The number after the colon : is called the "port" - imagine your IP address is like the telephone number of a large office, then you have different extensions ("ports") for each desk.

So, your IP address is the internet address of your server. On your server you have Minecraft, and it is listening for connections ("phone calls") on port/extension 25565.

You also have MobileAdmin on your server, and it is listening on port 5839.

So on your mobile device, on the MobileAdmin app, you need to enter your IP address with 5839 after the colon :

You might also need to put a username and password into the "Users.config" file on the server, in the /plugins/MobileAdmin folder, and then make sure you enter the same username and password on the app on your mobile device.

Hi, i think this is a great plugin and app. But i have a problem. My server's ip ends in :25565 And when i put in the ip in the app, it says invalid ip. It will let me put it in without the :25565, but thats not my ip (derp). Also, i cant connect with my local ip either. Am i supposed to be able to? Thank you!

Bob I was getting this too, started occurring for no reason (nothing changed on my server). I noticed the words "ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException" which made me suspect some value was too big for it to handle.

My /plugins/MobileAdmin/ChatLog.txt file had grown to over 9mb. I renamed it (to "ChatLog_2013_09_26.txt" for example) and restarted the server and it started ok.

Suggest you give that a try.

And I am now also running 1.6.4 and everything seems ok.

Does not work for 1.6.2 I get 2013-01-20 20:27:45 [SEVERE] Error occurred while enabling MobileAdmin v3.2.5 (Is it up to date?) java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException 1

Yes it still works with MC 1.6.2, but sadly the DynMap feature is not working if you're running MCPC (forge/bukkit server) instead of bukkit or spigot. DynMap for Forge is a mod and no plugin anymore, so it sadly isn't found by MobileAdmin, I guess

Is your server port forwarded? (The MobileAdmin port?)

I have the plugin installed correctly,

and its on my phone,

it works great, but the only problem I have is I cant access my server whever Im not around my computer that's running the server.

it says I need to check if I installed the MA plugin correctly and that my minecraft server is running.

well I know I installed it correctly because it works when im home,

and I know my server is running cause Im on it as I type this.

What's the problem? I thought I was suppose to be able to access my server from anywhere?

My partner uses Mobile Admin, but I'm an IOS user so I use Adminium. Fantastic app.

Also, If you would be willing to create an IOS version, I would be willing to buy that, because people use IOS more than Android.

Sure its a good plugin. I just don't think you should have to pay for the chat and dynmap. Ive been looking for a good plugin to help me administrate my server while im gone alot on vacation. Im not saying the plugin is bad, Im just saying the donation should be an option and not a requirement.

yeah I got problem wont work on Beastnode.... really not 1 port ... the Beastnode additional available port is 8000 to 9000 already available to you if ur hosting server on Beastnode. so check here for number of port not in use, use port u find and use it in config.

I know the mobileadmin default is 5839 .... will never work very well it's not authorized /reserved port ... causing issues to some users.

but I paid for it like 12 hrs ago thu app store and not working .. cant cant refund ... yeah im gonna do charge back. -_- (works every time)

Kinda unfair to the people who paid for the non-free version if you don't keep this updated. works okay with 1.5.2 but it still has the occasional error and mess ups.
