As most of you have already worked out, public support for this project has been non existent. Unfortunately with the workload of trying to manage and run a server network where minigames is only 1 out of what feels like 1000 projects we maintain... It gets hard trying to find time to help everyone.
But fear not this project is indeed not abandoned! We have moved the project to SpigotMC:

Please Note I have provided updated downloads for all versions back to 1.7 .. We are trying to get some idea of what versions people are running still and what we need to focus on...updating will help us target our product improvements.

Minigames is a plugin in which users can create and play several types of Minigames on a server, without the risk of losing items or XP when they die. Players can also use checkpoints so when they die, they are reverted back to that position.
The Possible Minigame types are:
- Single Player - for jump puzzles, mazes etc.
- Last Man Standing - A multiplayer Free for All (FFA) PvP Minigame
- Race - A Multiplayer race Minigame
- Team Deathmatch - A deathmatch round against 2 teams, first to a defined score wins!
- Deathmatch - A free for all deathmatch round against any predefined amount of players, first to a defined score wins!
- Spleef - Its possible to create custom Spleef arenas, as well as your standard spleef arena.
- Treasure Hunt - A global treasure finding Minigame that is always running
- CTF - An expansion to the Team Deathmatch Minigame.
- Infection - An expansion to the Team Deathmatch Minigame where the infected players must kill all survivors.

Purpose:
Minigames was created for players to play games within a server and win prizes for completion, also to let players play PvP games without the risk of losing their hard earned items and XP. Minigames also reward players for completing each Minigame, or with PvP Minigames, the player can be rewarded with 'bets' that players make before they start the Minigame. These bets can be in Economy money or preset items.
These Minigames can be created in any style the player wishes, for example, parkour jump puzzles, mazes and treasure hunts. As well as PvP games like CTF, races and more. You are given a lot of options to add to each Minigame individually, so they are all completely customisable.

Metrics
This plugin utilizes Hidendra's plugin metrics system, which means that the following information is collected and sent to mcstats.org:
- A unique identifier
- The server's version of Java
- Whether the server is in offline or online mode
- The plugin's version
- The server's version
- The OS version/name and architecture
- The core count for the CPU
- The number of players online
- The Metrics version
- And the amount of players playing games. Opting out of this service can be done by editing plugins/Plugin Metrics/config.yml and changing opt-out to true.

Posted Jan 23, 2013Please help! I just got this plugin but dont know how to use it :{ Im using it most for Spleef and Parkour. But don't know HOW TO SET UP SPLEEF!! The tutorials of text are hard to understand and i cant select the snow, or how do i do it?!?!!? Can some one please help me or set it up on my server?

I don't think you understand my new system, ANYTHING broken in a minigame is regened when the game ends. No need to assign any block. Watch the tutorial above, I explain it all in there

I bet you guys aren't using 1.4.7. Thats my new protection feature to stop the whole plugin from breaking.

Can you pvp anywhere else in the world? Nothing can overwrite a world not having PVP enabled. This is set up in your server configs.

You can select a large region, I did a 3 floor Spleef setup. :D
I need to go build a nice arena for it now...its in a plain box -.-
It's the same as World Edit in a sense where you do pos1 and pos2.
Just do the same with the MG commands for point 1 and 2.
Make sure to also add them to the white/black list how ever you plan on configuring it.

Posted Jan 23, 2013Now that you have changed the spleef there isnt a way of making the floor regen unless you stand on each and ever block and make a restore block. Not only that.. It would be useful if you could select a large area to restore instead of going block by block.

Posted Jan 23, 2013Do neutral flags not function in a DM arena? Because if not, that would be unfortunate. I have a "flag" sign in a DM map but I can't right or left click on it to any effect.

Posted Jan 23, 2013So... this is shot-in-the-head blatantly obvious, and since no one else is reporting it, I assume it must only be me having this problem. But 'teamdm' 'tdm' 'teamdeathmatch' etc are no longer valid gamemodes. So, the 'team deathmatch' mode was removed from the plugin, eh?
Additionally, my players are reporting that "if you kill yourself with a splash potion (while in a DM mini-game), you get 1 point."

Posted Jan 23, 2013Great update, thanks for the new automatic loadouts for team deathmatch, realy awesome :)
but got one issue, and i can't figure it out in TDM, players cant hit each other from oposing teams, i have changed the mode to kills, and gamemode to survival and adventure, but they can't kill each other, more having this? or is it just me. PVP is also turned on in the worldguard zone.

Posted Jan 23, 2013Minigames was declined due to the update checker not being togglable. Kinda stupid that you have to have a setting on it when its only receiving data, but oh well. Uploading a new version (Exactly the same) but with a toggle in the config.

I'll be doing a LTM (Last Team Standing) eventually, it'll be interesting doing a team spleef. Also, the possibility to do awkwardly shaped floors is a bonus :)

I don't think I'm allowed to, they do the approval thing to stop bad plugins that steal data and such. However if someone else posts it I won't care too much, just me posting it would look a bit dodgy.

Like having a 1% chance to win a fully enchanted set of armor .. otherwize you would get like 1 diamond or something

Please be careful with spectate, so many plugins get it wrong and people end up losing inventory all the time.
Something simple would be spectate lobby (area) like mob arena, instead of spectating the actual players and switching through them.

People post it all the time, sometimes its bad cause they do a last minute change and pull the file then your stuck with possible bugs.

1. Ok, I'll take a look, but I think the permissions are working fine for me.
2. May be a good idea. I'll see if I can work that in in later versions.
3. I've thought about it, but didn't think it was possible? I guess I'll look into that too.

Ok, yes the spleef arena will repair itself after a game (I also recommend changeing blockdrop to false). Yes, I did make it not respond to world guard protection, just make a region around the floor that allows people to break it.
Back to title screen should have restored the players inventory anyway, the fact that it didn't when you tried the command proves that it did (Well, tried to.). I did extensive checks on inventory restoring and it all appeared to be working fine.
