Overview

Magic is a plugin that adds powerful magic wands, items, mobs and more to your server. With over 200 spells, a variety of wand templates, and complete customization, you can use Magic to craft a unique experience for your server.

The default experience is an "RPG lite" extension to survival. Other examples are included, such as a Harry Potter setup, Star Wars, GTA-Style guns and cars, elemental bending and more.

Magic is infinitely customizable, allowing you to script your own spells, actions, items, mobs and anything else you see done in the included example configurations.

Metrics Collection

This plugin uses bstats for metrics collection. The information sent to bstats.org is completely anonymous, publicly viewable, and includes the following metrics:

A unique identifier
The server's version of Java
Whether the server is in offline or online mode
The plugin's version
The server's version
The OS version/name and architecture
The core count for the CPU
The number of players online
The Metrics version

Opting out of this service can be done by editing plugins/Plugin Metrics/config.yml and changing opt-out to true, or by editing this plugin's config.yml and changing "metrics_level" to 0.

How do you configure the cooldown to earning SP? The default seems too slow for me.

So in spells.yml you would put

default: earns_cooldown: 60000

For 1 minute instead of 15.

Best magic plugin around!

now ive got a question:

Is there any chance to get this plugin on Forge 1.12.2? I mean we playing with mods(forge) on 1.12.2 but we want to play also with your magic :( we can't imagine to play without it

Yes. If you mean 1.13.2, then you'll need 7.6.18 which is pending approval.

Nathan the textures of the wands are stone shovels or spades but How can I make for example in survival I don't want them to keep changing their texture, just the wands

I'm not sure what you mean. The RP is set up such that only unbreakable items change their texture. If that's not the case for you then something has gone wrong with your RP.

I mean, in my texture a diamond_sword has a lot of textures of wands, so when players fight, the sword is breaking so the textures of it start changing, for example diamond_sword:1 when players fight it is diamond_sword:3 so textures change, don't you know how can I stop it? I don't want them to change the common items

That tutorial is written for plugin devs. But you can ignore the code part and just do the RP parts.

If you're making an RP for Magic, wands will be unbreakable, there's no code to add.

Hey! with the magicmobs how can I change their texture, I would like to make them be items that have textures do you know how can I do it?

For example, A diamond shovel can be a turtle so the mob has its texture.

You can make an armor stand mob, if you have libsdisguises.

Amazing Plugin and Extremely Useful. I can't believe how much Freedom the Author gives everyone with their Code and the amount of flexibility and effort put into it.

Upon installing this plugin on my server, I've found that literally none of the commands do anything for me. When I type them, I just get a cascading list of all the commands I can theoretically use. Is there an obvious reason I would be experiencing this difficulty? I am on the newest version of minecraft, bukkit and this plugin.

Please check your logs on startup. It sounds like the plugin failed to load, there should be errors in there saying why.

Everything in this RP was made for this plugin. There are comments in the JSON files that say as much.

If you're going to throw out accusations like that I hope you have some reason.
