This plugin was written for the PVP server. Like many of you, I won't play on a PVP server with access to /back, however, I sometimes can't find the items I dropped. This plugin is a win-win for players. If someone can't find where they died, they can type /maddash to broadcast their death location globally in chat. The broadcasted message will include the players name and last death coordinate to within about 40 blocks.

One of the problems I've noticed on many PVP servers is the utter LACK of PVP. People join just wanting to mine underground 24/7. Its their decision, they bought the game so I can't knock em. This program only affects them if they can't remember where that creeper bombed them and they really want those diamonds / "time invested" back. Once the message is broadcast, quite a few people are gonna wanna know what that person wants to retrieve so badly. People will gear up and make their way to those coordinates and then its on like Donkey Kong. The first step in running a good PVP server is making the players interact. The smart player or clan might even use this fact to his or her advantage. They could set up an ambush. Bring the people to them so to speak.

Try this plugin out, let me know of any bugs or quirkiness, and I'll do my best to resolve any problems. I want to introduce a bunch of lightweight, efficient plugins that will be a boost to the PVP on servers.

Commands:

/maddash - initiates the Mad Dash. Everyone will know where the player last died.

Config

edit the config.yml to change these values.

message: Quick its a MadDash! This is the text that appears to all players when a mad dash is started.

SecondsDashIsAvailable: 30 This is the length of time in seconds that the user can start the Mad Dash.

To Do:

• configurable random distance to death point.
• configurable head-start option for the player initiating.
