Putting "welcome_wand: beginner" in config.yml should do that- is it not?

Ah yeah sorry for bugging you again xD but I have one more question. I'm having trouble getting players who join for the first time to get a wand by default without needing to craft it. I went into the config and tried to enable it bu nothing seems to allow it. Any suggestions? field

Yes, it does - if you have WG6 any spells that break or create blocks (permanent or not) won't be allowed in a region where you don't have break/build permissions.
Op's are exempt from this check, generally, due to the Magic.bypass permission node they get.
Also keep in mind that players can't actually progress to Engineer or Architect unless you let them (by selling or giving out the Rollback and Absorb spells, respectively)

Posted Aug 13, 2015I've been using this plugin for a week now. But I realized something after some time playing around with it. I noticed most destructive spells regenerate the area it has damaged but what about some of the spells that are permanent? I have my spawns worldguarded but I makes me nervous to think as soon as people get the architects wand they'll begin griefing my spawns. So my question is, does this plugin have worldguard support? field

I tried loading that image myself, and it came out ok, no server hangs or anything.
@Atrelyu- this sounds like a similar problem with maps- I haven't seen them have issues. Are you trying to load an animated gif, or just a normal image?
Mythic Mobs shouldn't need permission to cast spells- they do respect PVP and build perms - if you are using GriefPrevention, make sure you're on the very latest release of Magic, I had a bug briefly that broke PVP spells with GriefPrevention.

Ha! Mostly a couple other devs were kind of enough to add me to their projects. I actually don't help out much, I barely have time for Magic anymore! :(

Posted Aug 10, 2015Nathan I'm using /mmap load and even though it loads the image, the server colapses. It doesn't just stop, mobs simply stop move, time freezzes etc :( One more thing, if I deny by default the magic permissions for everyone but I want mythic mobs to use spells, I need to give mobs permissions? I know it sounds sick, but I noticed that since I did that permission thing, mobs are not casting spells D:

Posted Aug 10, 2015This is the .gif image I was using Nathan! http://i.imgur.com/sjdj3hz.gif I'm gonna update to the newest magic spigot version in order to see if this is fixed or something, just in case. But for now it seems that the error that used to appear on server start was fixed.

Oops, you are exactly right! Sorry about that :(
I just submitted CB-1.3 (and 5.1.9) to fix the issue.

Hi Nathan! After the update, spells like icbm, fireball, wither, etc seem to not work anymore. It would send "You do no have permissions to cast this" even though it's not in any GriefPrevention claims nor it is in WorldGuard regions.
EDIT: I'm not sure if it's the GriefPrevention integration "pvp_restricted" affecting even non-claimed lands or what. ^^

Posted Aug 7, 2015I've just submitted "CB-1.2" for approval. The changelist is quite long, I finally took the time to update the CB branch from master (the 1.8 build).
In particular, there are a few things in here that some people asked or recently, if I have time I'll try and track down and tag those people, but hopefully they see it here:

I've seen devs in IRC complaining that directly linking to their projects on the spigotmc page was considered advertising- their plugins were removed from dev.bukkit.org and their accounts deleted.
So I don't want to take any chances, basically. I don't mean to be coy about it- but I figure if you have found BuildTools.jar, you should be able to find your plugins in the same place. Why even come here at that point?

Posted Aug 4, 2015What does this mean?
I build my own server JAR using Spigot's BuildTools and I certainly don't have a 1.8 version of Magic available here as well...
If you mean go find it on the Spigot Resources webpage, why not just provide a link or upload the same here like other plugins do?

You can limit spells that break or build blocks with most region protection plugins- like WorldGuard or Towny.
You can also use WorldGuard and the WGCustomFlags plugin to add an allowed-spells and block-spells list to each WG region.

Posted Aug 2, 2015Is there a way I can make the wand not be able to cast spells in a certain region, or world. I want the players to be able to get the wand in that world, but be unable to cast a spell such as grenade.

I'm not sure what you mean. Do you have any customizations? Have you tried wiping your configs? The files in the defaults folder don't change and you don't really have to worry about those.
