Minecart Mania is meant to give back control of minecarts to the users and admins. It boasts a variety of features, from advanced intersection control, automated farming, sophisticated inventory management, minecart dispensing and collecting, and admin controls.

Hi all,
It is unfortunate that despite the announcements MinecartMania "Fall 2011" is no longer being developed. Is there now an official developer again, an alternative or a recommended replacement?

@Pr4w

As far as I can see, the "return to owner" feature doesn't work with those builds. I have everything enabled to do it as it should, but when you kill the cart or it is killed by the timer for being empty, it is just destroyed. Not send back to the owner or dropped. This makes most servers system not really work.

Check TrainCarts. He tries to implement some or all Minecart Mania features. Look at the github page for the newest release ;)

Does anybody find a method to add the new Items ? (1.0 Items) items.txt has no effect :(

This file is a list of all the data values, and matching item names for Minecart Mania. This list is never used, and changes made to this file will be ignored

Afforess is working on it again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! http:ci.spout.org/user/Afforess/builds Dev builds are up but I would guess they are highly unstable. Also looks like Godcraft have been testing it out Click Here

I don't understand why there is no explaination anywhere, if it is really abandoned... I understand it's free, and you can not expect anything. But i would at least let the users know what's happening. It's sad, because it's the most important Plugin on my server besides FalseBook!

I feel sad about it. I'm not able to pick the project either. What alternative and maintained plugin can be used for ?

Autofarming (none I know of)
Autocollect (maybe falsebook)

Yes, mas amount of servers have shut down rail systems ;( I bet Afforess will start updating once Spout is more under control with the 1.0 and RB builds soon enough :D

can anyone extand the itemlist? the collect items method doesn't collect new items like the ender pearl or the spider eye :(
