About this plugin:
This plugin was put into motion the second I saw the hunger bar system notch had developed...I put it to rest when I came to a bump in the road with the onPlayerRightClick event. Recently a friend of mine and I were talking about the hunger bar, and I was determined to get it up and running...MCEat brings back the old Minecraft eating system that was in place before Notch added the Hungerbar, your right click to heal from food...

Posted Mar 17, 2012Yes, MCEat works on my beta 1.2.3 server from bukkit, R02. Currently you can't regen, but you CAN freeze the food bar at full so you can still sprint. I'm using Essentials, LightLevel, LWC, Monster Apocalypse, PermissionsBukkit on my server, all of them are working using the latest development builds.
Edit Scratch that, no feeding wolves was a bukkit bug! Works now.

Do you mean to say it works with 1.2.3? Because THIS isn't right now...

Posted Mar 6, 2012Nice job being the first to have something in 1.2.3 work! :D
On my 1.1 server we used FastFood, I really liked being able to heal hunger AND food bar at the same time, that way you can be proactive and have a regen ready (Which I know is currently broken) when you fight mobs as well as have an incentive to eat so you can sprint. If you have full hearts, then you go to the 'chowing down' animation/etc to fill up your food bar if you needed to yet. If you could somehow get that to work that would be awesome.
Also, adding support for feeding wolves somehow to heal them would be cool. I mean, it's better to just have the hunger bar not be so stupid first and foremost, I'll gladly take that hit. :P

I understand your concern, I am currently in the process of creating a configurable cooldown on the food if this appeals you, look foward to the next build of MCEat :D

Posted Feb 11, 2012Hi,
I was wondering if you could add an option so you can only eat food when it isnt stacked? Thats the only thing holding back my server from getting this plugin. I support it, yet I feel it is overpowered if you can just spam right click infinitly basically.

Posted Feb 9, 2012Hi, I want to ask what you think with the permission notes? That this Plugin just work with the right permission per world? This would be great because so we can set this plugin on 1 world on and on the other world off.

Posted Feb 9, 2012Temp fix for 1.1 version not working -
in your plugin directory: cp -r MCeat MCEat
(Caps incorrect in foldername)
Also: Plugin name in Bukkit is still MCeat 1 (instead of MCeat 1.1) No Change notes for 1.1 release
Many thanks for the update

Posted Jan 20, 2012Is this for global or can I specify it for worlds? Is there a permission node to add it or does it set the food in all worlds?
It would be nice if you could add a permission node, that this plugin just work when a permission is set like in fastfood! Fastfood doesnt work at the moment so I look for an alternative plugin :)
