As most of you have already worked out, public support for this project has been non existent. Unfortunately with the workload of trying to manage and run a server network where minigames is only 1 out of what feels like 1000 projects we maintain... It gets hard trying to find time to help everyone.
But fear not this project is indeed not abandoned! We have moved the project to SpigotMC:

Please Note I have provided updated downloads for all versions back to 1.7 .. We are trying to get some idea of what versions people are running still and what we need to focus on...updating will help us target our product improvements.

Minigames is a plugin in which users can create and play several types of Minigames on a server, without the risk of losing items or XP when they die. Players can also use checkpoints so when they die, they are reverted back to that position.
The Possible Minigame types are:
- Single Player - for jump puzzles, mazes etc.
- Last Man Standing - A multiplayer Free for All (FFA) PvP Minigame
- Race - A Multiplayer race Minigame
- Team Deathmatch - A deathmatch round against 2 teams, first to a defined score wins!
- Deathmatch - A free for all deathmatch round against any predefined amount of players, first to a defined score wins!
- Spleef - Its possible to create custom Spleef arenas, as well as your standard spleef arena.
- Treasure Hunt - A global treasure finding Minigame that is always running
- CTF - An expansion to the Team Deathmatch Minigame.
- Infection - An expansion to the Team Deathmatch Minigame where the infected players must kill all survivors.

Purpose:
Minigames was created for players to play games within a server and win prizes for completion, also to let players play PvP games without the risk of losing their hard earned items and XP. Minigames also reward players for completing each Minigame, or with PvP Minigames, the player can be rewarded with 'bets' that players make before they start the Minigame. These bets can be in Economy money or preset items.
These Minigames can be created in any style the player wishes, for example, parkour jump puzzles, mazes and treasure hunts. As well as PvP games like CTF, races and more. You are given a lot of options to add to each Minigame individually, so they are all completely customisable.

Metrics
This plugin utilizes Hidendra's plugin metrics system, which means that the following information is collected and sent to mcstats.org:
- A unique identifier
- The server's version of Java
- Whether the server is in offline or online mode
- The plugin's version
- The server's version
- The OS version/name and architecture
- The core count for the CPU
- The number of players online
- The Metrics version
- And the amount of players playing games. Opting out of this service can be done by editing plugins/Plugin Metrics/config.yml and changing opt-out to true.

Posted Apr 13, 2013Is it possible that when a player wins a minigame, he gets rewarded ingame money? Probably, using vault for it to support various economy plugins. I need this for a minigame server and ranks are purchased with ingame money so we need this working.

Ok found the problem, every time I did it i right clicked the block and that allowed it to restore, seems that it won't restore unless that is done by a player. Will get it fixed.

Maybe, I've been trying to get it to work, but things like that just don't seem to want to roll back nicely. I'll hopefully get it to work though.

Check the FAQ, its your spawn/home plugin thats the issue.

minigame.sign.use is the permission to use signs, but that should be given by default.

Restore blocks are working fine, I've been running a Minigame using them for quite a while now. If the dispenser is having issues, did you remember to add it to the restore blocks list? properly?

Posted Apr 12, 2013Hi, I'm trying to set this up on my server, so far we only have capture the flag but we cannot get it to respawn the players in the right place. When they die the are moved to the main server spawn, instead of the player spawn points within the minigame, then they cannot get back because they are in the game. Anyone know how to move the player to the player spawn points rather than the server spawn?

I now have a test server running so if you want to see it yourself that restoreblocks are not working you can come take a look, Tell me if you want the ip. Or i can zip the server folder.

Thats not what i am telling...
Our problem with restoreblocks is still there like refilling dispensers, we now fixed it with our own system aka. hoppers on each other above the dispenser.

1) Players can not break blocks even I have blockbreak enabled.
2) If someone leave or win or loose the game, he has still the diamond spade in a hand.
3) How can i set floor regen after the game ends ?

Yeah upcoming, the first time I did it wasn't very good. I'm pretty sure I removed the regen entirely in 1.4.2 because it lagged the server.

Is your comment about the TNT block breaking regarding an upcoming version of MGM? Because I noticed this problem first hand when I had an arena in which only item 46 (TNT) could be placed or destroyed. But when the TNT detonated, it removed the blocks around it. This is with version 1.4.3.

Oh yes, the only reason I haven't released yet is because I'm waiting on the scoreboard stuff that was added in 1.5 to be implemented into bukkit, if you've seen that before you know where I'm going with this. Also, bugs, so many bugs!
Maybe a setting for blocks that should be recognised as hats in a loadout? And they'll only be used if they have a quantity of 1 (just in case you have a Minigame that uses those blocks).
Vertical degenearation was a plan of mine. As for multiple areas, maybe? I could probably do it but I'd have to change the way they are defined.
As for the TNT, I've made it do that :) TNT will only destroy blocks if the player can break them. For instance if you had a glass wall but didn't allow players to break it, the TNT would destroy the blocks a player could break, but wouldn't destroy ones the player couldn't (like the glass in this case)
