As most of you have already worked out, public support for this project has been non existent. Unfortunately with the workload of trying to manage and run a server network where minigames is only 1 out of what feels like 1000 projects we maintain... It gets hard trying to find time to help everyone.
But fear not this project is indeed not abandoned! We have moved the project to SpigotMC:

Please Note I have provided updated downloads for all versions back to 1.7 .. We are trying to get some idea of what versions people are running still and what we need to focus on...updating will help us target our product improvements.

Minigames is a plugin in which users can create and play several types of Minigames on a server, without the risk of losing items or XP when they die. Players can also use checkpoints so when they die, they are reverted back to that position.
The Possible Minigame types are:
- Single Player - for jump puzzles, mazes etc.
- Last Man Standing - A multiplayer Free for All (FFA) PvP Minigame
- Race - A Multiplayer race Minigame
- Team Deathmatch - A deathmatch round against 2 teams, first to a defined score wins!
- Deathmatch - A free for all deathmatch round against any predefined amount of players, first to a defined score wins!
- Spleef - Its possible to create custom Spleef arenas, as well as your standard spleef arena.
- Treasure Hunt - A global treasure finding Minigame that is always running
- CTF - An expansion to the Team Deathmatch Minigame.
- Infection - An expansion to the Team Deathmatch Minigame where the infected players must kill all survivors.

Purpose:
Minigames was created for players to play games within a server and win prizes for completion, also to let players play PvP games without the risk of losing their hard earned items and XP. Minigames also reward players for completing each Minigame, or with PvP Minigames, the player can be rewarded with 'bets' that players make before they start the Minigame. These bets can be in Economy money or preset items.
These Minigames can be created in any style the player wishes, for example, parkour jump puzzles, mazes and treasure hunts. As well as PvP games like CTF, races and more. You are given a lot of options to add to each Minigame individually, so they are all completely customisable.

Metrics
This plugin utilizes Hidendra's plugin metrics system, which means that the following information is collected and sent to mcstats.org:
- A unique identifier
- The server's version of Java
- Whether the server is in offline or online mode
- The plugin's version
- The server's version
- The OS version/name and architecture
- The core count for the CPU
- The number of players online
- The Metrics version
- And the amount of players playing games. Opting out of this service can be done by editing plugins/Plugin Metrics/config.yml and changing opt-out to true.

Posted Jan 22, 2013Thanks for the update. So for spleef, will the snow no longer repair itself? I did delete my spleef game and set it up as the new way ( see this album of the settings: http://imgur.com/a/gXMox ) . Also, even though I set blockbreak true, it still wont allow them to break the blocks. The area is protected by worldguard, but in previous MiniGame versions, when the game started, it would override the worldguard settings and still break the blocks. Was this changed?
Second, the restoreinv thing, it doesn't give the message, but it also didn't restore the items of a player who left the game midway through, when they tried to respawn, they accidentally clicked to go to Title Screen. So I ran the restoreinv command when they came back and no luck :P

Posted Jan 22, 2013Great update, I got a couple of questions/suggestions
1. For some reason players are not getting the default permissions, to remedy this I had to add to add the permission nodes to the permissions list,
2. Can players join even after the game has started, this is useful in TDM and DM and when the score is set to kills
3. It would be great if you could add a spectate feature where players who are not playing can spectate through the eyes of another player, I know about the many spectate plugins out there but these allow players to spectate anyone not just players in a game
4. I know that you have rewards, can you also add a currency to the join sign to where players must pay a fee to play the game and the winner will get the set reward + the money that accumulated from the fees
5. Randomised restoreblocks (chests), what I mean by this is that I can add a bunch of items to a restoreblock and the game will choose what items to put in the chest when the game has started. This is useful because players cant keep going to the same chest which they know contains good items

Well I will find out before the weekend, keeping a backup of my old folder.
Most should probably do that if there is so much change in this version.
Also wow 250kb, this puppy is getting big I see..I remember when it was barely 100kb. Hope your able to keep it optimized and not a big resource hog. :)

Posted Jan 22, 2013TeamDeathMatch is not a recognized minigame type in 1.4.0. As soon as I got the update I rushed to the minigames world to make my CTF game, made the game, typed /minigame set CTF type TDM, and I was told that it was not a valid minigame type. I even used /mgm set CTF type to make sure I hadn't spelled it wrong, but nothing TDM-related came up.
Edit: Nevermind, I restarted the server again and it works fine now. Odd...

Posted Jan 22, 2013Thanks for posting it so quicky, most of my games (including deathmatch) are up and running already. Only one's I still need to fix myself are Spleef and Team deathmatch, I'm sure I'll have them working in no time :)
Loving the new scoretype, and the ability to set a game timer.
One oddity .... Game type: dm Score type: kills Enabled: true Game Timer: 5 minutes.
Before the update, this was a 1v1 deathmatch that would stop at 6 kills due to what I had minscore and maxscore set at ... it still finishes at 6 kills, and says 6 kills when the game starts. But, nowhere in the 4 pages of /mgm info for that game is a minscore, maxscore, or a "kills" amount visible. It works, I'm happy, just thought I'd point it out.

Posted Jan 22, 2013Ok, Version 1.4.0 uploaded, may be a while to be approved. If you trust me enough you can find the link to the file yourself (or wait till someone posts it). Otherwise you can wait for it to be approved.
I've updated the commands page, its still messy, but has all the commands in there now. I've also updated the tutorial section to accommodate for what I've changed in spleef, its now an LMS game that you can set up as spleef. Please read it, I cannot stress that enough, the original game type will be removed as it is no longer necessary with the new setup.
I repeat! Read the tutorial page for how to fix spleef when 1.4.0 comes out! Watch the video above to see how to fix your team deathmatch and deathmatch games!

Go back to 1.4.6, as it isn't ready for that update.
I don't see the rush for 1.4.7 yet as a few plugins end up breaking and no real gain from updating other than saying your updated.

I cant use the commands /mgm anymore, and the signs also dont work. each time i do the command it says Invalid command. Type "/minigame help" for help. and when i do it it says the same.
Is it because the update from 1.4.7?
i really need help. Mine servers depends on you´re plugin.
