Components:

MChat - The core of the plugin, provides all the necessary functions expected of a chat formatting plugin, plus some more!
MChannels - Introduces the feature to create different chat channels that users may join
MSocial - Adds additional social features such as conversations and custom formatted pms, shouting/yelling, and custom /say formatting.
MAdvanced - Adds extra functionality such as an AFK Kicker, /who player lookups, and /online player lists.

Is the new group ineriting permissions from an existing group? If so, remember to put: mchat.prefix.Inheritedgroupname: false mchat.prefix.newgroupname: true

How did you fix the first issue? Whenever I create a new group, it keeps using a different group's prefix in chat.

I managed to get the plugin itself working with my server, but I'm not sure how to get prefixes and colors to work anymore. I had it working fine prior to updating. Any help?

I have a couple of issues: First, I'm using oldnodes so I can keep my config and group names. Everything is working perfectly apart from I tried creating a new group, and I cannot get it to work in the chat.

Second, when I press tab, it shows peoples names but only about 10 characters. WIth the groupnames in the prefix this means most of their name is cut off.

Please help!

edit* Fixed the first issue. Now it's just the TAB button that isn't working quite right.

The people who have those Worlds in their prefixes. Its caused by multiverse.. and mchat together. You can change the alias for the world in the Multiverse config!

I am running McMyAdmin and the newest version of Bukkit / Minecraft. I copied mChatSuite-Dev.jar into my plugins folder, but it still is not changing username colors or added the group prefixes as I have defined in McMyAdmin. What am I missing?

Hello, I have a issue for when i use the /msg command, For example it will state two prefixes instead of stating the desired prefix, '[-Player-Owner-RandomPlayer]: Hi'

Instead of the desired, '[-Owner-RandomPlayer]: Hi'

Anyway can you help me on this? Thanks, Aaron. Edit: Also i cant seem to get my users to be able to use the /afk command even though the correct node is in place?

I dont use that, I use a permissionplugin to achive what your doing but i think you need to put usenewinfo: true

Hi,

Before the MC1.2 updates, I was able to easily set groups to have a specific prefix and suffix, however, if I wanted different ones for different users in the same group, I could easily set it up to inherit the groups prefix, and then individually set the suffix.

I can no longer do this with the same config.yml and info.yml that I have used all this time.

Hello I have a problem, i don't know how the plugin show me the time, when somebody wrote something. the sequence in this: time [group] playername: message But this didn't work. I use for the groups EssentialsGroupManager and i have Vault My config.yml & locale.yml http://dev.bukkit.org/paste/4859/ http://dev.bukkit.org/paste/4858/

Than it is possible, that the name when somebody join is yellow? It is a problem that i have essentials? For information: I have the Craftbukkit beta 1.2.3-R0.1

You should set it false and use "useOldNodes" to true only then you can use group prefix

I know you're getting swamped with bugs, but I just wanted to let you know you're doing a great job. This is probably the only decent chat plugin out there that lets you do group-based coloring.

I'm lost, I set up use new into to true and set up the Groups how I like (with prefixes) but it wont show up. Only if I edit it per user will the changes I've made show up. How Do I make it so it just takes from the group and not the user

it will show up when you are using...Spoutcraft ;) ^{, but spoutcraft for 1.2.3 is not out yet -.-} :D

Does show when people are typing? Where does it show and how turn it on?
