As most of you have already worked out, public support for this project has been non existent. Unfortunately with the workload of trying to manage and run a server network where minigames is only 1 out of what feels like 1000 projects we maintain... It gets hard trying to find time to help everyone.
But fear not this project is indeed not abandoned! We have moved the project to SpigotMC:

Minigames is a plugin in which users can create and play several types of Minigames on a server, without the risk of losing items or XP when they die. Players can also use checkpoints so when they die, they are reverted back to that position.
The Possible Minigame types are:
- Single Player - for jump puzzles, mazes etc.
- Last Man Standing - A multiplayer Free for All (FFA) PvP Minigame
- Race - A Multiplayer race Minigame
- Team Deathmatch - A deathmatch round against 2 teams, first to a defined score wins!
- Deathmatch - A free for all deathmatch round against any predefined amount of players, first to a defined score wins!
- Spleef - Its possible to create custom Spleef arenas, as well as your standard spleef arena.
- Treasure Hunt - A global treasure finding Minigame that is always running
- CTF - An expansion to the Team Deathmatch Minigame.
- Infection - An expansion to the Team Deathmatch Minigame where the infected players must kill all survivors.

Purpose:
Minigames was created for players to play games within a server and win prizes for completion, also to let players play PvP games without the risk of losing their hard earned items and XP. Minigames also reward players for completing each Minigame, or with PvP Minigames, the player can be rewarded with 'bets' that players make before they start the Minigame. These bets can be in Economy money or preset items.
These Minigames can be created in any style the player wishes, for example, parkour jump puzzles, mazes and treasure hunts. As well as PvP games like CTF, races and more. You are given a lot of options to add to each Minigame individually, so they are all completely customisable.

Metrics
This plugin utilizes Hidendra's plugin metrics system, which means that the following information is collected and sent to mcstats.org:
- A unique identifier
- The server's version of Java
- Whether the server is in offline or online mode
- The plugin's version
- The server's version
- The OS version/name and architecture
- The core count for the CPU
- The number of players online
- The Metrics version
- And the amount of players playing games. Opting out of this service can be done by editing plugins/Plugin Metrics/config.yml and changing opt-out to true.

I am not a fan of PEX, too many issues have come up from all sorts of people.
A feature request for whenever you release 1.5.1 and have beyond enough time to spare.
King of the hill & King of the ladders, both would be the same thing.
Player who stays in the top will win, right now I accomplished this in an odd way and people enjoy it very much, check it out when your not busy.

It may just be the fault of PEX as well, considering their last build was for 1.4.7R0.1

If you have, for example, spleef setup (LMS)... and the floor area is allowed to be broken, but it overlaps into a part of a wall lets say, and its protected by WG, would people who are not in the minigame be able to break parts of the arena when the minigame is started?

If by the weekend a beta build is not released for Bukkit 1.5, I will be releasing a dev version to download. It may be buggy and won't contain any other changes (Maybe a couple bug fixes from my recent updates). If any bugs are encountered in this version, chuck 'em on the tickets page, this way I can have a more stable version for Bukkits beta release.

Its hard to explain why I did it but here goes:
Say you have a 2-4 player arena, if 2 people are playing you don't want them spawning next to each other, so instead, you can make the initial start points opposite:
- 1
3 + 4
- 2
instead of having the 2 players spawn at 1 and 3. This is how I lay out my spleef games.

I mention the random spawning because a Survival Games-like arena, Last Man Standing, has the players spawning in the same numerical order every time. Which is, as you said, the initial spawn. In a Survival Games sense with all initial spawns the same, this can be problematic/repetitive. I don't see how constant, numerical, initial spawns would prevent a balancing problem, but you might have seen a problem with it that I don't.

Particle effect sounds like a great idea!
Spawning is random if its a team deathmatch or deathmatch game, only initial spawning isn't for balancing purposes. This way players don't spawn next to each other at the start of a game.
The waiting, full, in progress etc stuff is there, you just have to left click the sign. It tells you the score as well and how many players are in it.
