MineReaper
MineReaper
Time to pay the reaper.
Description
Get more control over the way death works on your server! Give players the luxury of keeping their experience and items when they die, either for free or for a price. Are your players complaining because they lost all their items when killed in PvP? Why not make it so they can keep those items and experience whenever a player kills them? Want to treat your VIP's to a new perk for some donations? Why not allow them to keep their experience and items, FOR FREE? Customize the way your players die in the game, add your own hilarious spin on death using custom death messages! Don't want your players to keep their experience AND their items? Choose which they get to keep for yourself!

Important Note
Version 1.3 includes several permissions and configuration changes where some permissions and configuration options have been removed. We recommend that you delete the config.yml in your MineReaper data folder, and unset your current minereaper permissions.
If you DO choose to use the death tax features of MineReaper, Vault is required along with a valid economy plugin supported by Vault.
You can get vault here: http:dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/vault/
If you DO NOT choose to use the death tax features of MineReaper, Vault is not required.
MineReaper turned off by default. In order to use it, you have to give the minereaper.use permission to any user/group/world you want to have it. If you want to use death taxing, you have to use the appropriate commands found on the commands page to enable those features.
Version 1.3 contains many bug fixes and new additions, it is highly recommended that you use this version or upgrade to it. If you intend to use MineReaper Death Messages, please read the Death Messages Configuration, link located at bottom of page.

Posted Mar 17, 2013When players would play in Mob Arena, I got a constant message that said alert the plugin developer.
When I logged out and came back on my server after a game of mob arena, I had lost my survival inventory but had the mob arena items and armor. I have removed the plugin henceforth.

Posted Feb 3, 2013Would it be possible make it so that players would drop their items if they don't have enough money to pay for keeping their items, or making it so that players who killed other players actually got their money that they lost? Like an option in the config or something.
EDIT: I actually figured out that players weren't dropping their items when they didn't have enough money to pay for it because I had keepInventory gamerule on. :D

Hey there, hope you're doing well. I haven't been around since you first started this mod since I stopped playing MC for a while. Just wondering if you're considering the current release to be stable enough to start dev. again. I want to let you know there is still no better plugin I have found for item/exp keeping than yours. Posting this so you know there is still interest for MineReaper. Thanks!

It should already do that, although that may have changed with mod revisions. In your per-world permissions config you just enable minereaper on that world, and disable it on others.

Posted Nov 22, 2012MineReaper lives on!
Hi all, sorry about no updates in such a long, long time. With Mojang pouring out updates for Minecraft more quickly now, I have been watching & waiting for a stable version to be released in which Bukkit has a chance to catch up and knock the kinks out before I develop anything.
The reason behind this is that I can spend weeks programming MineReaper 2.0, just to have a new version render it obsolete, sometimes in such ways that recoding can be possible. However, 1.4 seems to be stableish, but they are still refining it and so thus I am still waiting.
Hopefully we will see a new MineReaper by the end of the year.

Posted Aug 16, 2012So does this work with 1.3.1? If not I'll apply to test the new version. My server is 24/7 online. Have around 10+ players online, but its growing as I advertise more. I have enough time to test this plugin out. Altough I want it to at least work without hindering my users experience.

Thanks for your reply. Yeah i dont know if i am just not good at searching to find something like that, i saw it on a server once, to keep certain tools on death. For now i will just use another with your plugin to where they have to keep fixing there tools at the shop to keep them, and use this for donater's to keep all there stuff on death. I will also keep an eye out to see what your new update brings. I like the death messages. lol. Again good work,Thanks again : )

Unfortunately not. The only restoration options are EXP Only, Items Only, and Full Restore (EXP & Items). MineReaper doesn't include an option that allows you to pick and choose which items will be restored. Although this could be a possibility for the future.

Posted Aug 6, 2012ok, quick question. Did i miss read one of the permission commands? Is there a way i can just give the node to my default group to just keep there tools? Not everything they had on them? I was trying to do a always keep only tools for default players, on death, The rest drops, and then use the minereaper.use on donated players. So they keep all there tools, exp, and armor on death. Thanks and good work!
