Loot
Requirements:
- KBPL
- If the version in the title is higher than the one on the 'recent files' list, then you will have to wait until bukkit approves the latest version since KBPL could be updated and have code that does not work with previous versions of the plugin.
What it does:
The title pretty much says it all! But to be a bit more detailed, Loot makes it easy to create chests with randomly generated loot. The best part? No commands. Oh did I mention that it adds random enchantments to armor and weapons and can spawn random potions? Yeah, that too. Its the perfect loot generator for custom dungeons and worlds with randomly generated schematics.
Features:
- Automatic Chest Regeneration Refills chests automatically using a list of items that you configure.
- Enchantments You can configure whether loot chests will spawn items with random enchantments, or you can specify the enchantments yourself.
- Potion Effects Same as the enchantments, but with potions.
- Item naming Specify a name for the items spawned in a chest! You can also configure the plugin to let it add a random preffix/suffix to enchanted items, dependent of the enchantments applied.
- Lore Add lore to any item for that true rpg feel!
- Books You can set the title, author and text of books generated!
- Colors You can set the colors of the names/lore/whatever of each item.
- Randomness A lot of the properties of any item can be randomized, including the enchantments applied, name, amount, data value, chance for it to spawn at all, etc.
- Redstone Force a chest to reset by powering the sign!

- The way bukkit names effects is different than the default minecraft effects, so here are some tables of the names you should use on the config file:

Permissions:
- loot.sign.create - Lets you create Loot signs.
- loot.sign.break - Lets you break Loot signs.
- loot.command.name - Ability to use the command /loot name
- loot.command.reload - Ability to use the command /loot reload
- loot.list.x - Permission to open loot chests of x list

If this plugin is missing that certain special feature, bribe me and I will gladly work on it!
While I am updating and squashing bugs for free, working on new features requires time and everyone knows that time equals money.
I am however, open to suggestions that are directly related and crucial to the plugin.

1. You can specify a name for the item ('name' under 'properties'), if a name is set, it wont use a random prefix/sufix. So while you can have 'Beat Stick', it wont add the sufix 'of flames' because you opted to use a set name. I was planning on making a list of random basic names for each item though, but thats for later.
2. right now there's no range of data values, but that can be implemented easily :)
3. I think I know whats causing the error, but since I cant seem to reproduce it, please post or pm me your config so I can examine it.

Posted Mar 19, 2013EDIT: i actually have no clue what is causing this error at all, seems to be happening alot though.
EDIT 2: It seems like the error comes if you have two of the same item with different values. like two iron sword, one at 3% spawn with 180 durability one at 1% spawn with 150 durability.

Posted Mar 19, 2013i know you said you weren't planning on adding any new functionality to the plugin anytime soon, but when you decide to get around to adding more could you please please please add the ability to determine min and max loot for chests that are default world spawns?being able to make the loot tables and set the world to have all chests be loot chests would be alot more useful if you could tell them to only spawn 1-3 items.
Also... Thank you very much for plugging into soulbound so quickly! these two are perfect for each other :)
and finally.. a couple questions about the new config.
1: is it possible to actually specify an items name? or is the random names added the only thing that changes?
example; naming a wooden sword "beat stick" so if flaming enchant is applied it would be "Beat stick of flames"
2: with random data values is it possible to set a min-max for the random to use?
example; stone_sword:25-75r?

Also was curious using this plugin called crackshots for guns, in the chest it still shows there original name when you remove them of course they change to there gun version hopeing a way to have it show there gun name inside the chest.

Posted Mar 16, 2013Major update! You can see the additions in the changelog.
Warning: The changes made were pretty big, and the old versions of the configuration no longer work. Its for the best though! The new configuration has the lists separated into files in the 'Lists' folder and will make it a LOT easier to manage and understand.
I have not updated the instructions in 'the configuration file' page, as I just uploaded it, but the files already provided by the plugin should make it fairly easy to understand and configure. Don't worry, ill have the page set up soon!
Also, remember to update to the latest version of KBPL!

Well those are already fixed for the next version of the plugin, right now I was working with random item naming. Its almost done, but a lot of university work has completely paused work on it :P
If I were to give it a date though I'd say that it'll be up this weekend :)

If using the simple list, change the last argument to 'false'. example:
- diamond_sword,1-1,15,false
The ':r' is just an optional argument to make the item's data value random. So you can have weapons/armor/etc spawn with random damage and watnot.
