seperate Ids, but its not the same format, like with wool where you can specify the color with Id:damage value. But the entity type for spawn eggs is stored as a durability, not a damage value. If you're trying to use the standard give command, it would be /give <playername> 383 <amount> <entity id>
If I totally didn't at all answer your question, just post here again, lol. I check this pretty often

Posted Mar 10, 2012I have a question. A player of mine wants to sell skeleton eggs he captures with the ChestShop plugin.
However, when you try to buy the skeleton egg with the ID of 383:51, it doesn't work, but if I give him one of that ID from the server, it does work.
So my question, do these eggs have seperate item ID's? If they do, how do I find them?

You're welcome.
Its really not that different, just no Ocelots or Iron Golems, and no entity target event, which I was only using for the golems anyways
Until bukkit releases a recommended build for 1.2.3, ill probably be continuing the backwards compatible builds for major changes.

KillerSmurf's soultrap? lmao
But yeah, that's already implemented. Should be easy config changes to get it set up that way. Depending on whether you're using the simple or complex config setups, go to that section and change the desired "MustBeKilled" fields to true.
Check out the config file help page if you need anything else, or feel free to ask here again :)

There should have been anything changed between 2.2 and 2.2.1 except a small enderdragon bug which, essentially, made them uncapturable and generally ended with the players getting their heads bitten off, lmao.
Let me know, tho. If that, for whatever reason, changes something. Likely tho, theres an issue with something in the mobData.dat file, since I did a little reformatting there. If you havent deleted it with your server completely off (because an instance of it will still be running if the server is on and it won't actually delete) since you started using v2.2, you need to do that.

The item name field is purely for you to remember what you've set it to, it doesn't actually send any info to the plugin. I am, however, unable to duplicate this bug. What versions are you two using? both of bukkit and of my plugin

Posted Mar 6, 2012@hunterboerner I'm getting the same issue. I do have UsedOnCapture set to true and it still doesn't take the egg. Is the item name not "egg" but rather "chickenegg" or something? Maybe just a random bug?
