FAQ
Q: How do I set the amount of money the jackpot should start with?
A: You need to set extraInPot to whatever amount you want it to start with, and then do clearExtraInPot: false
Q: The jackpot is winning too much, I don't want it to win.
A: Then you need to change the numberOfTickets to something else, or just set it to 0 (jackpot will never win then).

Permissions
These are the superPerm nodes you can use to tweak the default permissions.
- lottery.buy : Gives you all the basic rights /lottery (buy, help, winners).
- Given to all players by default, so you need to remove from the users/groups you don't want to have.
- lottery.admin.draw : Gives the group/user access to the /lottery draw command.
- Given to OP's by default.
- lottery.admin.addtopot : Gives the group/user access to the /lottery addtopot command
- Given to OP's by default.
- lottery.admin.editconfig : Grant access to edit/reload the lottery config ingame
- Given to OP's by default.
Commands
- /lottery : Basic information
- /lottery buy <number> : Buy one or <number> of tickets.
- /lottery help : Help pages
- /lottery winners : List over 10 last winners
- /lottery draw : Force the drawing to happen. Op only if not permission plugin.
- /lottery addtopot : Adds extra money/items to the pot. Op only if not permission plugin.
- /lottery config <cost/hours/max/maxTicketsEachUser/reload> : Change/reload the config ingame.

In the configuration that is made when the plugin is run the first time, you don't get comments about the different options. Here you do!

PS: The /lottery claim command is used when you are using material and you win, since blocks/items can only be given to online players

Posted Jun 25, 2012For some reason, the Lottery has broken, it was working fine the other day, I have no Idea what happened, It says Lottery Draws in 0s! Or Lottery is to be drawn soon! Something relative to that, do you know if this is a glitch? Or is it something wrong that I did?

There are two modes of lottery, one where you have an unlimited number of tickets available, but someone always wins, or a set lottery, where there are 'X' tickets and its possible for there to be no winners.
In the second version, all the money in the pot rolls over as a jackpot.
'ClearExtraInPot' is not related to the jackpot at all, this refers to the 'admin extra' you can add to a lottery. You can either have a set 'extra' that is added to the pot every round, or a one off amount, you can add on occasion. This is used so staff can add money to the pot, without actually buying tickets and having a chance to win.

Hey, I'm having an issue. Whenever the lottery ends, the jackpot goes back to 0, if I disable ClearJackPotAll, the jackpot keeps going up until someone ones, and its quite rare for someone to win, so the jackpot goes all the way to $2 mil from $100k!

If your having trouble check your server log to see if there are any errors shown in there. If you see nothing on start, you might want to throw it into debug mode, try it, and pastebin me a server log.

Posted May 28, 2012My version 1.2.5 R.01, when it goes to 0 seconds left nothing happens and even if i /lottery draw still nothing happens, people can buy tickets but nothing happens when it says its going to draw

Don'tcha love it when it wont tell you which line it breaks on, don't suppose you can give me some more information, such as if the error only appears after a /reload, or only during startup/shutdown?

Before I forever add you to my eternal ignore list, have you actually tried the plugin to see if it works? I find it hard to believe this plugin would be broken by any recent update.
