Hello everyone, This is now my second server mod, made because I hate it when people spell like shit (call me a grammar nazi all you want). Thus I've created this plugin that filters out 90% of all the clutter and abbrevations, people use when chatting.
Examples
What it does...
Here's a list of what Lrn2spell does with each and every message (in order):
- Cleans up chat lingo. ("srsly" > "seriously")
- Removes duplicates of punctuation. ("hi!!!!!!" > "hi!")
- Adds commas after the first word if necessary. ("seriously you're dumb" > "seriously, you're dumb")
- Attempts to add verbs in common places. ("why you" > "why are you" etc.)
- Adds spaces after punctuation. ("hello.i am billy" > "hello. I am billy")
- Removes spaces before punctuation ("hi , i'm that guy" > "hi, I'm that guy")
- Capitalizes the first letter of every sentence ("my name is jack" > "My name is Jack")
- Adds dots/question marks if necessary ("are you god", "are you god?")
Future Plans
I do not intend on further developing this plugin. If anyone wants to take over this plugin, PM me and I'll email you the source code.
Command List
- /lrn2spell - Enables Lrn2Spell in the chat. (Permission: Lrn2Spell.enable)
- /lrn2stop - Disables Lrn2Spell in the chat. (Permission Lrn2Spell.disable)

Posted Nov 3, 2012Technically speaking, "Hi I'm new, who's admin?" should be either; "Hi, I'm new. Who's admin?" or "Hi, I'm new, who's admin?" Though, the second is still kind of wrong. ;)

Could you change that? :D
EDIT: Actually, could you get rid of it? It spams the chat too much. Try typing a sentance with "data" in it for example. Or just "Where?". Or two word combinations, where there is atleast one mistake to be fixed. Like "i c" "i kno"
Also, could add:
Also, your grammar natzi seems to think that "wheree" is better than "where" when typing "where are we"

Posted Jul 13, 2012This plugin looks awesome! But I will not download, it's a simple reason to that. If people spells good, and does care about all the 's and such between it's, and so on they are probably serious players, but if they don't they can still be serious but, it is a easy way to see some of their personality. Well at least that's what I think :)

Posted Jul 9, 2012Any chance of a permission being added to bypass all changes? I'd love to have this for the general public on my server, but allow certain people to retain the ability to make mistakes. Sometimes, it is very appropriate for one of these people to speak like an idiot.

Posted Jun 13, 2012I like 2, 5, 6, 7, and 8. 1 is not a good idea, ruins memes/jokes/sarcasm. 3 isn't very logical, and most of the time isn't grammatically correct. (Because the people typing aren't grammatically correct in general) 4 isn't a good a idea, because people tend to type as they speak. Because, well, that is the case when conversing real-time. If someone said: I was banned. Another might respond with: why you? Which would then be turned into: why are you? (Which should be were, but still, not the point.)
You should have a config file, as I would only like to use a select few of these options. Good job. I like it.
