As most of you have already worked out, public support for this project has been non existent. Unfortunately with the workload of trying to manage and run a server network where minigames is only 1 out of what feels like 1000 projects we maintain... It gets hard trying to find time to help everyone.
But fear not this project is indeed not abandoned! We have moved the project to SpigotMC:

Minigames is a plugin in which users can create and play several types of Minigames on a server, without the risk of losing items or XP when they die. Players can also use checkpoints so when they die, they are reverted back to that position.
The Possible Minigame types are:
- Single Player - for jump puzzles, mazes etc.
- Last Man Standing - A multiplayer Free for All (FFA) PvP Minigame
- Race - A Multiplayer race Minigame
- Team Deathmatch - A deathmatch round against 2 teams, first to a defined score wins!
- Deathmatch - A free for all deathmatch round against any predefined amount of players, first to a defined score wins!
- Spleef - Its possible to create custom Spleef arenas, as well as your standard spleef arena.
- Treasure Hunt - A global treasure finding Minigame that is always running
- CTF - An expansion to the Team Deathmatch Minigame.
- Infection - An expansion to the Team Deathmatch Minigame where the infected players must kill all survivors.

Purpose:
Minigames was created for players to play games within a server and win prizes for completion, also to let players play PvP games without the risk of losing their hard earned items and XP. Minigames also reward players for completing each Minigame, or with PvP Minigames, the player can be rewarded with 'bets' that players make before they start the Minigame. These bets can be in Economy money or preset items.
These Minigames can be created in any style the player wishes, for example, parkour jump puzzles, mazes and treasure hunts. As well as PvP games like CTF, races and more. You are given a lot of options to add to each Minigame individually, so they are all completely customisable.

Metrics
This plugin utilizes Hidendra's plugin metrics system, which means that the following information is collected and sent to mcstats.org:
- A unique identifier
- The server's version of Java
- Whether the server is in offline or online mode
- The plugin's version
- The server's version
- The OS version/name and architecture
- The core count for the CPU
- The number of players online
- The Metrics version
- And the amount of players playing games. Opting out of this service can be done by editing plugins/Plugin Metrics/config.yml and changing opt-out to true.

i have not done any potion effects yet, but for the loadouts equip yourself with the loadout and then create a new loadout with the loadout commands and for the items do self, for the sign make permissions for the signs, i believe they are listed under permissions, butthats the general idea, hope you will be able to get all the specifics on your own from here

Posted May 26, 2013Ok so I'm trying to make a death match thing and I want loadouts. These loadouts would be like Archer, Knight etc. with different items. How would I make it so these loadouts have different items and allow for players to click signs to get them.

Posted May 25, 2013For all ppl that want tnt spleef make a sign with sign shop that selects the region and replace the air with tnt. Furthermore Razz the plugin gives on disable a is it up to date error. I will make a icket about this

I use http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/death-messages/ death messages plugin and if you are in the minigame you see the minigame death message as well as the death messages plugin message. Any way I can force deathmessages not to report deaths if they are in a minigame and only get the minigame death messages?

Currently its not really. I may add some more things to detect TNT in the future, but still, TNT needs more events to make it perfect, which bukkit currently don't have.

For those who need this (for infection maybe): If you want for red team to have strenght 2 potion effect for 10 minutes you can type following /mgm set "game name" loadout addpotion 5 600 2 Where 5 is potion effect (can be from 1 to 20, see here http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Data_values#Status_effects ), 600 is number of seconds (duration of effect), and 2 is amplifier. You can do this like this also: /mgm set "game name" loadout addpotion jump 60 3 With this command you are adding jump effect which will last for 60 seconds, and player will be able to jump 3 blocks up.

im trying to make it to where once the players join the minigame they are allowed to pick up and drop items but i want to make it to where once they pick it up they automatically drop it (im doing hockey)

yea, i use essentials. I tried lowest, high, and highest with no luck..... maybe we can add a config option to handle respawns for this plugin? Case in point, multiverse. but,.... that may just cause more problems lol.

Some other plugin is overriding Minigames. They have their priority set too high. You can adjust it in their configs usually. So whatever your spawn plugin is, just change its priority to either Normal or High.
As for the second part, I noticed that too, not sure why though.

Yes, I haven't really had time to write them. I started writing a more complete wiki however, not much on their either though. You could always use the ids: http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Potion_effects
I'm not the one who set the names of the potions for the plugin, it just uses whatever bukkit set them to be. So I'm not sure on all the names.

Ah no, thats not how restore blocks work. Only regen areas and the floor degenerator works like that. Restore blocks sets individual blocks to automatically be added to the restore process no matter what. You can only set one at a time. Thats why I said Minigames won't work well for TNT spleef.

You are right. He should enable them to join via [mgm] join game, then [mgm] team blue or red. That should work.

Not 100% sure, but I think you have to have a normal join sign, then a team join sign in the lobby area. So the players need to be 'in' the game before they can select teams.

Posted May 23, 2013Im trying to get it to where theres a red team and blue team and have blue teams spawn points set up. I have the game enabled and sign that is [minigame] team blue and its lit up and everything when i click the sign nothing happens i have it set up as a team death match and have min and max score set up as well what am i doing wrong :(

Yes that is the command I used, standing on the 2 corners of the floor I set 1 and 2.
