Loot
Requirements:
- KBPL
- If the version in the title is higher than the one on the 'recent files' list, then you will have to wait until bukkit approves the latest version since KBPL could be updated and have code that does not work with previous versions of the plugin.
What it does:
The title pretty much says it all! But to be a bit more detailed, Loot makes it easy to create chests with randomly generated loot. The best part? No commands. Oh did I mention that it adds random enchantments to armor and weapons and can spawn random potions? Yeah, that too. Its the perfect loot generator for custom dungeons and worlds with randomly generated schematics.
Features:
- Automatic Chest Regeneration Refills chests automatically using a list of items that you configure.
- Enchantments You can configure whether loot chests will spawn items with random enchantments, or you can specify the enchantments yourself.
- Potion Effects Same as the enchantments, but with potions.
- Item naming Specify a name for the items spawned in a chest! You can also configure the plugin to let it add a random preffix/suffix to enchanted items, dependent of the enchantments applied.
- Lore Add lore to any item for that true rpg feel!
- Books You can set the title, author and text of books generated!
- Colors You can set the colors of the names/lore/whatever of each item.
- Randomness A lot of the properties of any item can be randomized, including the enchantments applied, name, amount, data value, chance for it to spawn at all, etc.
- Redstone Force a chest to reset by powering the sign!

- The way bukkit names effects is different than the default minecraft effects, so here are some tables of the names you should use on the config file:

Permissions:
- loot.sign.create - Lets you create Loot signs.
- loot.sign.break - Lets you break Loot signs.
- loot.command.name - Ability to use the command /loot name
- loot.command.reload - Ability to use the command /loot reload
- loot.list.x - Permission to open loot chests of x list

If this plugin is missing that certain special feature, bribe me and I will gladly work on it!
While I am updating and squashing bugs for free, working on new features requires time and everyone knows that time equals money.
I am however, open to suggestions that are directly related and crucial to the plugin.

Right now I'm very busy, but I'll see to this when I have time. it's probably just removing the restrictions.

Posted Apr 29, 2013PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASEEEE allow the ability to put enchantments on normal items, for instance I want to put sharpness II on my feather so people can open a chest and be like "omg guys I found a feather" and then other people be like "LMAO dude! a feather isn't worth anything" -guys kills people with the feather- please allow this! minecraft already supports it using enchantment books btw

This is pretty open, so make sure you got KBPL, there's 1 block between the chest and the sign and that nothing appears on the console when you open the chest.

You mean the data value like changing what color of dye and type of sapling etc? All you need to do is change 'data' under 'properties'.

Does anything appear in the console when you start the server? Do you get a message saying 'Syntax Error' when you type '/loot' ?

Posted Apr 27, 2013Having trouble making items with colon ID's lootable. Like potions, and dye's etc. Any tip? That, and I'm not sure if it's just me. But when I make a loot chest, and lets say, at the bottom, instead of saying look 1-3 min/max items, I'll put 2-3. and it will still only have one item of loot. Thanks

Posted Apr 24, 2013How do you add potion effects to weapons or items? And a suggestion... Maybe add it to where items can have certain potion effects with chances like
diamond_sword: effects: poison: chance: lvl: chance-to-poison: 1-100
hence the addition of chance to poison, since I don't really want it to poison people EVERY time, as it would be a bit OP. Is this possible to do? :D

Well, I guess you could say it's on 'maybe'. Right now I'm just sharing a couple of plugins that I made for a server that I will be hosting. Right now per-player loot chests isn't something I would want on my server, hence the reason it's still not a feature. I'ts on the to-do list, it just isn't my highest priority. :/
About PhatLoots, I haven't tested it myself, but by looking at the description I'd say yes. They handle item creation/spawning very differently and should not collide as long as a single chest doesn't have both plugins making changes to it.

Posted Apr 21, 2013Hey, I really like this plugin but I just have a suggestion here. Have you considered a per player respawn time like ChestRegen? It could be configured so each player could loot a chest once a day or just once forever in the case of some really rare loot.
Also, is this compatible with item editing plugins like phatloot?

I'm fairly sure that just putting the permissions on the permissions.yml that comes default with bukkit should work. I haven't tested it myself though.
