About
This plugin allows you to create Stargates and ringtransporters and travel through them fast and stargate-authentic through your world:
It doesnt teleport only yourself: Ride with a horse through gates, put your villagers or animals inside lores and drive them through or simply enjoy the unique KAWOOSH-Animation, over and over again. Protect your Base by activating the Iris and see people running into it. Use the Ringtransporters to travel fast through your buildings or hide your chests in a hidden room. Your options are no limits... You can use multiple commands ("/mpgates help" to see them all ingame) and our new easy-use-features to controll your new ancient technologie.
Supports permissions and also different language-packs. With the config-data you get a very high level of control to set up your server.

Features
Everything you can see in the trailer is part of this plugin. While we are still testing, we only publish a very restricted version, cause we dont want you to damage your worlds.
With this plugin, you can do/have:
- a unique kawoosh-animation
- Create + get teleported by stargates
- create + get teleported by ringtransporters
- easy-use-features: close stargates by leftclicking them or activate/deactivate their iris with redstone
- structure your gates in private networks
- travel through stargates on vehicles or animals
- send villagers,items or any other entitys through gates
- protect your stargates with an iris
- make your own Language-packs or edit them like you wish
- permissions for every functionality

Newest Version is 0.75. It provides everything seen in the cinematic trailer (except the rotating tunnel, thats Photoshop)

Posted May 12, 2021I was wondering if the plugin was ever updated for 1.15.2. There's a good change that it might work under Paper 1.16.5. After a very long Minecraft absence, I returned to migrate my worlds to the latest paper. I really do miss the MP Gates ring transporter!

I need to use this plugin on the current latest version on the game (1.15.2), could you update it please ?
It looks like, on this version, gates still works, but not rings.
But gates have some issues:
- Your mount is not teleported the first time you enter the portal, you have to go back through it, then come to your destination again, then it will be there.
- Some config properties in the config file have no effect (like the shield block).
- Errors are shown very often in chat, when you enter a command.
- Gates's network operators and simple members seems to have the same rights (especially both can destroy the gates, wich is not convenient when you want members to only be able to travel through gates)
Also the uploaded file called 0.77, identifies itself in the logs as being version 0.75.
Also there is features I would love to see in this plugin, if ever you could add something:
- Have the possibility to create different kind of gates (being able to either make them from iron or obsidian for example) to make some looks special, and better fitting with their location.
- Count the stargate and the DHD as two different structures, so the DHD would bind to the nearest stargate, instead of alway being in front of it (or allow it to not be exactly in front of the stargate, or not always at the same distance, because it creates a lot of constrainsts when building).
- Make the cost to travel to another dimension different for every single one (or a cost per world).
- Make a cost to create the stargate itself, or for the first activation.

I just installed the plugin on my 1.14.4 server. The creation of the doors work well. I arrive without problem to connect 2 doors. If I throw an object, it happens to the other door. If I'm on a mount, she goes too. But the player always dies right away with the following message:
[Stargate] You were dematerialized by the KAWOOOOOOSH! Do not stay so close next time.
I disable all other plugins to make sure there is no interference, but the problem remains.
If you have an idea of what might be a problem ...

I identified the problem. it's in the plugin-code. I tried to make the kawoosh kill players, but now the event horizon is killing to.
I will eliminate the problem soon and release a bug-fix-version 0.77.
meanwhile, please use the second-last version! 0.75 should do fine.
EDIT: I just uploaded the new v.0.77. It's processing and after approved, should be available tomorrow.

Posted Sep 23, 2019Hey there, I can't seem to get the rings to work. I did as EkimNosredna said & got the [Rings] part on the signs to turn yellow, but it keeps doing nothing. I right click the sign & nothing happens, I left click it & nothing happens... I'm at a loss. Is there a limitation to how far rings must be from each other vertically? Because I have something like 43 blocks between the rings.
I'm using the latest version (0.75) on Spigot 1.14.4. Thanks in advance for any help. :)

Ok, so I tried to make some Stargates instead of rings & I can't get right click to work on my server... I downloaded the show world & updated it to MPGates 0.75 on Spigot 1.14.4 & Stargates work just fine there. So all I can guess is that I have another plugin interfering with MPGates on my server. Sorry for incorrectly saying it was your plugin.

Well... It wasn't a plugin conflict at all. It's that I was using spruce signs when MPGates apparently only accepts oak signs. Is there any way the plugin could be made to work with all other types of wood signs as well? I'd love to be able to keep with an aesthetic I've chosen for an area. :)

thanks for the hint, i will update the plugin, so every sign will be accepted. The plugin origins from a time, where only one kind of sign existed... Thats the reason.
To your other questions: There is no limit of range. The rings work from bedrock to the end of the world.
did you manage to make everythin work at the end? if you need help, just reply to my post. i was in hollidays, but now im back ;-)

Yeah, I got it working, though the rings didn't want to work with each other when too far apart vertically still. I got them working within about 7 vertical blocks of each other.

Hey mate,
it lasted a bit longer, but finally its done!
I updated the plugin to 0.76, and this version accepts not only the OAK_WALL_SIGN but all new kinds of Signs like BIRCH and so on.
This will make it easyer to beginners to get the right setup for their rings/gates and also give the aesthetes among you more options :-)
The kawoosh still does not desintegrate, thats bit more difficult but still on my checklist ;-)

The Rings do work on the latest CB. The image on the website shows the block with the sign too close... for reference for others see below; Hope it translates well... I'm trying to get an image posted somewhere showing my servers example but it might be a bit.

Posted Aug 25, 2019The KAWHOOSH doesn't dematerialize players. Is there any way to set up a *free* interdimensional StarGate? I have to set it to AIR, 0 as a workaround but I'm pretty sure players with full inventories won't be able to use such gate.

if you want the interdimensional Transportation for free, you can replace the "DIAMOND, 1" in the mpgatesConfig-File to "none".
It should be like this:
RingDistance: 0 #Offset Sign to Ringtransporter
InterWorldConnectionCosts: none #ItemID, amount
NetworkTeleportUnallowedPlayers: 1
I just tested it and its working.
The Kawoosh doesnt kill. That feature is not implemented yet but on my todolist for tomorrow ;-)

Ah, thanks. Make sure that the KAWOOSH-killing mechanic could be toggled for each entity(I don't want items to be disintegrated normally but I'd like to see it happen so disintegrating items should be togglable). Also maybe adding an option for Just remove entities in the front of stargate while kawooshing? For example, if a Creeper is being kawooshed, it will just disappear, dropping nothing.

yes the rings are working at the newest version, just like in older versions.

Also, can you confirm the default materials of 44,0 and 98,3 are:
44,0: Stone Slab
98,3: Chiseled Stone Bricks

In your Plugin-folder is a config.txt-file. There are the two lines:
"RingMaterial: SMOOTH_STONE_SLAB,0 #MaterialID,ByteData
RingGroundMaterial: CHISELED_STONE_BRICKS,3 #MaterialID,ByteData"
If it sounds otherwise, please delete the config-file and restart the server/plugin to create a new and clean config-file.
I hope this helps.
