[Abandoned] MinecartMania Reborn
Minecart Mania 2.0 is a total minecart overhaul for fun and profit.
With MCM you can:
- Jump and ramp minecarts through the air
- Travel at ludicrous speeds (no derailing!)
- Set destinations for each cart and route them automatically through intersections.
- Route minecarts based on their type, contents or direction.
- Use block or signs to change speed, physics, and other properties on the fly.
- Use minecarts to farm wheat, lumber and other crops, harvest them and place them in chests
- Use advanced sensors to trigger redstone circuits based on the type, contents and direction of minecarts.

Posted Jan 31, 2013Pages for physics, commands, configuration, stations, and blocks/signs have been updated. A new alpha has been submitted that is very similar to the last build i posted here in the comments.

I did, indeed, derp the math on the friction. I have verified in this build that with all frictions and slope speed set to 0, the minecart will move at a constant velocity.

I'll take a look at the friction, its supposed to work like I said, but i haven't actually tried.
The [minecart type] signs and the chest/item collection stuff has not really been updated yet, I'm getting to them.

None of my all old signs works now :)

Reverse should work, [set speed:-1x] is mapped to regular wool by default, which reverses the cart direction (ill check it when i get home). check out the 'whats new in v2' link at the top of the page for the other changes. If carts are diappearing you may need to change the 'keep chunks loaded' setting in the config to true.

Ihave some questions:
- In 2.0 Alpha the 'reverse block' (white wool) don't works. Has it changed to another block?
- In 1.5 there where more than one java file (ex: autocart, chestcontrol ....) are they unused and included in the Core now?
- My frams are working but every time i warp to another location an back, there's no storage minecart on the track. Whats wrong here?

Set the frictions, slope speed, and push speed, all to 0, minecarts should then not change velocity on their own

Has new default option that totally eliminates minecart collisions with blocks and each other, you can now send minecarts in 2 directions on the same track and they just pass through each other. This also improves performance since it's not doing any collision detection. Players can still 'push' minecarts by walking into them at low speed.
I added back in the persistence for Sensors, you might get an error on the first startup as it upgrades the db. I am working on making it load up the old minecartmaniasigncommands.db if it finds one and port it to the new db, but I do not have a working old db to test with, if someone can send me one, that would help.

As it says on the file notes, you need the very latest dev build of cb 1.4.7 r0.2 for the new alpha. You are running 1.4.6

Posted Jan 30, 2013Hello, I'm trying to use the lime wool auto cart spawner + place player in cart. It spawns the cart, and that's all it does. Followed by a crash, here is the error. Thanks!

I never used them myself because they always seemed a bit buggy and with stations you could basically build many things which emulated sensors anyway (in combination with detector rails) ;)
