As most of you have already worked out, public support for this project has been non existent. Unfortunately with the workload of trying to manage and run a server network where minigames is only 1 out of what feels like 1000 projects we maintain... It gets hard trying to find time to help everyone.
But fear not this project is indeed not abandoned! We have moved the project to SpigotMC:

Please Note I have provided updated downloads for all versions back to 1.7 .. We are trying to get some idea of what versions people are running still and what we need to focus on...updating will help us target our product improvements.

Minigames is a plugin in which users can create and play several types of Minigames on a server, without the risk of losing items or XP when they die. Players can also use checkpoints so when they die, they are reverted back to that position.
The Possible Minigame types are:
- Single Player - for jump puzzles, mazes etc.
- Last Man Standing - A multiplayer Free for All (FFA) PvP Minigame
- Race - A Multiplayer race Minigame
- Team Deathmatch - A deathmatch round against 2 teams, first to a defined score wins!
- Deathmatch - A free for all deathmatch round against any predefined amount of players, first to a defined score wins!
- Spleef - Its possible to create custom Spleef arenas, as well as your standard spleef arena.
- Treasure Hunt - A global treasure finding Minigame that is always running
- CTF - An expansion to the Team Deathmatch Minigame.
- Infection - An expansion to the Team Deathmatch Minigame where the infected players must kill all survivors.

Purpose:
Minigames was created for players to play games within a server and win prizes for completion, also to let players play PvP games without the risk of losing their hard earned items and XP. Minigames also reward players for completing each Minigame, or with PvP Minigames, the player can be rewarded with 'bets' that players make before they start the Minigame. These bets can be in Economy money or preset items.
These Minigames can be created in any style the player wishes, for example, parkour jump puzzles, mazes and treasure hunts. As well as PvP games like CTF, races and more. You are given a lot of options to add to each Minigame individually, so they are all completely customisable.

Metrics
This plugin utilizes Hidendra's plugin metrics system, which means that the following information is collected and sent to mcstats.org:
- A unique identifier
- The server's version of Java
- Whether the server is in offline or online mode
- The plugin's version
- The server's version
- The OS version/name and architecture
- The core count for the CPU
- The number of players online
- The Metrics version
- And the amount of players playing games. Opting out of this service can be done by editing plugins/Plugin Metrics/config.yml and changing opt-out to true.

Posted Mar 6, 2013I've found a big cheating-thingy (maybe Bug?)
If someone joins from my creative World a minigame an then quit it, he get teleported to the Survival-world (quit and end position), and he has all of his items of the Creative-World! Thats very annoying.. Same if I do the teleport-point (end, quit) to my creative world! They have their inventories from Survival in creative (not as bad as it can be) but in the survival world itself, they hace a clear inventory.
Have anyone a tipp for me? Otherwises, I have to stop the MiniGames Plugin on my Server, and this would suck.

I used my own system to colour names. Its exactly the same as the TagAPI's one but not compatible with it. (Plus its probably changing again by 1.5, which is why I haven't already)

Posted Mar 5, 2013One quesiton. Just started setting up Paintball, CTF and Team Deathmatch arenas. It's hard to tell who is on who's team. Could you use TagAPI and give color names? Some other arena plugins I utilize uses this and I think it works well.

Yus, equip the items in your own inventory and use:
/mgm set <Minigame> loadout add ME [-l LoadoutName]
I'll probably add SLOT as a parameter to get the selected slot item though.

HeroChat, no spam of errors! :)
It did introduce an odd bug with Deathchests from: (http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/deathbukkit).
After losing/dying in Spleef they spawn a chest at the end location.

Posted Mar 5, 2013Whats the command to regen the floor in spleef? there used to be one .. but i cant find it.
it seems as it wont regenerate after game ends .. randomly, cant trace it to restarts etc.
I have tried any of the new stuff either, will do later tonight tho :)

Posted Mar 4, 2013I have noticed a pretty major problem with this plugin. The problem is that one cannot give a player 10+ items as a reward for completing a minigame. For example, I tried to set the primary and secondary reward for a PVP minigame to 20 XP Bottles. It found 20 as an unknown number and resorted to 1. Please fix this so that I can give 10+ items to players for completing a given minigame.

I'm using build 2626 which is developmental, should I be using 2624 instead? The error it gives me in chat is "An internal error occurred while attempting to perform this command." and in the console I get this message directly after using the command:

First guess is that you have a bukkit dev build or you typed the command incorrectly. Also, without the internal error, your comment doesn't help either of us.
