Loot
Requirements:
- KBPL
- If the version in the title is higher than the one on the 'recent files' list, then you will have to wait until bukkit approves the latest version since KBPL could be updated and have code that does not work with previous versions of the plugin.
What it does:
The title pretty much says it all! But to be a bit more detailed, Loot makes it easy to create chests with randomly generated loot. The best part? No commands. Oh did I mention that it adds random enchantments to armor and weapons and can spawn random potions? Yeah, that too. Its the perfect loot generator for custom dungeons and worlds with randomly generated schematics.
Features:
- Automatic Chest Regeneration Refills chests automatically using a list of items that you configure.
- Enchantments You can configure whether loot chests will spawn items with random enchantments, or you can specify the enchantments yourself.
- Potion Effects Same as the enchantments, but with potions.
- Item naming Specify a name for the items spawned in a chest! You can also configure the plugin to let it add a random preffix/suffix to enchanted items, dependent of the enchantments applied.
- Lore Add lore to any item for that true rpg feel!
- Books You can set the title, author and text of books generated!
- Colors You can set the colors of the names/lore/whatever of each item.
- Randomness A lot of the properties of any item can be randomized, including the enchantments applied, name, amount, data value, chance for it to spawn at all, etc.
- Redstone Force a chest to reset by powering the sign!
- Uses Soulbound You can download the soulbound plugin for added functionality! Visit the plugin page here.
How it works:
Important Notes:
- Requires KBPL
- The way bukkit names effects is different than the default minecraft effects, so here are some tables of the names you should use on the config file:
Enchantments
Potion Types
- You can find the color codes here.
Permissions:
- loot.sign.create - Lets you create Loot signs.
- loot.sign.break - Lets you break Loot signs.
- loot.command.name - Ability to use the command /loot name
- loot.command.reload - Ability to use the command /loot reload
- loot.list.x - Permission to open loot chests of x list
Requesting new features:
If this plugin is missing that certain special feature, bribe me and I will gladly work on it!
While I am updating and squashing bugs for free, working on new features requires time and everyone knows that time equals money.
I am however, open to suggestions that are directly related and crucial to the plugin.

No, they don't disappear. The main reason the sign is there is because of a plugin that I'm making for my servers that has randomly generated schematics, and require some form of 'auto-setup' of a loot chest. I will add that to the to-do list though, as it could be usefull :)

There are other plugins that add this I'm sure. Look up "Lore" effects.

Posted May 18, 2013I think the weapons with potion effects would be a great idea, as would armor (fire resistance, invisibilty, regeneration). Not sure if those are possible, but perhaps consider them as a future installment?

Posted May 18, 2013Do the signs keep regenerating the loot inside of the chest when it is generated into the world or do the signs disappear? I want to use TerrainControl and custom BO2's to generate chests with custom loot/lore inside, but I want the chests to be a one-off.
Thanks.

it could be that you have 1 potion that has a 20% chance of having the speed effect and 80% chance of having the health effect. these 'chances' aren't relative, it only states that it has a higher chance of having that effect and that if it doesn't pass the chance check, it moves on to the next effect and see if it passes the chance check.
This also applies to the chance in the spawn section of an item.
TL;DR version:
have the speed effect go first on the list with a 20% chance. Then have the health effect after with a 100% chance.

Posted May 17, 2013Okay well i figured out how to do the potions (Thanks for that :D) but i have it set to where its 80% for a health potion and 20% for a speed potion. And somehow, regular water bottles still continue to spawn?

Well, an example for the seed would be
items: seeds: spawn: chance: 100 stack: '15-15'@hypocratic2
If you downloaded the latest ones of both then none of them should be out of date. Make sure you have the configuration right!

You need to use the item 'potion' and give it the potion effect that you want. link to the different effects in the description under 'important notes'

I'd say that after the 20th, due to finals being this and next week
@Nectrooox
To set the color the dye will be you need to set the data value. In the minecraft wiki you can search for the ink sac and then see the appropriate data value for the color you want. In the case of Rose Red it would be 1.

I've tested all of the lists. They work perfectly fine individually, including the list that those files have been inheriting from. But trying to string them together with inheritance just doesn't work. :(
EDIT: Actually, I created two brand new files with only one item each and apparently they link fine. I guess there is something wrong, but it isn't any typos because the four lists work fine independently. I'll sift through it all and figure it out myself, I suppose. Thanks for keeping up with the posts! Do you have any kind of ETA on the update? Nothing specific of course, just curious if it'll be, say, within the week. Cheers!
Alright, after a lot of experimentation, I figured it out. It was actually the filename itself that it didn't like. Using capital letters in the inheritance made it hiccup! All I had to do was set the inheritance to "boxmine2com" instead and it worked perfectly!

Hmmm... due to the big changes I've made to the next build, I cant 'track down' this error. I'm guessing that it might be a typo in the inheritance or in the list yml file that's being called, but I can't say for sure.
Oh and soulbound that was changed to the 'plugins' section, fixed in the config page.

Posted May 13, 2013Latest says it requires KBPL v1.0.5 but your link only lists v1.0.4 as available. Where are we to download 1.0.5??
