Components:

MChat - The core of the plugin, provides all the necessary functions expected of a chat formatting plugin, plus some more!
MChannels - Introduces the feature to create different chat channels that users may join
MSocial - Adds additional social features such as conversations and custom formatted pms, shouting/yelling, and custom /say formatting.
MAdvanced - Adds extra functionality such as an AFK Kicker, /who player lookups, and /online player lists.

MChat is now heavily dependent on Vault for interacting with other plugins, please remember to always use the latest released version, to prevent any issues.

I am also having the same issue, Same configuration as older builds work perfectly ok. Update to 1.2.3-R02 Does not display any group names, prefix names, suffix names however it does display the world tag. I am using the OldInfo Nodes

I must be a real noob... How do I give permissions to change player name (Nick) ? And what are the commands... I have looked, over and over but cant seem to find it :s

There is a config option for it. It is a Caps Spam filter. ("mchat.cLockRange" in the config.yml)

mChatCompat is for use with mChatLite only. It is only an API cross-over from mChatSuite to mChatLite.

Hello, I don't know if this has been asked before and I am not going to look through 48 pages of comments, but I cannot get mChatSuite to display any colours whatsoever. I have had successfully working before the time of Minecraft 1.2.3. I've tried the following versions:

R: mChatCompat R0.1 b9 for CB 1.2.3-R0.2 Mar 13, 2012
R: mChatLite R0.1 b21 for CB 1.2.3-R0.2 Mar 13, 2012
R: mChatSuite R0.1 b175 for CB 1.2.3-R0.2 Mar 13, 2012
R: mChatSuite b162 for CB 1.1-R4 Feb 29, 2012

The colours wouldn't display even if I reset the config.yml files and ran on a server with no other plugins. I've had this issue for a month now.

EDIT:

Figured out that the prefixes/suffixes for groups in info.yml, aren't working, yet the ones for individual users are. Any way to make the ones for groups work?

I have the newest version of mchat. I have craftbukkit 2066, now i have 2087. Litterally nothing i do changed the chat. Nothing i do to the config or new info changes, ive been to the wiki and got all info i needed and yet still nothing works. No longer works on 2087

UPDATE:
Finally got ur plugin to work, using the old version, and the only way to get it to work was to use the old nodes and old info.

@MiracleM4n: What's the permission for /mchatmessageprefix? This is a great addition to my donors' perks but I don't know the permission. :)

When i use permissionsBukkit and McMyAdmin, what should i use? Mchatlite? mChatSuite?

Vault has data-logging. It WAS to show how many people were on the server, what version of the plugin was being used and what version of CB was being used. I have since removed this, it is not in any of the CB 1.2.3 builds IIRC.

Ok i dont know why ud have data logging on ur plugin, and frankly thats scary. BUT more importantly, when i load this plugin, it only takes the <> away from the name, nothing else i do changes it. Litterally nothing. I use Bukkit perms,2060-2083 CB.

I downloaded R: mChatCompat R0.1 b9 for CB 1.2.3-R0.2 Mar 13, 2012 and ran it on CB 1.2.3-R0.2 but the plugin didn't load. Help please?

As of the latest 2/3 release versions I have removed the license and any form of data collecting code from the plugin. There is no longer any reason to be worried, I wont be "stealing" anything from you.

The only information it gives him is what is related to the plugin... Each plugin on dev.bukkit.org is checked by the Bukkit Staff for things like this. This plugin is safe.
