Loot
Requirements:
- KBPL
- If the version in the title is higher than the one on the 'recent files' list, then you will have to wait until bukkit approves the latest version since KBPL could be updated and have code that does not work with previous versions of the plugin.
What it does:
The title pretty much says it all! But to be a bit more detailed, Loot makes it easy to create chests with randomly generated loot. The best part? No commands. Oh did I mention that it adds random enchantments to armor and weapons and can spawn random potions? Yeah, that too. Its the perfect loot generator for custom dungeons and worlds with randomly generated schematics.
Features:
- Automatic Chest Regeneration Refills chests automatically using a list of items that you configure.
- Enchantments You can configure whether loot chests will spawn items with random enchantments, or you can specify the enchantments yourself.
- Potion Effects Same as the enchantments, but with potions.
- Item naming Specify a name for the items spawned in a chest! You can also configure the plugin to let it add a random preffix/suffix to enchanted items, dependent of the enchantments applied.
- Lore Add lore to any item for that true rpg feel!
- Books You can set the title, author and text of books generated!
- Colors You can set the colors of the names/lore/whatever of each item.
- Randomness A lot of the properties of any item can be randomized, including the enchantments applied, name, amount, data value, chance for it to spawn at all, etc.
- Redstone Force a chest to reset by powering the sign!

- The way bukkit names effects is different than the default minecraft effects, so here are some tables of the names you should use on the config file:

- loot.sign.create - Lets you create Loot signs.
- loot.sign.break - Lets you break Loot signs.
- loot.command.name - Ability to use the command /loot name
- loot.command.reload - Ability to use the command /loot reload
- loot.list.x - Permission to open loot chests of x list

While I am updating and squashing bugs for free, working on new features requires time and everyone knows that time equals money.
I am however, open to suggestions that are directly related and crucial to the plugin.

Posted May 24, 2013Seeing as there's no tickets section, and my comment got washed out by two pages worth of comments within 24 hours (somehow), I'm going to reiterate a suggestion I made verbatim:
"Here's an interesting suggestion: when chests are "ready" to be looted, have it turn into a trapped chest (the red latch signals that it is ready). Of course, it should retain the name of the chest, if the chest was renamed. Then, when it's all emptied of its contents, it could turn back into a plain old chest.
One effect of this, is that if you actually "rigged" the chest to set off a trap, the trap will only go off when it's being looted while it has actual content. If some unlucky player accidentally clicks a looted chest again, that player will be "forgiven" in that the trap won't activate."
Also, there's a reason why a private messaging system exists on Bukkit, along with PasteBin for your configurations. :P

i was trying to use it as the item id and that why i was not working for me. then i seen the new page. but as for errors no i placed a chest looted it and waited 3 min and tryed still no loot in the chest. even when i turn loot for worlds off and just use signs its still not spawning it only spawns the one time i put the chest down here is my config

as for potion of healing this code works for me as I stated before

keep in mind the chance under effects must remain 100 so it remains as healing potion only.

Posted May 24, 2013my chest are not respawning loot once it has been loot i have the time set to 1 min for testing, im using world settings, not signs, is there a settings that is blocking this?

I have some issues like that the Chest doesn't fill with anything...
This is the list hat I have...

Posted May 23, 2013yes, the idea is to set longer spawn time for higher tier items, so low being wooden stuff, med iron, and high diamond, then you split food up depending on how you like it and such, I'm trying to imitate minez a bit with famcrafts twists :P

I'm not using a single sign on this world, everything is random. I hope this helps many of you understand how this plugin works. Up till now this is working, obviously med1 and high1 are other .yml lists in the list folder.

Posted May 23, 2013I took about 3 hours for my dev to figure out the problem, he had decompiled the plugin just to find the info lol, seems that you don't use wooden_sword, instead it's wood_sword, and such so I switched everything from wooden to wood, and also instead of shovel, I had to use spade, which that I should have known, maybe you should create a list of item names we can use when creating the yml files.
As for the potion which was another headache, for those looking to use healing potion here is the code you need:

obviously the first chance is whatever you want it to be, second chance under effects should remain 100 if you want it to always be healing potion. then the lvl is obviously what level of healing potion I believe theirs only 2 different types, not sure. but there you go hope this helps many of you
