As most of you have already worked out, public support for this project has been non existent. Unfortunately with the workload of trying to manage and run a server network where minigames is only 1 out of what feels like 1000 projects we maintain... It gets hard trying to find time to help everyone.
But fear not this project is indeed not abandoned! We have moved the project to SpigotMC:

Please Note I have provided updated downloads for all versions back to 1.7 .. We are trying to get some idea of what versions people are running still and what we need to focus on...updating will help us target our product improvements.

Minigames is a plugin in which users can create and play several types of Minigames on a server, without the risk of losing items or XP when they die. Players can also use checkpoints so when they die, they are reverted back to that position.
The Possible Minigame types are:
- Single Player - for jump puzzles, mazes etc.
- Last Man Standing - A multiplayer Free for All (FFA) PvP Minigame
- Race - A Multiplayer race Minigame
- Team Deathmatch - A deathmatch round against 2 teams, first to a defined score wins!
- Deathmatch - A free for all deathmatch round against any predefined amount of players, first to a defined score wins!
- Spleef - Its possible to create custom Spleef arenas, as well as your standard spleef arena.
- Treasure Hunt - A global treasure finding Minigame that is always running
- CTF - An expansion to the Team Deathmatch Minigame.
- Infection - An expansion to the Team Deathmatch Minigame where the infected players must kill all survivors.

Purpose:
Minigames was created for players to play games within a server and win prizes for completion, also to let players play PvP games without the risk of losing their hard earned items and XP. Minigames also reward players for completing each Minigame, or with PvP Minigames, the player can be rewarded with 'bets' that players make before they start the Minigame. These bets can be in Economy money or preset items.
These Minigames can be created in any style the player wishes, for example, parkour jump puzzles, mazes and treasure hunts. As well as PvP games like CTF, races and more. You are given a lot of options to add to each Minigame individually, so they are all completely customisable.

Metrics
This plugin utilizes Hidendra's plugin metrics system, which means that the following information is collected and sent to mcstats.org:
- A unique identifier
- The server's version of Java
- Whether the server is in offline or online mode
- The plugin's version
- The server's version
- The OS version/name and architecture
- The core count for the CPU
- The number of players online
- The Metrics version
- And the amount of players playing games. Opting out of this service can be done by editing plugins/Plugin Metrics/config.yml and changing opt-out to true.

Posted Jul 15, 2013Could you add a setting to change team split % next update? I'd like to be able to set the amount of infected to 1 no matter how many players are there, also I'd probably make a tdm map for one team being larger.

Posted Jul 15, 2013I restarted my server and my minigame signs are still there and whatnot but when used, it says the minigame doesn't exist and when I use /mgm list, everything is still there. What the fuck is going on? This happens every damn time I restart my server.
When I try to delete the minigames from the list, nothing happens. No errors in console, and no messages returned in the chat log.

Posted Jul 14, 2013the randomize chests isn't working, I set it to true and then set it for min 4 items and max 15 but all chests are empty
this was the commands
/mgm set Forest randomizechests true
/mgm set Forest randomizechests 4 15
but all chests are empty, something I should do to make it work?

Try /mg set Swampinfection start red 1 and keep doing this for each red and blue player e.g. start red 1, start red 2, start blue 1, start blue 2, etc

1. I dont think there is a way of preventing them from dropping but you can disable players from picking them up, /mgm set minigamename itempickup false
2. Have you remembered to set the end and quit positions. Also check the lives is set to 1

Mhmm richarddarkless I forgot to set start point for each team, but when I try to set it with the command : /mg set SwampInfection start red (SwampInfection is the name of my minigame), the command doesn't seems to work, it gives me a command info...!$!/"%!?

Posted Jul 13, 2013Ok this is what I did to create my Infection Map
Created the minigame, set type to teamdm, set quit and end positions, set min players to 2, max players to 16, set scoretype to infection, set lobby position, set 3min timer, made a join sign, set blue default winner and enabled the minigame.
I tested the minigame with a friend, once the game started it kept saying 5 Kills to win GO!
And we couldn't move...
So yeah I think I'm missing something... Please help! :)

You could probably create this with the commands in game using death match. You could install TimTheEnchanter or something like that and give all players no armor and give them Bows with Punch 20 or other enchantments along with that so that they die in one hit. Meaning something like one in the chamber.
Or use the Paintball with this plugin and give them 3 lives each. < Paintball = One In The Chamber>
