McftChat
This plugin is a clean and simple solution for chat channels. Make a channel for staff members, donors, etc. Each channel has its own custom command that you set, including their own permissions for sending and receiving messages.

Posted Feb 5, 2012I look forward to trying out the plugin when you get a configurable distance setting implemented. I need a good channel plugin, although the main thing I'm looking for is one that will limit the distance all players may chat.

Channel tags are the color that you set for the channel. They are already separate from the color of a user's name. However, do you have any colors set for your groups' prefix (e.g. with PermisisonsEx)? If not the color may continue onto the players name.

That's correct. Though you can toggle on chat channels and talk normally and it will go to the channel until you toggle it off.
I'm glad you like the plugin. We'll be adding support for other permission plugins as well as local chat support soon.

Posted Jan 4, 2012You can't actually "switch" to the channel, right? It looks like in order to talk in a different channel, the player needs to type /(channel) (msg) to talk it in. I may be wrong.
I'm also looking forward for things like local chat channels, and support for popular Permissions Manager and Chat Managers (Like bPermissions and bChatManager).
This plugin looks pretty awesome so far. :)
