As most of you have already worked out, public support for this project has been non existent. Unfortunately with the workload of trying to manage and run a server network where minigames is only 1 out of what feels like 1000 projects we maintain... It gets hard trying to find time to help everyone.
But fear not this project is indeed not abandoned! We have moved the project to SpigotMC:

Please Note I have provided updated downloads for all versions back to 1.7 .. We are trying to get some idea of what versions people are running still and what we need to focus on...updating will help us target our product improvements.

Minigames is a plugin in which users can create and play several types of Minigames on a server, without the risk of losing items or XP when they die. Players can also use checkpoints so when they die, they are reverted back to that position.
The Possible Minigame types are:
- Single Player - for jump puzzles, mazes etc.
- Last Man Standing - A multiplayer Free for All (FFA) PvP Minigame
- Race - A Multiplayer race Minigame
- Team Deathmatch - A deathmatch round against 2 teams, first to a defined score wins!
- Deathmatch - A free for all deathmatch round against any predefined amount of players, first to a defined score wins!
- Spleef - Its possible to create custom Spleef arenas, as well as your standard spleef arena.
- Treasure Hunt - A global treasure finding Minigame that is always running
- CTF - An expansion to the Team Deathmatch Minigame.
- Infection - An expansion to the Team Deathmatch Minigame where the infected players must kill all survivors.

Purpose:
Minigames was created for players to play games within a server and win prizes for completion, also to let players play PvP games without the risk of losing their hard earned items and XP. Minigames also reward players for completing each Minigame, or with PvP Minigames, the player can be rewarded with 'bets' that players make before they start the Minigame. These bets can be in Economy money or preset items.
These Minigames can be created in any style the player wishes, for example, parkour jump puzzles, mazes and treasure hunts. As well as PvP games like CTF, races and more. You are given a lot of options to add to each Minigame individually, so they are all completely customisable.

Metrics
This plugin utilizes Hidendra's plugin metrics system, which means that the following information is collected and sent to mcstats.org:
- A unique identifier
- The server's version of Java
- Whether the server is in offline or online mode
- The plugin's version
- The server's version
- The OS version/name and architecture
- The core count for the CPU
- The number of players online
- The Metrics version
- And the amount of players playing games. Opting out of this service can be done by editing plugins/Plugin Metrics/config.yml and changing opt-out to true.

Posted Mar 9, 2013It took them 3 days to finally tell me this bug, and its a important one that I have to rollback to previous version.
I have all my games in another world, that way I can disable all the Faction related power/pvp issues.
But apparently when they lose/die in LMS (spleef) they actually come back to the main world and die there.
That's why the deathchest issue occurred, but now they are losing faction power as well. :(

Oh interesting, that shouldn't cause an error... Anyone complaining about being left in a Minigame when they join?

Its in place to stop spawn killing. Because of my slow internet I get considerable lag when I respawn, I can't be the only one who gets this. Its there to stop people sitting in the spawn area killing anyone who spawns without them even having a chance to fight back.
As for the block dropping thing, are you using an item that allows a block to drop and are you sure its actually set to true? "/mgm info War"

Posted Mar 9, 2013Hey, could you add a feature to stop the respawn-protection? Or a "/mg set" value for how much time after the protection run away? Or just fix it? Because, a Respawn-Protected player can hurt others, but no one can hurt him. That Sucks :/
Or is there already an option for that? I found nothing..

EDIT: When I use /mg set War (My minigame) blocksdrop true, it tells everything is okay, but when I start playing, the Blocks don't drop anything. I have true(Block-Thingies): Blockdrop Blockbreak

Not yet. I will do that though.
I knew the tagAPI wasn't supported. I'm not making compatibility for it yet due to 1.5 having team colours. Hopefully when bukkit implements it as well it'll make things easier. If they do, colouring names will become a lot easier and the tagAPI will probably not be needed.
However if bukkit doesn't implement it, I'll make support for it (will probably make support for it anyway, people are still bound to use it). I still don't want to force players to have to download another plugin just to use this one though so I will still be doing my own way for team colours.

Posted Mar 8, 2013Im sorry if this is documented somewhere but I couldn't find it. Is it possible to join a certain color team with a sign? So we can do assigned teams instead of randomly assigned?
Also after rebooting server the paintball arena issues I was having cleared up.
Lastly, I removed BattleNight which used TagAPI and now red/blue names works for minigames. So there was definitely a conflict with TagAPI in which minigames lost. Now in paintball sometimes a persons color tag goes from blue/red to white then back to their color. Not sure if it's a real problem or not. You might want to consider using TagAPI as it is very standardized and a lot of plugins are utilizing it, and you could get your plugin listed on the tagapi devbukkit page.
This is the best plugin! I'm slowly replacing a combination of other plugins to only use this one. Thank you for all your hard work, when I have some extra money I feel a donation is in order!

In deathmatch, if someone commits suicide them and their team loses a point now. Its to stop players from just killing people then killing themselves when their health is low. I'll look into the loadout thing, haven't had it happen myself yet.

Posted Mar 8, 2013Team dethmatch is also bugging for me. when a user is given a kit it works but when items are used (eg a sword) it will dissapear but splashpotions are infinate also

Posted Mar 8, 2013Alright, I'm running on the March 4 update and something really weird is going on. In a team deathmatch game we have, the loadout is given when it starts, when players die though, they get stuff from other minigames they played before. The score is acting all wrong as well. At one point it had one team at -1 and in the same game, the score went from 3 to 4 then to 5 then back to 4. Here's a screenshot of that: http://imgur.com/o5OzxaX

_Razz_ u made a very nice plugin and helped me to fix my errors, but today i made a mistake ... updated the plugin to the latest version( only replacing jar.) and after ppls started to play like crazy all the arenas y have on server (24 parkours, 1 lms,1ctf,2tdm,1spleef) the server tps got down and server crashed.. no error on console , only map error (have separate map with all the arenas, with join cartels on another map). right now i deleted the map(saved the schematic for arenas)deleted full minigames , and sunday gonna start again from 0. I just pray that everething will work well after i set em up again with the new version.
PS:i did various restarts before i deleted the plugin(every time server crashed when ppls started to play mgm arenas :( ) now without it works fine... but no more games:(

It's the custom death messages overwriting it. It makes its own and removes the original. Though by the looks of it, the stuff you have there is gonna be in vanilla in 1.5 anyway.
