LWC is the longest-lived single block protection plugin that protects both the block itself and contents of Chests, Furnaces, and Dispensers. It can also protect any other blocks, and by default will also protect Doors (Wooden + Iron), Signs and Trap Doors.
Blocks can be protected with three basic protection types:
Private
By default, only you can access this protection. You can also modify it (or specify when creating) to add other players or groups to the protection, so they can access it. Say you wanted Notch and Hidendra to both access the protection. When creating the protection, you could do /cprivate Notch Hidendra or if it already exists /cmodify Notch Hidendra. If you wanted to remove Hidendra from the private protection, you can use /cremove -Notch
Password
A password is set on the protection and anyone that knows the password can open it. You yourself also need this password each time you log in.
Public
Mainly targeted at community chests, a Public chest means just that: anyone can access it, but no one can protect it which makes it advantageous because it cannot be made private by someone else.
Commands
/lwc- The LWC command for everything, however aliases are available to make some commands shorter. Type /lwc in-game for more detailed help./cprivate- The alias of /lwc create private (or /lwc -c private), it creates a private protection./cpassword <password>- The alias of /lwc create password <password>, it creates a passworded protection./cpublic- The alias of /lwc create public, it creates a public protection/cremove- Allows you to remove a protection you own (or if you're an LWC admin, any protection) - you must click on the protection after using/cremovein order to remove it./cunlock <password>- Allows you to attempt to gain access to a passworded protection after LWC tells you you attempted to open a password protection.... more! There are aliases for all major used commands and every alias is not listed here.
Permissions
Basic permissions:
lwc.protect- Allows the player to create and manage their own protections. It also allows them to use enabled modes and flags.lwc.mod- Allows the player to open any chest, but not remove them.lwc.admin- Gives the player absolute power to LWC - this node should be considered dangerous if used incorrectly as this node essentially gives you the right to destroy every protection (and even the block & inventory contents associated with it) in one command!lwc.deny- Prevents players with this node from interacting with anything LWC can protect. For example, from opening or destroying protected and unprotected chests, furnaces, etc if protectable.

Posted Jan 28, 2012Anyway to modify...
/lwc admin query DELETE FROM protections WHERE world = 'WORLDNAME';
To make it so it will delete protections in a set area? Like a set of coords -> x:-3000 z:3000 to x:-2000 z:2000

I pretty sure there are other plugins that do this for LWC.

Posted Jan 28, 2012Excuse me, my good sir. I would like to enquire unto the possibility of the fruition of a request I have conjured in the reccesses of my mind.
I would find it rather extraordinary if LWC would detect how long it has been since it was last interacted with by the player to lock it (perhaps checks every 24 hours or so?) and if the player hasn't interacted with a locked mechanism for an extended period of configurable time, the lock would be removed.
I ask because there seems to be a lot of LWC spam building up in my server and people are leaving groups yet leaving their chests locked. It's rather the pickle for me as I have to mosey around fixing locks rather than attend to my admistratory responsibilities.
Thank you for your time, Sir William Cumberfordshire, duke of Worshire.

That's been broken since at least CB1.0.1
I had to disable the WorldGuard integration completely and manually protect many trapdoors that were used for decoration. I'm scared to even look at what that's doing to performance.

The " Notify an admin immediately. :PLAYER_INTERACT" keeps happening to me too. But only when I close SSH for some reason. It works fine on 'screen' detached until I close the SSH connection. EVERYTHING else works fine after I close the connection, so it has to be an issue of somekind with LWC. That or there is some setting I missed?
purgarus, are you using ssh? and if you are, does it still happen when you keep the connection open?

Posted Jan 26, 2012This is most definitively broken (Or another addon messes with it) with the 1.1 update, at least while using world guard. Placing a anything that gets protected automatically first says "You cannot protect that Chest outside of WorldGuard regions. [LWC] Internal error. Notify an admin immediately. :PLAYER_INTERACT"
Then crashes the server and outputs this error: http://pastebin.com/uiC0g05U
Can't start back up my server till this is updated :( Any help will be appreciated.

Posted Jan 26, 2012I recently setup my box with ssh and I am using 'screen' to start the server then detaching the screen and exiting the window to keep the server running without needing to keep putty open.
But as soon as I close the ssh connection, the server stays up and functions 100% except LWC. LWC gives errors every time someone tries to make a new protection or modify or remove any. No matter the permissions. (I use bPermissions btw)
Is there something I need to change in settings or is there a work around for this? It seems to be just an issue with LWC. Every other plugin functions properly and the server works fine. I am using the 1.1 recommended. (had the same issue with the 1.1 unrecommended too)
Thanks,
Chris

Posted Jan 24, 2012Quick suggestion: You should have LWC-Economy link posted up top somewhere. I wanted locks charge players but I just found out I needed LWC-Economy. It was misleading in the LWC config that had the optional charging players of locks when it wont work without that other .jar
Edit: At least you have it on the bukkit forum thread so thats good. Also, your probably have the best thread organization ever. From the formatting to the mini icons, its extremely easy and intuitive to understand. Good Job

Posted Jan 22, 2012I'm using bpermissions to mirror all of my worlds' permissions off of one world. It seems that I can only access dropped Tombstones in the original world - all of the other worlds give me a "You don't have the permission to do that in this world" error. Is this something I can fix?

Posted Jan 21, 2012I have autoUpdate: false in my core.yml but it keeps downloading a new .jar. Is autoUpdate not working properly atm or I did I miss a change to the config?
Thanks for the response on the other item :)
