MagicSigns
MagicSigns is a powerful plugin that adds many different signs to your server.
There are healing signs, speed signs, signs that execute commands (either in the player's context or in the servers context!) and many more!

The different types of signs
- Clear Sign: Clears the player's inventory
- Command Sign: Executes commands in the player's context
- ConsoleCommand Sign: Executes commands in the server's context
- CreativeMode Sign: Sets the player's gamemode to creative
- Enchant SignNew!: Allows enchanting of items
- Unsafe Enchant SignNew!: Allows enchanting of items without enchantment level restrictions
- Feed Sign: Allows you to fill the player's hunger bar
- Heal Sign: Allows you to heal players
- Heath Sign: Like the Heal Sign, but sets the health to a value
- Level Sign: Gives the player addtitional levels.
- Repair sign: Repairs items
- Rocket Sign: Rockets the players (with adjustable power!)
- Speed Sign: Applies the speed potion effect to players with adjustable amplifiers
- SurvivalMode Sign: Sets player's gamemode to survival
- Teleport Sign: Allows you to teleport to coordinates
- Permission Sign: Give users permissions
- Local Permission Sign: Give users permissions in the current world only
- World Permission sign: Give users permissions in a specified world only

To use Permission signs, make sure to have Vault installed!

Credits to the WorldEdit creators: This plugin uses some parts of the WorldEdit code.
This plugin uses PluginMetrics/MCStats to collect a few pieces of anonymous information about the server to help improving the plugin. If you don't want that, you can set opt-out to true in the plugins/PluginMetrics/config.yml file.

create a file to save the texts.
So well with the plugin SignLink: http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/signlink/
The signs could load the texts, the classic form, not as in SignLink, where the text is a sing to another.
sample file:
texts:
'1 ':
line1: & 1this
line2: & 2 & alcohol
line3: * form *
line4: edit sign
'2 ':
line1: [cmd]
line2: & 2 & alcohol
line3: * form *
line4: edit commands
So in the game, the admin could just load the text typing something on the board:
eg
% sText [id]
and the plate would load the text.
This would be a form, to edit a large number of signs, at the same time, anywhere, without the need of being logged.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean. Do you mean that a sign is triggered by a redstone signal? Because all MagicSigns but the ConsoleCommandSign depend on the player who clicked/triggered the sign. Tracing back what the redstone activated, for example a minecart pushed by a player pushing an item onto a pressure plate etc. is almost impossible.

Hi, sorry for me not updating the plugin, I promise I'll do it as soon as possible. But what I can tell you now is that signs should only be saved when the server starts and shuts down (respectively when the plugin is enabled or disabled). So this behavior is intended. Also, you should not use the reload command. Many plugins are not compatible with it. (Afforess has even started a petition to remove it some time ago).

Posted Aug 29, 2012Hey :D Maybe you can remember the problems I had with this plugin :) They simply were not safed to the config. I solved this by reloading all the plugins when I created all the signs using the /reload command. Only with this method they will be safed to the config. Another strange thing is that the RocketSign wasnt configurable in Bukkit 1.2.5. It shot me everytime with the same strange in the air, so I choosed 1000, because I like that number. But now in 1.3.1 it blows me up to an high of 23000 blocks. Suddenly it was configurable. After some trying I figured out that 7 is the exect same high like before. Maybe this could help you. This plugin is soo greate and I would love to see this updated :)

Posted Aug 22, 2012edit: I figured out the command macros.
On another note, I have the cost of a command set to 1.5 (using essentialsecon+vault) and I can see $1.5 has been deducted, but then the command isn't run. If I have the cost as wool instead, it works fine.
