I have the same problem.
I configured a physical currency (as in the video) that is Stone, but does not work.
I have stone in the inventory, but it to the put / mc balance tells me that I have nothing.

Yes. If you don't like a language, replace the body of its node in the language file with a pair of single quotes. (Message.Welcome: '')
@dipsnark
Could I have the stack trace from the error? Otherwise, it is very difficult to help you.
@chikarkas36
This is an improper user/password combination for your MySQL database. Try contacting your database administrator or reset your user/pass for MySQL and re-enter the same information into MineConomy.
@linwetalion
Yes, I am currently waiting until I finish v1.6 release for MineConomy because it will add several new features which tie into banks.
I know the video about MySQL is outdated. :) I attempted to make it clear on the Dev page that there was a change.

Posted Sep 7, 2012Could you add a detailed description of all plugin features? e.g. how banks work, what can be done with banks, what are accounts are made for and HOW (are they created automatically when a user logs in?), etc. BTW your video concerning MySQL is corrupted - there's a video about installation and setup (basic one).

This is the third time this has been suggested. Because of the high suggestion rate, I will work on it immediately.
@Joker999it
It appears as if your default currency isn't set. Be sure to watch the tutorial at the top of the page. If that doesn't fix it, file a ticket with the server-side stack trace of the error.
@richboos @krisukun
A basic tutorial is outlined in the Readme.txt that is created when MineConomy first runs. I would still suggest watching my unedited, figure-it-out tutorial though. ;)

Yes, you are right. I think, the better idea is put example currencies.yml (and optional config.yml) in readme, with explain, or something like that. Or do new page in "pages" section. Or, currencies.yml should generate example parameters.
@Joker999it
Check again your currencies.yml and config.yml, and try install newest Vault.

Posted Sep 2, 2012Could the devs make a text version of the tutorials, explaining things from config.yml to currencies.yml? I understand there are youtube videos but I'm not one for watching unedited figure-it-out as we go along. It shouldn't take more than 1 minute to find a page on bukkit dev with the explanation of if interest is entered in ms, s, m, etc. I know a lot of kids like to watch videos for hours but there have got to be some other people like me who would rather listen to music and keep working, than have to stop everything to watch a video.
Thank you :)

Motive behind "Suggestion": My players find it a great annoyance how if they are offline they end up losing a great amount of money.

Your ticket has been replied to and closed. It appears as if you missed the statements I thought to be very clear on the front page and the known caveats. MineConomy updated the way it reads URLs.
I appreciate the ticket. If you constantly check the MineConomy ticket's page, your ticket might disappear after it has been closed. Be sure to go to your user control panel and check your submitted tickets there.

Yes, it's a bit annoying, but if you have essentials, you can use /pay <player> command, or /eco give to give money. When you are using this commands, player should be on-line
