Minigames

== NOTICE == 9 Aug 2016 ==
As most of you have already worked out, public support for this project has been non existent. Unfortunately with the workload of trying to manage and run a server network where minigames is only 1 out of what feels like 1000 projects we maintain... It gets hard trying to find time to help everyone.
But fear not this project is indeed not abandoned! We have moved the project to SpigotMC:
https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/minigames.19687/
++Update Note Aug 2017++
Please Note I have provided updated downloads for all versions back to 1.7 .. We are trying to get some idea of what versions people are running still and what we need to focus on...updating will help us target our product improvements.
The files section contains various version downloads OR you can dowload them : - here
Minigames is a plugin in which users can create and play several types of Minigames on a server, without the risk of losing items or XP when they die. Players can also use checkpoints so when they die, they are reverted back to that position.
The Possible Minigame types are:
- Single Player - for jump puzzles, mazes etc.
- Last Man Standing - A multiplayer Free for All (FFA) PvP Minigame
- Race - A Multiplayer race Minigame
- Team Deathmatch - A deathmatch round against 2 teams, first to a defined score wins!
- Deathmatch - A free for all deathmatch round against any predefined amount of players, first to a defined score wins!
- Spleef - Its possible to create custom Spleef arenas, as well as your standard spleef arena.
- Treasure Hunt - A global treasure finding Minigame that is always running
- CTF - An expansion to the Team Deathmatch Minigame.
- Infection - An expansion to the Team Deathmatch Minigame where the infected players must kill all survivors.
Features:
- Prizes for completing a Minigame
- Economy support (Requires Vault)
- All command configuration for creating Minigames
- Completely customisable, lots of settings to create your own styled Minigame.
- Ability to create multiple loadouts
- Inventory saving
- XP saving
- Minigame regeneration (slightly limited)
- Timers
- An automated update checker for OP's (Can be turned off in the main config by setting updateChecker to false)
- SQL completion data storage for websites or more informative data (Requires SQLibrary)
- And lots more!
Click here for videos of this plugin in action.
Purpose:
Minigames was created for players to play games within a server and win prizes for completion, also to let players play PvP games without the risk of losing their hard earned items and XP. Minigames also reward players for completing each Minigame, or with PvP Minigames, the player can be rewarded with 'bets' that players make before they start the Minigame. These bets can be in Economy money or preset items.
These Minigames can be created in any style the player wishes, for example, parkour jump puzzles, mazes and treasure hunts. As well as PvP games like CTF, races and more. You are given a lot of options to add to each Minigame individually, so they are all completely customisable.

Metrics
This plugin utilizes Hidendra's plugin metrics system, which means that the following information is collected and sent to mcstats.org:
- A unique identifier
- The server's version of Java
- Whether the server is in offline or online mode
- The plugin's version
- The server's version
- The OS version/name and architecture
- The core count for the CPU
- The number of players online
- The Metrics version
- And the amount of players playing games. Opting out of this service can be done by editing plugins/Plugin Metrics/config.yml and changing opt-out to true.

What issue are you having?
@n00bsaus
As far as I know this was fixed in 1.6.2 "Players are now invincible while in a Minigame lobby."
Please read the changelog.

Posted Apr 5, 2014So, was my ticket for the serious, game-breaking bug of friendlyfire being enabled, just deleted, and my comment ignored? That's cool. Not like friendly fire isn't causing the games to be broken and players to leave my server. Carry on.

OK, I understand... Will just put up a rule on the server to never teleport to arenas on their own.

Posted Apr 5, 2014@xbenas I wouldn't say closed-minded as there is only one dev (Razz) for this plugin, so ALL the responsibilities fall on him. For for a plugin of this size, I would imagine there would be a lot to handle. From basic designing/coding, to bugs and tickets, so I'm not surprised every ticket is answered right away, there will be tickets that aren't answered but I don't thinks its cause Razz is closed-minded but simply he prioritizing his list of things to do. And answering isn't on the top, but I would say he does view as I have seen tickets for bugs being fixed.

Yes, please refer to this image.

Armour slots are on the bottom. I have all my loadouts setup with the armour in the armour slots and they equipped perfectly.

Posted Apr 4, 2014Thank you, and I was wondering why the loadout doesn't automatically equip the armor? Is there something I'm doing wrong?

Posted Apr 4, 2014@trevor1097 No, not to my knowledge.
@trevor1097 You could but this won't effect the items in the loadout only who can use it. You would need to make 2 globalloadouts, 1 for red with red armour and the same thing for blue, this way each team will have armour there the correct color.

Posted Apr 4, 2014Is there a way to set a king of hill type game, so that you have to be in a certain zone to win the game or a timer type thing? Or something like this

If you name the loadouts red and one blue it should set them as the team specific loadouts

Kinda, theres no way to give default armour died the color of their team, but there is a work around.
Use Global Loadouts, make 1 loadout for red with red armour and blue with blue armour, how ever this will require you to place down loadout signs.

Look there, it shows you how to add armour and have it auto equip when a loadout is equipped.

Posted Apr 4, 2014Is it possible to give only the blue team blue armor and the red team red armor? Like set loadouts for specific teams?

Theres to options,
1. Open config.yml and edit,
multiplayer: waitforplayers: (Number in Seconds)
This will change the wait time for all your Mini-Games.
2. To /Mg Edit [Name] - Edit ''Start Wait Time"
...
The only issue I have with this is if you change the start wait time per game, when the min players the first count down start, which will be the waitforplayers: x, then the the wait time you edited per game. So essentially you'll have two countdowns. So a work around would be to edit the config to 0 and edit each games wait time to you liking.

You can only set multiple spawn in multi player, single player games this has no effect.
/minigame set NameofGame start 1 (or 2 or 3) if teams /minigame set NameofGame start red 1 (or 2 or 3) /minigame set NameofGame start blue 1 (or 2 or 3)

Posted Apr 3, 2014thanx yaitsbilly I will try that for the tresurehunt game. Is there a way to increase the start time to the minigames? Half the time people cant join if they all dont click the sign at the same time. It Only gives you 5 seconds to join then it starts 5 seconds after that.

I'm afraid not, timers only work for multiplayer games.

Posted Apr 3, 2014@StanoMalek I have been using this plugin for over a year now, and I haven't seen this error. How do you have your games setup? And are they in different worlds? Seems like this would be an error conflicting with another plugin, and not Mg it self.
@gwinny7 Single players games, /Mg Set [Name] start 1 Multiplayer games, /Mg Server [Name] Start Blue/Red 1
The number represents the spawn, so spawn 1, spawn 2 and so forth. If you have more players then spawns they will still spawn on the same spawn, but they will be divided out evenly. IE: On top of each other.
