As most of you have already worked out, public support for this project has been non existent. Unfortunately with the workload of trying to manage and run a server network where minigames is only 1 out of what feels like 1000 projects we maintain... It gets hard trying to find time to help everyone.
But fear not this project is indeed not abandoned! We have moved the project to SpigotMC:

Please Note I have provided updated downloads for all versions back to 1.7 .. We are trying to get some idea of what versions people are running still and what we need to focus on...updating will help us target our product improvements.

Minigames is a plugin in which users can create and play several types of Minigames on a server, without the risk of losing items or XP when they die. Players can also use checkpoints so when they die, they are reverted back to that position.
The Possible Minigame types are:
- Single Player - for jump puzzles, mazes etc.
- Last Man Standing - A multiplayer Free for All (FFA) PvP Minigame
- Race - A Multiplayer race Minigame
- Team Deathmatch - A deathmatch round against 2 teams, first to a defined score wins!
- Deathmatch - A free for all deathmatch round against any predefined amount of players, first to a defined score wins!
- Spleef - Its possible to create custom Spleef arenas, as well as your standard spleef arena.
- Treasure Hunt - A global treasure finding Minigame that is always running
- CTF - An expansion to the Team Deathmatch Minigame.
- Infection - An expansion to the Team Deathmatch Minigame where the infected players must kill all survivors.

Purpose:
Minigames was created for players to play games within a server and win prizes for completion, also to let players play PvP games without the risk of losing their hard earned items and XP. Minigames also reward players for completing each Minigame, or with PvP Minigames, the player can be rewarded with 'bets' that players make before they start the Minigame. These bets can be in Economy money or preset items.
These Minigames can be created in any style the player wishes, for example, parkour jump puzzles, mazes and treasure hunts. As well as PvP games like CTF, races and more. You are given a lot of options to add to each Minigame individually, so they are all completely customisable.

Metrics
This plugin utilizes Hidendra's plugin metrics system, which means that the following information is collected and sent to mcstats.org:
- A unique identifier
- The server's version of Java
- Whether the server is in offline or online mode
- The plugin's version
- The server's version
- The OS version/name and architecture
- The core count for the CPU
- The number of players online
- The Metrics version
- And the amount of players playing games. Opting out of this service can be done by editing plugins/Plugin Metrics/config.yml and changing opt-out to true.

Posted Jan 16, 2014Is there a way to make the miniganes work in 2 worlds? For me it only works in one world.
@Thirshaatheart maybe it think the minigame you are trying to use is in single player mode. because that way when the player joins it would teleport him right to the game (because there is no one to wait for) and there would be no end without a finish sign. I am having similar problem where i set the minigame to teams but about a half hour after it gets set back to a single player game.

Posted Jan 15, 2014Having an issue where my players are NOT teleported to the lobby, and when they finish the game they are NOT teleported to the lobby again. I have checked the sign permissions are all the same. It is also important to note that this function DID work before but has now since stopped.

So I tried to fix the problem by placing the last level higher above the lava to make sure the blocks don't melt. But that method did not work. The blocks are just degenerating after the match is done, and not stopping.

We had a problem similar on the server I play on. Was nothing to do with Minigames and we still aren't 100% sure why it happened. Hasn't happened since though. Some of the probable causes we found were either a bug in WorldGuard or an issue with the server (try updating both if you can). But I can 100% say that its definitely not Minigames causing the issue, I don't modify blocks at all, all i do is place them back once the game is over.
@Infiniboom
You can name them via a separate plugin and add them to the rewards via the edit menu. It should work that way, but if it doesn't keep the name or something, let me know. Also, you can add suggestions to the tickets page, its a bit easier for me to keep track of there. As for your idea for mob scoring, already on my update checklist :) (Its quite a long checklist...)

Posted Jan 14, 2014@Infiniboom Did you try adding the item through /mg edit <name> ; you can add an item to the reward list that you created from your inventory. I added enchanted books to my minigames using the /mg edit <name> ; I would assume you can rename an item and add it the same way.
@Theepwner I suggest raising the snow from the lava to where its not in the melting distance.

Posted Jan 14, 2014Not to comment TO much but, is there a way to name an item rewarded to the player? Such as I want to name the items my players get to be 'Token' or related to make it feel more like its something of worth. (And not to confuse them if they skip the beginning tutorial part) If there isn't a way to do so, would it be considered to be implemented later as an option?

Posted Jan 14, 2014I'm not sure where to post ideas, but for the sake of this first one I'll put it here then you can tell me where to put the others.
So here is the idea: Adding Mob Kills to the score types. I have some ideas for games but it requires Mobs to be apart of the score, as an example of one is that you have a time limit and try to see who kills the most Mobs. Maybe allow certain mobs to have worth of more points than others, but its just an idea that would be cool for a game this plugin could do... Not necessarily a Mob Arena or anything...

The problem is that the last level above the lava is melting/breaking. I do not understand because the blocks only start to melt after the minigame is played. After the arena regens, it doesn't regen the blocks that the lava somehow melted. World guard is not the issue here because I set snow-melt to deny.

Posted Jan 14, 2014@Theepwner My spleef works fine, what types of issues are you having? Any blocks a person interacts with while in the game, gets automatically reset at the end of each game.
@_Razz_ Its not messaging me any no cheat plus messages such as 'User: tried to fly' nothing like that, I just tested it on an alt, I go to double jump to activate the fly and it doesn't work, but it does on my op account.

I'm really not sure. There are a couple things that are 1.7.2 specific, mainly in the edit menu (new items). But other than that it may probably work. Give it a try on a local test server or something.

That would make some sense, no one being in those chunks would unload them and then the minigames would try to regenerate those unloaded chunks, that would probably be the issue, I'll have to move my minigames main area, thanks.
By the way, I'm still having issues with the spectatefly. It lets me(op) but my players try to and it doesn't work. Would it maybe be because in the server properties I have fly disabled? Or possibly nocheatplus? Thanks again in advance.

Thats a bit weird. Our spleef is working just fine, even with the degenerator. Try setting the degenerator again and see if that works (Try using the Minigame Tool as well). If its still acting up get back to me.

Sounds like you have lives set to 1. Set it back to 0.
You need to stop the server entirely to change values in the main Config. Just a little bug I gotta fix.
@Conzine
Are you teleporting the players between worlds? If so, its not recommended to do that, try to keep joining/quitting/ending all in one world.

Posted Jan 13, 2014After updating this plugin all of my spleef minigames are acting up. The top floor is regenerating after each spleef match is finished, but the bottom floor isn't? Also I noticed how the block degen is only affecting the bottom floor? How do i disable block degen?

Posted Jan 12, 2014Anyone else having trouble with spleef minigames.
I have a blockwhitelist set for snow_block and I have block breaking set to true in the player settings.
The game works fine for OP players, but non-OP players cannot break the snow blocks.
It's like there is a permission, but I don't see anything when i look at the permissions.
Any ideas?
Edit: Nevermind, my brain must of stopped working for a second. I had the game built to close to spawn :).

I'm going to host a mcpc plus server, but the supported bukkit version is CB 1.6.4. Can I use the latest build for 1.7 or must I use the latest build on jenkins before the change to 1.7 ?
