What is MassiveCore?

MassiveCore is a Bukkit plugin that contains components the MassiveCraft developers use for developing other Bukkit plugins:

ItemStack and Inventory serialization
Commands
Plugin Integration
Data storage with JSON
Disc IO
… and much more …

Install

Stop your server.
Put MassiveCore.jar in your plugins folder.
Start your server again.

Plugins Using MassiveCore

Internet Connections

MassiveCore sends anonymous usage statistics to bstats.org when your server starts and downloads the latest sponsor configuration file from massivecraft.com hourly. You can disable these internet connections by setting "metricsEnabled" and "sponsorEnabled" to false at the very bottom of the main configuration file.

Im using Mcore 6.4.1 for my hexxit world and it keeps say Task #4 for Mcore v6.4.1 has generated an exception. If anyone could help me solve this it would be great.

Why factions and creativegates work with this stupid Plugin i hate Mcore.... thanks for this plugin i can't start my server and make it online... is the best stupid plugin ever i see

Correct. You have to update all your plugins, and remove the old mcore.jar.

Is it just me or did the file name change from mcore to massivecore in the newest release (7.3.0), and now doesn't load at all?

Considering that noone has even come close to cloning a "faction-like" plugin after all this time my guess is that they are hard to code.

Why does Mcore take soo long for its updates? Is it because its hard to code Mcore? Or is it because The dev's Dont have much time to program?
